We tend to stay in Boothbay when visiting but a round-trip (Portland-Boothbay-Portland) can be accomplished with an eager crew. We sometimes eat going or returning at Fat Boy Drive-In (classic 50's American style diner) pull your car up and they come take your order.

Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is about an hour from this rental home but absolutely worth the drive! Reserve your tickets online before heading down. Consider stopping at the Boothbay Railway Village on your way if you have young children or antique vehicle enthusiasts. Bet's Fish Fry is right on the way as well.
