Lovely nights stay, the lodge was spotless clean and had everything we needed. Slippers, robes and the goodies left were a wonderful bonus. Will definitely be back!

Barry’s place was lovely you could not fault it in a single way the way you walked in and felt right at home, the information from Barry telling you where and how to get in to the place you honestly could not fault it we will be back it’s the perfect stay for any couple who wants a bit of peace and quiet along with a lovely host

this stay was perfect. the drive past Barnard castle is beautiful with loads of little cafes/pubs/shops ect in the village. On arrival it was super easy to check in and everything we needed was provided. host Julia was so friendly and responsive and made both me and my partner feel so welcome. will be back again!

My family and I stayed Monday to Friday, fabulous site, the lodge was perfect for us and the staff really helpful. Lovely stay.

Absolutely amazing stay could not recommend enough! Hosts were fantastic and very friendly. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the river which is just a short walk away from where you're staying is 100% worth the visit. Youll not be disappointed. We will most definitely be coming back!

From booking the chalet, Gill and Nick were so very helpful, and very proactive. Travelling with a large hound, it is normally a real challenge to find somewhere that ticks all our boxes, but Gill and Nick were so hospitable, and welcoming, and their accommodation so perfect for our needs, they not only ticked the boxes, they well surpassed them. They even looked after our bouncy English pointer for the day (and night) when we went on a trip into Manchester, walking her regularly, and treating her as their own. She didn’t want to leave!. Many, many thanks to the best hosts one could ever wish for! Recommend very highly, especially of travelling with your beloved pet! 😁😁😁🐶🐾🥰🥰

Stayed for 3 nights and didn't see one person, i even went for a walk around the area... its what I wanted, peace and quiet... beautiful inside and out. I'm definitely going again loved it, I could live there.

We've just returned from a short stay at my happy hounds. Our glamping pod Hugo was absolutely perfect for our stay. It had everything we needed and was absolutely spotless considering these are dog friendly. The welcome pack was also a nice touch with all quality items. We have 2 dogs one that is very nervous, he settled in well as it was peaceful and private and having ample space for them to run and play at the pod and the secure dog fields, these are a great facility for anyone traveling with a dog. It's only a short drive to find local amenities and finding my happy hounds was easy with Google maps being accurate. The communication from Harry was excellent with plenty of information and help if needed. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and have already started talking of booking again for the future. Great little gem. Very peaceful location. Lovely views especially with the calves in the field! Having the secure garden area for our dog was perfect. Nicely decorated and lovely extra touches such as Scrabble and the chocolate, milk and eggs were also much appreciated. Will definitely return.

Booked this stay as a last minute get away and we absolutely loved it, the pod is great and it has a gate to keep your dog inside! Toilet and shower rooms are spotless. The fishing lakes are lovely, Adele is great and is everything you look for in a host. Had a fantastic time and will be rebooking as soon as I’ve posted this review!

Badger cabin is a hidden away gem. Stay was 10/10. The place was absolutely beautiful & clean. Definitely felt at home immediately, bed was super cosy and the cabin in general was wonderful to stay in. Loved the scenic surrounding of the fields and animals. A breath of fresh air. Maureen also was very kind and welcoming us to her property. She showed us around, told us about some local restaurants & things to do and gave us some amazing local insight on the village. We will definitely be staying here again as we were welcomed with open arms and Maureen & Ray were just absolutely wonderful.

We stayed at Riverside Cabins as a surprise for my husband's birthday. From the time of booking, with help to have balloons in the cabin prior to our arrival, to organising the hot tub to warm up quicker as we were only staying for 1 night, everyone was so friendly, accommodating & extremely helpful! I couldn't recommend this place enough! The location is no more than perfect! It was a freezing cold night (-2 i think) which gave us the beautifully clear skies on which to view the stars from the hot tub. I couldn't think of a better place to have been on such a perfect night! Luckily we live local so will definitely be staying again and I have already recommended Riverside Cabins to my family and friends. The cabin was clean, warm and cosy, well equiped & beautifully decorated with a very comfy bed. Loved it! I would say more but I'm running out of the allocated number of characters! Quick you need to book before you miss out on experiencing such a perfect location! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great value for money and very clean place to stay. Sam’s instructions on arrival were clear and made check in very easy :) the kitchen was fully stocked with the basics for our stay including tea and coffee, the biscuits left were a lovely touch there is no WiFi at the accommodation and signal is very patchy but I loved being off my phone for a couple of days. Wonderful stay 🙌🏻

Booked this stay as a surprise for my fiancé for our anniversary. We absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone. Such a beautiful cabin that enabled us to feel relaxed and enjoy the peaceful environment. The host was very helpful when responding to messages and gave very clear instructions on how to find the place. There was a folder inside the cabin that listed some walking routes which were very close by and the walks themselves were very nice.

Just got back from our stay at the Lodge. had a lovely time and John is just fantastic. lots to do for the kids and seeing the process of a canoe being built was a bonus. John is a fantastic host and always going above and beyond to make sure your stay bosch perfect. which it was. Will definitely be returning again soon

Peter's place was spotless! he is an awesome host and even helped us set up a barbecue. the place is exactly as advertised and we loved the vibes!

Woodcutters is a place of peace and tranquility.Private,secluded,restful.The perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.Perfect sun trap in the afternoon makes the Japanese bath a lovely experience.Would 100% recommend and would stay again
