This is here because it has a bar and ice cream kiosk for the campers in the middle of no where! and there are footpath circular routes here. A public path goes through the site. Utilising a map find Sandy Gap on the River Thet at Bridgham and park here, play pooh sticks on one of the cleanest rivers in Britain. Try geocaching which introduces circular routes around this part of Thetford forest. If you can find the lodges with hot tubs use their good restaurant on a deck. On one perimeter West Harling church is worth approaching. Look out for mushrooms, snakes, deer, wild raspberries and strawberries. Great for off road cycling with a few bomb holes as mentioned in Park Common. Peddars Way bridge is close as well. This long distance route starts at Knettishall and heads 43 miles off Rd to Heacham Seahenge.
