Mirembe Cottage: 45 acres of peace

Mirembe is a Ugandan word meaning peace and tranquillity; this perfectly describes our 45 acre property. The cottage is privately set on the edge of our forest: Sit on the verandah watching the kangaroos, search the trees for koalas; at night look to the sky to see the million stars, fireflies in the creek or into the firepit flames. Take a stroll through our private trails: Nature surrounds you. Breakfast food supplied, and a few locally made frozen dinners in the freezer- but not free.

'Carreg Cottage' Private hinterland stone cottage

Retreat to your private, cozy, hand built rustic stone cottage with modern conveniences. Nestled in the foothills of the Blackall Ranges on a 15 acre hobby farm. Close proximity to all the wonders of the Sunshine Coast. Your days can be filled with activities and your nights blanketed in stars relaxing next to the fire, drink in hand. We think you will love your stay and leave feeling recharged and inspired. Tea, Nespresso coffee, milk and sugar, basic toiletries and toilet paper provided.

The Cottage

Our property is a short walk to the beach, down a quiet leafy street. The cottage is nestled in shady surrounds in our backyard. From a private side entrance the stepping stones lead you into an airy and welcoming self-contained cottage. On street parking is safe and directly outside the property. The cottage offers privacy and an opportunity to get-away-from-it-all and relax in your own space. There are various norestaurants within easy walking distance that offer an array of cuisines.

Seaview Gardens

Beach location with spectacular ocean views. A short stroll through your own private beach track, the beach is literally your backyard. This beautiful self-contained and very private suite has spectacular ocean views. Wake up to the sound of the ocean and chirping of birds from the rainforest retreat reserve. Our air conditioned, pet friendly unit is a private separate space with your own entrance, lounge room, bedroom with ensuite and garden and outdoor BBQ dining area. We are near Lake Weyba which has lovely walking tracks .There is a walking trail through the National Park to Peregian Beach (3kms). A rare find to be on a rural property abundant with Australian wildlife and only a short drive to several patrolled beaches, shops and excellent cafes in an exceptionally dog friendly area!

Birdsong Villa - Figtrees on Watson

Birdsong Villa (at Figtrees on Watson) is a purpose architect designed fully self contained cottage for use by our short stay guests. It is on the same property as our very popular Betharam Villa (see Figtrees on Watson listing for photos and information about this beautiful property). The villa has been designed to be wheelchair friendly with wide door opening and minimal door sills. The villa was completed in early 2021 and had been finished and furnished to a high standard.
