Drive down past our farm amongst the trees and wildlife. Adventure awaits in this beautifully recently converted school bus. See what it's like to live in a tiny home with all the amenities. Get fresh eggs from the chickens, sit on the porch, roast s'mores, lay in the hammock, play games, shower with nature all around you, and just rest and restore. Take your opportunity to stay on Inlet Island in Lake Tapps! Enjoy the private park and boat launch just a few doors down. This house sits across the street from the lake, but has all the amenities. Enjoy the quiet amongst the trees, the eagles flying above and yet Costco is just 4 miles away! Nothing more fun than being so close to Crystal Mt for skiing, snowboarding, sledding & the Gondola to see Mt Rainer and the Cascade Range up close too! Or skiing, snowshoeing at Snoqualmie Pass.

Lakefront Cottage w/ Hot Sauna and Large Backyard

Enjoy a nice getaway in this charming cottage at Lake Tapps while taking in the view from Mount Rainier. Enjoy the benefits of a lake front house and relax by the water or go paddleboarding or kayaking all day and then relax on your own private sandy beach in the evening or a nice hot steam sauna. This home is also only an hour away from Crystal Mountain, making it an ideal home base for your skiing trip! After a day in the slopes, come back and enjoy the hot sauna.

Cozy Barn Loft

Cozy studio in barn loft with a close-up view to secluded wooded setting. Two large, leather recliners provide a relaxing place to read or nap! This space was repurposed as a guest room in 2019 and includes a bathroom (with a very roomy shower) and a kitchenette (sink, small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, Keurig, toaster). Two matching twin beds can be made up as a king-sized bed. There is one additional twin (inflatable) bed if needed for a third person.

Waterfront Cabana with fireplace and hot tub

At the waters edge of Lake Tapps you’ll find our cabana. It’s hidden and private within our residential property. You’ll have the entire waterfront to yourself. Fish off the dock, kayak, or just relax in seclusion. Outdoors you’ll find a large covered porch, fireplace and hot tub. Inside- a queen wall Bed, small sofa bed, fireplace, cable TV, Wifi. Neighbors are not close. Please be aware the shower is in an outdoor room accessed through the bathroom.

Welcome to Gilbert's Cottage! Be our guest for a night or stay longer if you want access to the greater PNW. Our home sits on an acre in the farmland of the Puyallup valley. Check out downtown Sumner or Puyallup main street for boutiques, cafés, pubs, and local breweries. Short drive to the waterfront, grocery stores, farm stands, Washington state fairgrounds and hospitals. Bring your pet to keep you company. Room to park a smaller trailer if needed.
