There is a "secret" place, within the Los Glaciares National Park, known only to us, the locals, which is not usually listed among the options of the tourism agencies of our city for one reason only: all their hiking circuits are free. It is a place of wild and extreme beauty, located south of the National Park, where it is worth camping at least one night. It is about Roca Lake: a small magical lake surrounded by forest, sheep farms and mountains. Ideal to know the old patagonian "Wool Road" ("Ruta de la Lana") and to climb the Cerro Cristal, 1,282 meters high. Its summit is going to give you the most unforgettable postcard of the Perito Moreno Glacier.
