We had a wonderful stay in the Viking longhouse as a family of four (kids aged 14 & 6) and our lovely dog, Nell. The space was warm, cosy, and thoughtfully equipped—with a gas stove, outdoor BBQ, cafetière, pots, pans, and even tea, coffee, and sugar waiting for us! The log fire made rainy evenings a dream. The setting is stunning—private and peaceful with beautiful views of the Welsh countryside. We loved the sauna and cold tub, and chatting with other guests added to the experience. The organic shop was a hidden gem, stocked with fruit, veg, local meats, eggs, milk, and even wine—I’d have packed less had I known it was so well stocked! Communal areas like the barn and kitchen looked fantastic, although we didn’t use them much. Our hosts were so welcoming and full of great recommendations—we especially enjoyed Ty Coch Inn, the Aberglas walk, and The Goat Inn. A wonderful, memorable family getaway we’ll always treasure!

I can’t speak highly enough of the space and Emma, the host. Emma is extremely responsive with any queries whatsoever. She was so knowledgeable and helpful and the check in was seamless. When we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat but the pictures just don’t do it justice. The yurt is absolutely magical and Emma has thought of everything, anything you could possibly need is provided and the instruction booklet is clear and thorough so you know how everything works. We slept like kittens in the very comfy bed and it is so unbelievably cosy and relaxing, we didn’t stop smiling the whole time. Thoroughly recommend taking advantage of the hot tub and the pizza oven, Emma’s dough was delicious and the instructions to work the oven were very clear and helpful. We didn’t want to leave. The whole place is so magical with the fairy lights and going to sleep to the sound of owls was really lovely. We will 100% be back. Thank you so much, Emma ❤️❤️❤️

Très bon séjour de 4 nuits chez Emma et Jon, nous avons été très bien accueillis. Nous étions seuls sur le site et avons pu pleinement profiter des commodités. Les yourtes sont très spacieuses et cosy avec le poêle à bois. La cuisine commune est très bien équipée et nettoyée chaque jour. Emma et Jon sont très réactifs (changement du chauffe eau défectueux dans la journée). Ils ont toujours un mot gentil, sans etre envahissant. Pas de vue direct sur le loch comme les photos pourraient le suggérer. Le petit plus: les œufs frais du poulailler.

Such a wonderful place this was my second stay. I went with my friend last August and returned with my husband as I enjoyed it so much. Beautiful yurt such a cosy feeling the Highland cows are wonderful, also the friendly dogs one of which enjoyed playing football with my husband. We had the choices of cooking in the fantastic kitchen facilities or ordering food locally which came right up and delivered at the yurt so had the best of both which made this a nice relaxing few days. Thank you, Andrea you have a wonderful place.

What a find! We will definitely be back. They had thought of everything… even a solar powered charger! I thought it was just wonderful. Thank you.

Lovely place to stay. This is our second time staying here and we loved it. The location is great. It is easy to walk down to Llanberis. I would recommend having the heating on in the bathrooms, as it is very cold in there. But the bathrooms are very clean and they are looked after very well. The yurt itself is great, the bed is comfortable ( a little unsteady) and the sheets are very warm. It would be nice to have some sort of clothes drying rack. The weekend was very wet and we struggled to dry our clothes despite wearing all the correct walking gear. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! The facilities are great and there is fresh drinking water close to the Yurts. It would be nice to have a stove and some cutlery, but despite that we love it. Very enjoyable stay x

We spent 2 lovely nights in the yurt, which could have been a challenge since it is January! But everything was super, despite snow and rain and minus temperatures! It is very peaceful, pretty isolated with amazing views and sunsets. It is 'back to basics' - but as described. The outdoor kitchen was fun, and had most things we needed. The fire 'pit' has a grill and there was plenty of wood and kindling. We did bring our own chairs (lots of log seating, but all a bit damp in winter). The water had frozen when we arrived but Rosie left us 2 large cartons of water, so all good. And the yurt was toasty once we lit the indoor burner. Woods are full of wildlife, spotted 2 deer and an owl... and heard much more. Will be back in the warmer months for sure!

We had a really relaxing stay! The whole place was idyllic, secluded, and peaceful. We slept warm in a very comfortable bed with a log fire and the sounds of wildlife around us, played pool and cooked in the barn cottage, and the bathroom was spacious and shower amazing. We cooked over an open fire pit and sat around the bonfire, everywhere we looked there were little characterful details, and we found it the ideal location to visit both north and south Cornwall. Rufus greeted us warmly and made sure we knew to contact him for any reason then left us to enjoy ourselves. One day we’d love to return to the yurt and cobb cottage, a real find!

Beautiful yurt, very relaxing and cosy. Isla gave brilliant directions, helpful in every way. The yurt was equipped with everything you could possibly need, shower lovely and hot. We would love to return.

What a wonderful place!! absolutely stunning, each area is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. the yurt and beds very comfy with electric blankets. kitchen area with table and shower, outdoor bath and sauna perfect!! under shelter fire, hammocks and seating area all wonderful. connected with nature and left feeling refreshed. highly recommed staying here!!! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and sharing your lovely space with us.

We had a lovy night away in Marakesh, yurt everything was as deacribed. Alison had hot tub ready for use on arrival. Such lovely peaceful surroundings, we had a great night away. The duck visitors were an added pleasure. We hope to definatly return for longer nezt time.

We came to Barefoot Yurts to escape the routine and reconnect in nature, and it was above and beyond what we had imagined! I can't recommend a stay here enough, we left feeling so rested and happy and enjoyed every moment in the space. The facilities were fantastic we had everything we needed along with some beautiful and thoughtful touches, everything was so comfortable and the view from the yurts is so special. We arranged our weekend specifically in line with the full harvest moon and were able to watch the moonrise so clearly and in total bliss around the campfire ... thank you Julia :) x

Wow, this must be the best place we have ever stayed at! It was our first experience in a yurt and the yurt was just brilliant and very cozy! Hot tub outside the yurt was just perfect to relax in in the evening, nice and warm for this cold weather and cleaned regularly. Lots of delicious food a little drive away from the site, well worth trying! We were made to feel very comfortable and nothing was too much of an ask from Michelle and Phil. We'll definitely be coming back again!

Amazing way to spend a few days on Gigha. The ger is in a beautiful garden a few minutes from the ferry, right beside Joe and Hannah's shop. They're incredible hosts - very welcoming and helpful. Loved it and hope to return one day!

We had a great time and will definitely be returning again soon! We hiked the west Dorset to three peaks and returned to sit in the hot tub peacefully to recover from our hikes, Everything was perfect! Highly recommended *****

We loved our stay here, really peaceful, lots of wildlife and beautiful countryside. The yurt was lovely and felt homely, the bed was really comfortable too. We didnt want to leave. Kate and Richard were perfect hosts, we found them friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Devon.

We had a wonderful stay and Jon has been a lovely host giving us great tips about the area. The yurt was great for anyone who wants to be remote and experience the south of Mull. Great location to get to the southern beaches and Iona. All the commodities were great, we cooked easily and the space was warm and cosy. We’ll definitely come back here :)

The yurt was absolutely beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful, such perfect surroundings. The hot tub was lush and everything felt more rewarding after having to make fires and heat up the stove and hot tub yourself! Pen was communicative, friendly, left us some cider and eggs from her chickens which was a fantastic touch! The bed was comfortable and inside of the yurt had all of the utensils bits you’d need for cooking. It was also very spacious inside and outside of the yurt. Lovely walks nearby and pubs too. Can’t wait to go back again!

Wholesome break away in Norfolk staying in the most beautiful little yurt in perfect surroundings. Tranquil and relaxing, we had complete privacy and everything was exactly as stated. We were set back from the world, in a field surrounded by trees. Communication with the owners was fantastic. Both Jonny and Denise were so helpful. If you want a simplistic, chilled vibe, look no further. We lit the fire pit on the last night and did some star gazing. Thank you! We will be back!! X x

Sophie & Calums yurt is absolutely incredible. From the moment we stepped into it we felt transported to something out of a fairytale. Instructions on how to use and operate everything (shower, kitchen, lighting, etc) was super clear and easy to follow and we even awoke to a freshly baked surprise of bread and pasties our first morning! Could not recommend this stay enough!

We had a great time at Mill Haven Place - we stayed in the sunset yurt with our two kids and it was perfect. The woodburner in the yurt made it really cosy and the covered outdoor kitchenette was great for meal prep. The pitches are well spaced out and the design with the trees makes it feel private yet spacious. We would definitely recommend!

Just back from a lovely weekend. The yurts are beautiful, really comfy and in the most relaxed surroundings. Easy walk into Emsworth which is stunning - like a little piece of Cornwall right on the Sussex Hampshire border. Lots of great places to eat and lovely walks. On Sunday we too the Oyster Boat ‘Terror’ out for a sail, right from the marina the yurts are in, and this was an incredible end to our wonderful weekend! We will be back!

Really lovely place to stay near the Jurassic coast. Yurt/ site was great and as described with everything you needed. Amazing country side location with some lovely walks around and a pub and shop in walking distance. Only a short drive from durdle door and Lulworth cove which is exactly what we wanted. Judy was great and really responsive if we had any questions and there was a book with lots of local recommendations. Definitely somewhere I would recommend if you are looking for a countryside break near the Jurassic coast. Also some really cool Alpacas and Horses :)

This place is idyllic and has everything you need. The bathroom is heated and perfect as are all the amenities. My kids absolutely loved the games room, swimming pool and feeding the animals was their absolute favourite thing! The farm is situated in a great spot, easy to get to beaches and fabulous walks around it. We will definitely be back, we all loved our stay!
