Off-grid living, high in the Shropshire Hills

The Garden Room is a private, cosy, off-grid apartment that's perfect for couples in search of a quiet break or looking to explore the area. It has basic kitchen facilities along with a king size bed, a wood burning stove and a piping hot shower. We have reliable wifi, no tv and an ok mobile signal. Lovely up here this time of year and plenty of wildlife to be seen; deer in the garden, swallows zooming about, the other morning I saw two hares leaping and sparring in the front yard - just great.

Getting around we would suggest you have a car or bike as there is no public transport or cabs. Please note we are a working farm so you will see and hear tractors during your stay. There are no shared spaces. The accommodation is in a separate building from the main guest house. The Attic is cosy yet very spacious accommodation. Set just off Abbey Foregate. 5 minutes walk to the Abbey, English Bridge and Wyle Cop. 8 minute walk to Train Station, the Castle and Prison. Access to River Severn walks and the weir just 2 minutes away through the lovely Castlefields Park directly opposite. We can provide contactless entry and exit to suit.
