Damariscotta Mills – see the gorgeously refurbished fish ladder leading to the bottom of the lake. Bring bathing suits and swim with locals! You’ll see people on either side of the big gray house… left side is a shallow entry, right side people jump off the bridge.
See if there’s anything going on at the Lincoln Country Community Theater during your stay.
After spending time in town, drive out to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, which is on the Maine state quarter. Then head to Pemaquid Beach for soft sand and vibrant tide pools and stop at Shaw’s Lobster Wharf on your way home.

This is the lighthouse where Forrest Gump turned around when he was running in the movie. It's a gorgeous spot off of Port Clyde and there are nearby beaches and a general store to visit as well.

Not far from our property, this general store boasts breakfast sandwiches ever that are made with homemade bread and red pepper jelly that they make themselves but regrettably won’t sell by the jar. They carry interesting locally made goods as well.
