  • Private, walkable to the French quarter, everything we needed was there to make our stay easy. Would recommend.

  • The space was wonderful, and it was a great location. It was a quick walk to the French Quarter.

  • April & Ken's apartment was brilliant, really spacious and very clean and modern had everything we needed for our stay. We didn't get to meet April, but Ken is such a nice bloke, he was willing to spend time with us when we bumped into him to tell us places to go eat and drink. Location was good, short bus ride to bourbon and Frenchman. Would definitely stay again.

    Christopher2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time staying at this Airbnb. It's a great location, as it's just a short walking distance to the French Quarter. Ken and April were welcoming and gave us some good tips on where to go and eat. Thanks ever so much.

  • April and Ken's place was great, a very cozy guesthouse close to the French Quarter and walking distance from Willie Mae's Scotch House, a must hit restaurant in New Orleans! We loved our stay.

    Kevin2016-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • April and Ken are awesome host! Their place was perfect. We cruised on our bikes all over the French quarter. We were very cozy and felt right at home. We will be back soon! Nola is the best place on earth❤️

    Allison2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here during the essence festival and really enjoyed ourselves. Normally when I travel to New Orleans I stay on canal street but I won't anymore. The property was exactly as stated. Furniture and accommodations were great. Not too far from the flare of New Orleans. Great bar nearby Buffas...you won't be disappointed, at all. Ken and April were available for questions and answered very quickly. Bikes were available but we didn't use them...wish we had more time. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. No doubt. Thank you guys for being great hosts.

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire. New Orleans license number is 17STR-06526.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house on the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iPod player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. We welcome special requests and will do anything we can to accommodate you. The room is ideal for one to two people, but we can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your child. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • Erin's place is a sweet little oasis in New Orleans. We did not meet Erin but found her responsive and kind by phone. It was nice to stay in a real New Orleans neighborhood away from the touristy hustle bustle, we felt safe and super comfortable in our room. We would love to stay here again. The bed was wonderful, the room temperature perfect, the style soothing and the value couldn't be beat.

    Kimberly2015-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Easy access to the french quarter on the historic street car. Also gives you easy access to another aspect of New Orleans by seeing the Mid City. Also easy to get to City Park wich is an part of the city I would not have made it a point to see if i had not been staying this location. The room was very clean and very comfortable.

    Lucas2013-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was a great host and greeted us when we arrived. The room was very nice and clean and she provided everything that we would possibly need while visiting. She gave us a lot of recommendations on what do do, where to go, etc which was very helpful. I would definitely go back and stay at her house again!

    Rebecca2014-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Erin was a great hostess! Her home is beautiful, and our room was very comfortable and private. The location was convenient to a lot of the great neighborhoods in the city. We had a really authentic and lovely time staying here!

    Claire2014-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • I came to New Orleans for my LASIK surgery and Erin's place was perfect in every way. It was secluded and very relaxing, exactly what I needed the day of my surgery. Her guidebook gave excellent suggestions too. My only regret is not being able to stay longer!

    Erica2016-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's listing is fantastic. The space is clean, cozy & beautiful and the location is ideal -- close enough to the French Quarter and Bourbon St, but far enough away that it was relaxing and quiet while we were sleeping. Parking was easy, communication was great, and the fact that this room was dog friendly was an added bonus!

    Lena2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Read all the reviews and have to say that the "inviting" personality portrayed was not seen. Seemed annoyed when I tried to make plans to arrive for an earlier check in, and also annoyed that I asked for help in way to reach the jazz festival. Check out was at 11 pm and at 11:30 my boyfriend and I received knocking on the door asking when we were going to leave. (We were on or way out) New Orleans people are not usually like this so I was surprised by the behavior. The location on the home itself is fine but pictures look deceiving. It's not a guest home it's a room attached to the back of their house. Not sure what happened but Erin wasn't a great host for me.

    Katy2017-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's house was awesome, and so was she! She was super friendly and even offered to look in on our pooch while we were out sightseeing. The room reminds me of an upscale boutique hotel - very comfortable bed and linens and lots of little extras... chocolate, beers, robes... Great stay all around.

  • We had a wonderful experience here! Matthew was so accommodating with our arrival and departure! The apartment is so cute and clean and equipped with everything you'll need. He left us a great list of personal recommendations and was always very helpful when we had any questions!

    Katie2016-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Matt was an incredible host! The studio is in a perfect location and he has great suggestions for restaurant, bars and running trails! The studio was clean well equipped and extremely cozy. I had to work from the studio a few days and the internet connection was perfect! Highly recommended for anyone that is looking for a little space in a cool area!

    Stephanie2017-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay while visiting New Orleans. A short walk from the streetcar that takes you on a lovely scenic route to get into the French Quarter. The studio was clean and beautiful! Matt was helpful with any questions, and they were also great about making it feel like we were in our own little private space. A great value, and everything you need is right there. (We also enjoyed the recommendations for places nearby to see and dine at - we loved the Ruby Slipper!) We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    Carolyn2017-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Matt's Belfast studio was the perfect "home base" during my husband and I's trip to New Orleans. It's exactly like the pictures - charming, clean, comfortable. Safe and beautiful neighborhood, close to grocery store and streetcar, and only a $10 Uber ride into French Quarter. Was also great to have laundry. Little touches like having some local beer & snacks ready for us and toiletries available were much appreciated! Matt was really responsive via text/email and couldn't have made the process easier. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting New Orleans. Thanks, Matt!

    Amy2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing homey feel. Everything that you have at your own home is there available for use. The room was very spacious and absoutely beautiful. The only thing I would add to the appliances would be a music player or speaker... Who doesn't love music?! Every tourist spot is only about 15 mins away by car. And if you need home supplies or some food there is a convient store within walking distance. Even though Matt lives on the property we only saw him once which was nice. Even better If we needed something he was always available and quick to text back. I wouldn't have seen the trip going so well without this location. I highly recommend it.

    Chanel2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Matt was a wonderful host and the location was perfect for us! Only about a 5-10 min walk to the streetcars that took you right into the heart of the city! The studio was very clean, quaint and a perfect size for us! Would book again in a heartbeat!

This beautiful home is in a perfect location to explore the City of New Orleans. It is a hidden gem within walking distance of Frenchmen Street, the best local cafes, bars and restaurants (L'il Dizzy's, Port of Call, Cafe Du Monde), and only 2 blocks from the French Quarters. The home is perfect for those who want to be near it all yet still have an authentic New Orleans experience that is usually only available to locals.
This is a true New Orleans home...you'll enjoy all of the traditional details, like the fireplace and exposed brick.
This neighborhood is alive. It's energy is quintessential New Orleans. You won't find a bad meal or a weak drink. The locals are always friendly and quick to start a conversation.
  • Place is gorgeous inside. If you're four might want to re-think the sofa bed is a bit uncomfortable.

    Kerin2017-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • This home is gorgeous and spacious for more than 1 person and very clean. It was a very pleasant walk into sites and sounds of New Orleans. We felt very safe walking home late from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street.

    Kara2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Mark was a very gracious host and dealing with him was extremely easy! His place is immaculately clean and exactly as pictured. The distance to the main attraction made us choose his place, but his place is beyond what we had expected!

    Caity2018-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's place was very clean and spacious, and an easy walk to many of New Orleans' most well known areas and attractions. Communication was easy and efficient, even while he was out of town himself. Thanks for the stay!

    Rohan2018-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's place is incredible! Great location and just as big, if not bigger than it looks in the pictures. Super clean and cozy place. He even had some light jazz playing for us upon entry!

    Shane2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful historical spot! Mark's place was really comfortable and just as described. The front porch was a great spot to enjoy the warm December weekend! Thank you to Trudell for delivering our luggage! I will definitely stay here again. Cannot wait!

  • A wonderful place to stay. Just the best!

  • Nice place, well furnished. Location is in less crowded end of bourbon with easy walk to the other side. Great location. Courtyard was nice place to relax. Easy access, both check in and check out. Only issue I had was Wi-Fi never worked, but I honestly didn't pursue it with the host as I didn't come to New Orleans for the Wi-Fi. Would stay at again.

  • Travelling with 6 colleagues to do some touristy stuff prior to a conference in NO we had a great stay in this condo. No busy arrangements to obtain key as this was fixed using a code on the doors that was provided just before arrival. Bathrobes and fresh slippers provided for everybody as well as a small drinkable present waited for us upon arrival. We never used the kitchen as there were great options for eating breakfast nearby. Indeed we liked this area better than around the city center where we moved when our conference started. Overall highly recommended.

  • Great location and beautiful property. Dee dee was very prompt and responsive. We had a toilet malfunction and she sent someone over right away and even followed up with a visit her self. Great experience over all

  • This adorable home looks exactly like the pictures! Me and five of my girlfriends stayed here over the weekend, and it was the perfect amount of space for us to feel comfortable. I love that we had room to have a seat and hang out before we went out for the night. We had a small issue with the sink and shower when we arrived, so I e-mailed the host to let her know. She got back to me within minutes and got everything worked out for us. She even offered to send someone over to help us if we wanted. It was quiet at night and located in the perfect spot. I would definitely stay here again and/or recommend it to any of my friends.

  • This is a great location in NOLA. The apartment is a bit older than it appears in the pictures but overall a good spot which makes it worth it! The location is quiet and holds a lot of people. Overall good stay!

    Daniel2016-10-25T00:00:00Z

The Mazant is a plantation-style home dating back to the early 1880s, located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1-1/2 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We are close to Bacchanal, The Joint, The Country Club, Elizabeth's, and Satsuma Cafe. It's perfect for family reunions, wedding parties, company off-sites, and other large groups.
UPDATE SUMMER 2018: This summer we are making some additional updates to the house, including adding one additional queen bed (upstairs), remodeling three bathrooms, adding a new half bathroom downstairs, and doubling the size of the kitchen. New floor plans are already available online and photos will be updated by the end of September. ----- We have been working to renovate the house over the past several years, seeking to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 125-year old oak tree. At the same time, we updated the layout to more comfortably accommodate large groups: * 18-person dining room table * Oversized living room with 70-inch television, surround sound system, and Baldwin upright piano * Private yard (1/3 acre) with fire pit, six-burner propane BBQ, outdoor table, and hammocks * Super-fast WiFi (the top tier that Cox offers) * Front porch (gallery) with historic gas lamps and outdoor seating * Off-street parking for two cars and ample street parking for overflow The house has eight bedrooms with layout as follows: Downstairs - Bedroom 1: one queen bed (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 2: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower) Upstairs - Bedroom 3: one queen bed (ensuite bathroom - shower/tub combo) - Bedroom 4: one double bed - Bedroom 5: one twin bunkbed - Bedroom 6: one king bed - Bedroom 7: two queen beds (semi-private bathroom - shower) - Bedroom 8: one king bed There is another shared bathroom upstairs (near the laundry room) with a clawfoot tub-shower combination. Unfortunately, the caretaker's cottage is no longer available for rent.
Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • We hosted our wedding of 40 guests at this house, as well as offering a place to stay for 16 of them (including our family of 5). Not only was this the perfect venue for a wedding -- if you can even rent it for a day, it's amazing -- but it was the absolute perfect space for us to host out of town guests who came from all over the country to celebrate. From sitting in the gorgeous, 16' ceiling living room, watching the Cubs game on a giant 70" TV, to sitting around the amazing 30' dining table with friends, drinking and catching up, to hosting a kids' popcorn bar in the foyer, to having our ceremony in the backyard, to giving the kids a place to relax in the upstairs media room (away from the adults), to a chill (gorgeous!) game room for reading and downtime, this house has it all. All of the tables, carts, barware, silverware, utensils we needed were already at the house (we had forgotten cups and thought we might need Solo cups :-/ but this house had so many glasses we didn't need any!). The beds are incredibly comfortable. The full size laundry is great for doing a quick load of towels. The stairwell is insanely beautiful. The bathrooms are gorgeous. Did I mention the decor of this house is insane? The fountain in the backyard, the lit patio in the backyard, the orange trees, the fire pit... all incredible. We also spent a lot of time on the balcony, either watching the sunrise or watching the rain. The house is in the Bywater -- our favorite neighborhood of New Orleans -- with its artsy vibe and dive bars. There is an amazing BBQ place just two blocks away which I swear has the best ribs in the country. It is about an 8-10 minute ride by Uber/Lyft to Frenchmen Street and 10-12 minutes to the Quarter. We and our friends instantly committed to coming back in the future for a weekend, just so we can be in the house again.

  • Jeff's place is in the heart of the Bywater and 9th Ward. Everything I expected and more. We had eight guys and everyone had plenty of personal space. The neighborhood is fantastic and as advertised if you are looking for authentic New Orelans without the aggravation of the Quarter this is a great place!

  • Whatever you read in the description or view on the pictures is only a preview of how wonderful this house really is. Do yourself a favor and book it now while it's available! This place is like a gorgeous palace with so much space and beautiful decor! It fit our party of 16 perfectly. Jeff and Kevin were wonderful with checking in, offering suggestions for places to visit nearby and even greeted us with a special note and welcoming treat in the house upon our arrival. The outside yard was our favorite hangout space whether it was having coffee on the balcony, sharing laughs in the backyard, napping in the hammock or taking pictures in the courtyard, everything was beautifully done and accessible. Each room is beautifully decorated and pays close attention to detail. Even the mattresses and shower heads were wonderful! We cannot wait to go back! Thanks Jeff for making our family trip feel so comfortable and memorable!

  • The place was awesome. It accommodated our party perfectly. The host was super nice, answered all our questions and even called to check and make sure that everything was going great!

  • Very spacious updated condo a few blocks to bourban street. It sleeps five comfortably.

    ronda2017-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Good room. But you need to spend extra money for parking in downtown which is understandable but inconvenient. All in all it is a good house to stay and spent time in.

  • Location is perfect, and this place is absolutely stunning and true NOLA Gem, will definitely be back

    Danielle2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This unit is wonderful. It is tastefully decorated and in a sensational building. We had everything we needed for our stay. We were only a 15 minute walk from Frenchmen St and there was a huge selection of restaurants close by. If you are in NOLA you can't go wrong with staying in this beautiful apartment.

    Andrew2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • 4 guys (late 20s/early 30s) stayed for 3 nights and we were all pleasantly surprised at how spacious the place was. Bigger than I anticipated after the photos, very nice and clean, plenty of amenities were provided as well as a small welcome package that started our trip off nicely. Short walk to basically everywhere we wanted to go from Canal St to Bourbon St and a short Lyft/Uber ride to Frenchmen St. and other great areas. We were unsure of the surrounding area at first, but the building is very secure and quiet and the A/C kept us cool and relaxed throughout the humid July nights (90+ degrees constantly!). I will most definitely be looking for this listing again the next time I travel to NOLA with a small group or family!

  • We had a fantastic experience at Nola's. The flat is well located, wonderfully decorated and confortable. Belinda is an amazing host: kind, attentive to details, and helpful in terms of planning. She clearly cares about her guests having a nice experience in New Orleans. When we come back, we will definitely stay at Nola's.

    Sebastien2012-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, wonderful hostess! Belinda thought of everything we might not have and had it for us! We will definately stay at her place when we return to NOLA. Her suggestions for the French Quarter were right on. We highly recommend her place if you want a nice, clean. beautifully decorated apartment when in NO.

    Chris2012-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Whitney is very nice. We've been welcomed by his friend Brian, a nice guy. The house is clean and really cozy, close to everything, easy to reach the French Quarter and other parts of the city. I've felt like being at my home. It's been a pity to stay there only 2 nights.

    Ilaria2013-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at the studio was great! It is located near the French Quarter a quick walk to the action but far enough to get a good night's rest. The apartment was clean and homey. Whitney provided specific directions before arrival on how to get in the studio. All went smoothly and can't wait to be back in NOLA!

    Becky2014-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place. The studio was nice, and it's part of a series of rooms in a courtyard and fence, which provided a nice sense of privacy and calm from the city. Well located for jazz music and exploring the city. It's well built and well maintained. I'd come here again.

    Liz2015-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at Nola's. Whitney and Tomas were perfect hosts - friendly, accommodating, and communicative. The rental was walkable to everywhere we wanted to go, which made getting around super convenient. We will be back!

    Brett2015-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I recently stayed in one of Whitney's apartments, Nola"s Studio, for two nights on our return trip from a national ACF chef's convention in Orlando. We enjoyed the decor and Whitney was kind enough to set the air conditioning to a pleasant 68 (we are from the Pacific Northwest and are not used to the 90+ summer heat and high humidity). The studio location in Treme was convenient to the French Quarter and many of the historic sites we visited during our stay. Our first trip to New Orleans was made more enjoyable by this studio apt.

And will continue to do so quarterly . If you see this listing available I urge you to book it quickly .. Lest I snatch it right out from under you :) I miss you too Rob an I promise to be back before the first magnolia blooms . Love you oodles Jenny

  • Robert (and his housekeeper Ernie) were completely superb hosts. They were attentive, helpful and kind but never invaded my privacy. This is a beautiful little house and gives you the real NO experience. The area of Bywater is much preferable to the French Quarter and I would most definitely stay here again. It is quiet, and funky and I had trouble straying farther than 10 yards away due to the great restaurants/bars/artists studios/shops nearby. I felt safe in this neighborhood (and traveling alone as a woman that is a real plus). It is a short taxi ride ($6) to Frenchmen St where the best jazz in NO is concentrated in one block. I went there each night of my stay and saw some world class - and impromptu street - acts.

    Wendy2012-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Charming place, great NOLA hospitality. - Spotlessly clean, well-decorated and with fine touches such as the spa tub and the ice-making machine, the welcome bottle of wine and cheeses, the big supply of snacks, the flowers, the graciously helpful Ernie, the local history yarn-spinning Rob. - .In a hip, gentrifying neighborhood with atmospheric coffee joints, restaurants and bars. - A very short walk to several bus stops. Fares are reasonable fares ($3 for an all-day pass, 40 cents one way for seniors) and run frequently to Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, which also are only a half-hour or so walk from the house. - Dining, we really liked the chargrilled oysters at Felix's and the beignets at Cafe du Monde - We took the hop-on, hop-off bus as sort of our history tour of the city and had a witty and informative guide on the bus. It was good. - So ... a delightful stay at Rob's place and a fine ol' time in a fun and unique city. .

  • We could not have asked for a better experience on our trip to New Orleans. Robert's Maison Rouge is absolutely gorgeous and has EVERYTHING you might need for your stay! The bed is to die for comfortable, it's clean and spacious and we really felt like we were living in authentic New Orleans. Robert's housekeeper Ernie took amazing care of us throughout our week stay, he was so sweet and so helpful! I highly recommend staying with here. The Bywater is a fascinating part of New Orleans and was only a short bus ride to the French Quarter. When we come back to New Orleans, we will definitely be staying here!!

    Jennifer2014-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • A friend and I visited New Orleans for the 4th of July Essence Weekend. We stayed at Leslie's house. I must say...the accommodations were outstanding. Leslie did not miss a thing when it came to accommodations. Anything that we thought that we need was in the house. Comfy beds. Leslie mentioned that he has been in Hotel and hospitality for over two decades. It was very apparent. The location is great. Quiet neighborhood. Not too close but close enough. There is a Mom's/Pops fish joint on the corner...delicious. I would recommend this gorgeous little house to anyone visiting N.O. I would definitely stay again.

    Synetta2016-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot tell you how absolute amazing this home is! It is only shadowed by the hospitality of Robert, Ernie & Shane! They brought the home, NOLA and Louisiana to life for us! I would never stay anywhere else. I had the luxury of coming home to my own 1800 French antique decorated authentic shotgun home and soaking in the amazing bath every night after walking, eating , shopping and dancing my heart in downtown! I have to tell you also the surrounding block house's several 5 star gems to come home to! Once I found suis generis around the corner, I ate there every night! Nightly 5-star sell-out food! After dinning and drinking fine champagnes one block from the house, on the one block walk home, after 9ish, this wonderful corner 5-star lounge opens in candlelight! So does the art gallery across the street, and you can even catch a yoga class on the other corner. My stay at Louisa house was nothing short of amazing! Plenty of parking, (although I DID NOT need my car) Great taxi drivers, and a short $9 cab ride to downtown! How do you beat all that, but to do it again! Thank you Robert and family! -Evemarie

    Eve2014-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful experience. I would definitely stay there again!

    Samantha2015-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed at quite a few AirBnB places and I have to say the stay with Robert was unbelievable! He puts so much into the experience that it makes the stay far superior than a hotel. Robert quickly responded to my emails before our trip and Ernie, the housekeeper, was available during our stay. The house has snacks, a ton of bottled water, white wine, red wine - and it was replenished daily. The sheets were changed everyday and Ernie even does your laundry! They were also super helpful in terms of what to do and restaurants to go to. There are a ton of brochures on the coffee table including an extensive restaurant guide. Ernie is also very knowledgable about public transportation and walking routes to the French Quarter. And the whirlpool tub!! It was great to be able to soak in the tub after walking about all day. There is also shampoo, toothbrushes, razors - anything you could need is in the house. It was a perfect vacation!

  • Had a wonderful time at the House of Sweet Dreams. Awesome location with a truly authentic Nawlins feel. Our accommodations were cozy and cute. Definitely looking forward to our next NOLA adventure. Thanks to Andrew for providing such a wonderful space.

  • Coco and Andrew have an awesome place that's clean, comfortable and full of character. Using the bikes they provide, it's a comfortable 10min ride to the quarter, they bywater or central business district. The location is also very quiet and safe! If there is space available I'll be staying with Coco and Andrew the next time I'm in Crescent City.

    Jay 2013-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and it was excellent! The room was exactly as advertised, and the suggestions in the provided guidebook were on point. It's hot up in the loft, but if you're coming home late at night it's cooled off by then and there are fans and the AC works well. The cafe around the corner was great, and I especially loved the access to the bikes. It was my first trip to NOLA and I was pleased that the city was so bike friendly. If you plan on getting around at night on the bikes, bring a bike light as the free bikes don't have them. But hey, they're free and they got me all around town just fine. Use the bikes and go explore! I didn't meet Andrew, but Alicia who was taking care of the property was kind and helpful on the phone. Thanks for the great experience!

  • Clean ... Helpful with local tips ... Would highly recommend

    Cody2016-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew was gone, but Amanda was there and she was nice. Andrew did leave a pamphlet that gave a lot of great recommendations on what's good around new orleans and not just touristy stuff. I got a great feel for New Orleans and simply his recommendations were sufficient and helped me get to know different areas.

    Theodore2014-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. the use of a bicycle was the selling point here. Without the bike I have no idea how i would have seen so much or have had so much fun. NOLA is very flat, so biking is the ideal way of getting around. Also, this house is in a great location, a simple 5 min cycle to the french quarter. This house is in a suburb, so it allows you to experience the actual NOLA, which is amazing. All the locals in the suburb are so very friendly. Comfy and clean bed, spacious room, aircon... perfect. They have all the facilities you need. Then there is the zine, Coco and Andrew's guide to NOLA. The best! It made my trip. Helped me to find the coolest coffee shops and restaurants I would not have found otherwise. There is also a map in there which really helped, as I did not have one (Website hidden by Airbnb)

  • We enjoyed the ride! 🚲 The location was ideal, & the art work throughout the hotel was very cool. The steam room was such a treat. You should totally stay here.

    Jordan2018-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • We were unable to stay here due to NOLA having a law about how many people can stay in certain houses. Although this place says two people it shows pictures of three beds and looks like it can fit anywhere from 1-6 people in it. Do not make the same mistake we did and book this thinking it can fit more than two people. Brent did refund me some of my money but I wish I would have known the occupancy rule beforehand.

    Ashley2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Brent's place is a great stay for a couple. It would be a little crowded if more than two people stayed there. It is a studio with cool partitions. It is an amazing value. Even though the apartment is downtown, it was still very quiet. The location to public transportation is super convenient. The bus to the airport is directly across the street ($2) It is five minute walk to Canal St and a 8-10 min walk to Bourbon ST. I would definitely stay here again!

This free standing casita, tucked away in a tropical garden, includes a small refrigerator with refreshments, jazz records, New Orleans literature, and a clawfoot tub. Off of Esplanade Avenue, it is halfway between the French Quarter and City Park.
The casita is located in the backyard of a side-gallery shotgun cottage. I have been renting it through Airbnb for two years but recently changed to my on profile. The main house was built as part of a series of shotguns developed by two brother from Cienfuegos, Cuba in the early 1860s. The casita is its own building, built in a modern design in 2010. You can come and go as you please through our lush side garden. Inside, there is a very comfortable queen sized bed and bathroom with a clawfoot tub. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer and there is a small refrigerator and kettle. We include some local snacks as part of your stay. We also have a record player with music from New Orleans and books from the region and my own nonprofit publishing organization, the Neighborhood Story Project, for you to enjoy while you are here.
This old Creole neighborhood, in the heart of downtown New Orleans, is in between the French Quarter and City Park. Just a block and a half off Esplanade Avenue, a beautiful boulevard canopied in live oak trees, it is also very close to Bayou Road, the first road in New Orleans! From the house, you can walk to this street, where there is a wonderful collection of shops, including the Pagoda Cafe with the best coffee in town and wonderful breakfast and lunch (located in an old Chinese laundry building), the King and Queen's Emporium (which sells handmade soaps in one of the city's first public market buildings), the CocoHut (New Orleans/Jamaican food), and Domino Sounds Record Shop, which has been featured in national publications as one of the best record stores in the country.
  • Perfect place to stay while in New Orleans whether you're traveling solo or with a friend/partner. We loved our time here and would absolutely stay at Rachel's casita again!

    Elaina2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesome spot for a trip to New Orleans. Less than a 5 minute drive to the French Quarter, and a great home base for exploring what the city has to offer. I highly recommend.

  • Easy check-in/out! Good space for two people. Little fridge and hot pot provided if you bring some snacks for yourself! Fun place to stay that’s pretty close to bourbon street. It’s also very close to the bike rental location if you don’t want to pay for parking.

    Cody2018-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to be close to the French Quarter, but far enough out for a nice walk and an escape. The record player was an amazing touch.

    Ean2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such a perfect place! Neat and tidy, and just enough space for 2 people. We truly enjoyed staying just outside of the craziness of the downtown area. We couldn't have asked for a better host or a private home away from home. The courtyard you walk through to get to the space is magical and really gives you a taste of the environment surrounding NOLA. We would definitely stay here again.

    Brittney2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel's place was a beautiful hideaway in a city that doesn't sleep. We loved having our own private space, everyone that we met along the way was so helpful and kind and NOLA is now a favorite city. Rachel's place is about a mile from the french quarter, and it's a safe quick walk through Treme to get there (which we did often) ubers are about 7$ to the quarter and its about 2 miles from the streetcar. Overall we had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend it!

    Erika2017-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel's, space was better than expected - it had everything and more! Her communication was fantastic and it helped make locating, checking-in, and getting settled so easy. The space is bright, airy, clean, and secluded. I felt very safe walking around, and the location made it simple to walk into the heart of the quarter - just follow esplanade all the way down. I Ubered back in the evenings and it cost between $6-$7. I highly recommend her place and would certainly stay there again!

Stains in claw-foot bathtub that won't come out. Clean but very old with many stains. Vintage, rustic, shabby chic.
Residential neighborhood 70% black, 30% white if that makes you feel uncomfortable, don't come to New Orleans or don't leave your hotel. Usually quiet but just a short walk or cab ride to Frenchmen Street, French Quarter etc...
  • Great stay in New Orleans. Very good price for a studio. Rustic but not lacking in the basics. Definitely recommend staying if you're looking for a budget friendly place in a central location. We rented bikes on Frenchman street and it was perfect to get all around the city! Also the bed was a bit higher up than expected. If you're afraid of heights, might not be the best sleeping situation for you.

  • Overgrown sketchy place, no pride of ownership here. Don’t stay here it’s not close enough to walk to Frenchmen’s street at night like she says.. nope nope nope

  • Location great! And reasonably priced!

    Maegan2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • The place is nice enough for the price. The direct neighborhood is not that great but ok - not knowing it I didn't try my luck walking home late at night, it's probably ok but wouldn't be very reassuring. However, it's really not far from the best neighborhoods - French quarter etc - which is good. The door to the garden and the padlock with the keys were both not closed when I arrived, which is not great for safety but I assume it's more the previous guests' fault than Isobel. Internet is very slow. Overall the place is ok and decent value but I don't share the enthusiasm of some other reviewers - it's not fantastic.

    Cyril2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Location is good for walking to French quarter and local bars. To be honest I think the facility needs quite a lot of work to meet expectations. The immediate outside area could be turned into a real asset with some tidying up. A few too many raw edges in the facilities to really pass muster. I realise it is a work in progress but I don't think this was totally clear in the information

    Michael2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything went perfectly. I got in late and she made sure I knew how to get in. The space was lovely. Would definitely come again. Although fair warning bed is lofted and if you're drunk it might be intimidating.

    Drew2016-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was super close to French Quarter. Very unique in decoration which I loved. Had an old feel to it. The loft bed was very comfortable. Isobel was great and very helpful. Would highly recommend!

    Michelle2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Safety at night is an issue and there are others living in the space by your entrance. Great price and cool artsy Nola vibe

  • Great place close to multiple New Orleans hot spots.

    Melanie2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is an ideal place for people who want to explore downtown New Orleans. As opposed to staying in the posh hotel district (which is overpriced, non-authentic), it was nice to stay in this larger space that was minutes to everything. It's a 20 min walk to Jackson Square, and a 5 min walk from the cemetery. Tons of supplies in the Airbnb, everything I needed - thanks so much!

    Alex2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great spot because it was quiet and still close to all the action. Uber’s were great to get around. Don’t rent a car. Place was perfect for 2 people. Brent was very prompt in answering my questions. Gave great suggestions.

  • Not a high-end place in my opinion. I would have been better off at a hotel.

    Karen2018-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, Great location and room was cosy . I did not have much contact with Brent but was no need too as everything was taken care of. I did contact Brent beforehand , he responded very quickly. Would stay again ! Thanks Brent enjoyed my stay in NOLA!

    Jason2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Brent was very attentive and nice. The place is literally in walking distance of everything. The apartment was very clean and the building was overall quiet. Totally recommend to stay if you're planning a trip to Nola ! And make sure you go to all the restaurants Brent suggests. They were unbelievable !

Our newly renovated apartment is right in the middle of town, within walking distance of Magazine St. and just on the edge of the Garden District. Plus, it's just 3 blocks from the streetcar and St. Charles Ave.
Please be our guest in the newly renovated apartment situated at the back of our really old (1850s), charmingly-dilapidated house. It’s just a couple blocks from the parade route/street car/St. Charles, and only about a mile from the Superdome. They don’t call it Central City for nothing! Walk past the main house, down a winding brick pathway, and up the stairs to the private entrance. You enter into the kitchen, with concrete countertops, old wood floors, and plenty of sunlight pouring through the original wood windows with old bubbly glass. Fix yourself a drink and head up the spiral stairs to the bedroom. Just around the iron handrail is a full size bed, and plenty of reading material about the places you’ll want to see and the food you’ll want to eat while you’re here. Then venture out the bedroom door onto the balcony. Did I mention you’re on the third floor now? The view is excellent, the palm trees sway in the wind, and you can hear the marching bands as they pass down the parade route. I almost forgot the bathroom. Honestly, it’s not huge. But it’s everything you need, plus a claw foot tub. And cozy towels, and bubble bath, and . . . well, it’s a bathroom. And just in case you’re wondering, it also has a flat-screen tv, cable, internet, a microwave, a coffee maker, all the things you need in a kitchen, and probably some welcoming Abita beers in the fridge.
Central City is the Best! We're right in the middle of everything. . . and I don't mean right in the middle of the French Quarter, I mean in the middle of a less touristy, little bit quieter New Orleans. We're just on the edge of the Garden District, a short walk from Magazine St, and just 3 blocks form the streetcar line. Plus, we're only one block from the super hip, up and coming Oretha Castle Haley Blvd where you'll find the best coffee, the indiest movies, a few restaurants, the new Food and Beverage Museum, and a tatoo parlor in case you're in the market. So come check out my neighborhood, you'll love it like I do!
  • A great refurbished apartment, split level with the kitchen and bathroom on one floor & the bedroom & terrace upstairs. The bedroom is accessed via a narrow winding staircase. We found if easier to leave our suitcases downstairs. The apartment has loads of character and the hens in the garden below added to the atmosphere. It is a short walk to the bus or the streetcar (the line was being worked on when we were there). Jackson is currently working on restoring the rest of the house, which I'm sure will be marvellous when finished. There was no disturbance from this work, although the air conditioning unit did take some getting used to. Jackson was really lovely & we had a wonderful stay & left with a bucket load full of fabulous memories. I should mention that depending on your mobility or how many hurricanes cocktails you consume you at find the bathroom down the spiral staircase a bit tricky. Well worth a visit if you want to experience the real New Orleans.

    Karen2014-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really cool, nicely renovated space with a wonderful balcony. We had everything we needed for our weekend stay.

    Greg2014-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • The location was amazing! Jackson was very helpful with getting the keys to the apartment to me. She kept in touch with me the day I was traveling in to make sure I found the location before she went out of town herself. I had some trouble with the streets, since most of them are one way, but i found the apartment exactly like the post. The apartment was absolutely beautiful and the location was amazing. It was just about a mile from downtown and not that long of a walk if you're up for it. The spiral staircase was one of my favorite things about the apartment. It gave the space so much character. Also the balcony was a very nice touch and a wonderful place to sit, when you're trying to wind down. I will most definitely be staying here again! It was an absolute treat.

  • We had a wonderful time in New Orleans. The apartment was very nice.

    Sean2015-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the design of the place very open and full of light. Clean and felt welcoming right away. It is off the beaten path so it's quiet and comforting, but still close enough that with waking, a trolley or an uber, you can get to any cool part of the city within minutes. Kitchen had everything needed to make a great breakfast and a beautiful balcony off the upstairs bedroom to enjoy it on. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if ever returning. Thank you Jackson.

  • Casa aconchegante e charmosa. Claramente foi reformada recentemente e é bem confortável. Aquecimento, fechadura, chuveiro, tudo funciona perfeitamente.

Semi-private room* in a cute and cozy shotgun house in the Marigny. 15 minute walk to the French Quarter, 12 minutes to Frenchmen St., 2 minutes to the Bywater. Located around the corner from a few restaurants, bars, a coffee shop, and grocery store. *Note, this room is yours and yours alone, but people have to walk through it to get to their room.
The house is a classic shotgun, a very common style of architecture for homes here in New Orleans. Our bedroom is the first room in the house, and we rent the next three rooms to guests (see our profile for links to the other rooms). Each room is arranged one behind the other. You will be walking through two bedrooms to get to your room, and while you'll have your room to yourself, people will have to walk past your room to access the kitchen, other bedrooms, backyard, and bathroom. Both doorways have doors which you can close for more privacy. Please look through our photos to see the "blueprints" of our house, this will give you an idea to how it's laid out. Your room is the third room in the house. It comes furnished with a built in bed, curtain for privacy, XL twin mattress, reading lamp, a chair, vanity with a large mirror, clean sheets, fresh blankets, four pillows, a towel, and a white noise machine to cancel out house noises. The room accommodates one comfortably.
Our location is probably our greatest feature. Our house is centrally located in the Marigny. Frenchmen St. jazz and music clubs are only six blocks away, the French Quarter is a ten minute, nine-block walk away in one direction, and the Bywater (neighborhood) is just over the train tracks, two blocks in the other direction. We are one block from Mardi Gras Zone, a 24 hour organic grocery store (now with an alcohol license!), and three blocks from Hank's, a 24 hour convenience store (where you can stock up on alcohol and fried chicken). Flora's Coffee shop is two blocks away. There are eight bars (ranging from fancy cocktail bars to dive bars) within a three block radius.
  • Katie and Matthijs were super welcoming, they had great suggestions of places to visit, eat, and drink. The bed was recently renovated for added privacy and their home was very clean. The location is great, walking distance to all places you could want to visit. It's everything I wanted from an airbnb and I would recommend!

    Alicia2015-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beyond my expectations, stunning architecture, well thought out design. Katie and Matthijis are easy going, hospitable hosts. Great area, can meet other cool people staying at their place. Highly recommend. Thank you

    Shana2015-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Katie and Matthijs are amazing! The picture of the room is outdated because they added a board and curtains to make it more private. The dogs are also adorable. They had their friends over so I had a chance to meet amazing people. Katie is an artist and Matthijis is a musician and I get to meet a lot of cool talented people because of them. I came here on a solo trip and they made me feel welcomed. It's only about 10 minutes away walk from Frenchmen street. One thing I have to add about the neighborhood though is that it feels kinda unsafe at night. While walking to Frenchmen street, I had guys come up to me and say harassing things. If you're traveling alone, I would recommend you uber to places.

    Oranicha2015-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • The room is under renovation but very cozy. At night it could get a bit chilly, but Katie provided me with a portable heater and extra blankets. I only stayed there for one night and didn't interact much with Katie & Matthijs, but they were very laid back and gave me good tips about the neighborhood.

    Ellie2014-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • I only stayed one night, and was out most of the time, but the host was very friendly and helpful and the bed was comfy! The location is walkable to great restaurants, cafes, and shops in the marigny, bywater, Frenchmen st, and quarter!

    Cristina2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay with Katie & Matthijs. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the place has a nice atmosphere at a great location. Highly recommended!

Your room is the fourth room in the house, next to the kitchen. It comes furnished with a full size bed, bright lamp for reading, Christmas lights, fresh sheets, clean blankets, pillows, and towels - and it's on a loft! To get up to the bed you will need to climb a ladder up 7 feet to the loft. The height in the loft is around 4 1/2 feet, meaning most people won’t be able to stand, but it’s still fairly easy to get around in for any able-bodied person. Below the loft is a hangout room, where you are more than welcome to hangout and stretch your legs all you want.

  • Really great and cute place in a really cool neighborhood!! Walking distance through a beautiful neighborhood to Frenchman street which was really fun, and to French quarter/bourbon street. Katie and Matthijs were both so nice and helpful and made us lists of places to go and eat, which were amazing! Would definitely stay here again.

    Raven2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • The location was convenient just in the French Quarter. We didn't meet to Katie and Matthijs, but his friend was a wonderful hoster. He was very friendly and helpful giving us many advices. This is a good place if you are in a budget and you don't mind to spend some days without privacy cause there are not proper walls or doors in the rooms. You have to pass through the other people's room even for going to the toilet. We met many friendly people there ;)

    Jose Luis2016-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Katie is a fantastic host! When I needed to change my check-in time, she was very accommodating. I really appreciate how quickly she responds to any questions I had. There were always plenty of people in the house and it felt really safe.

  • Everything was really great! They had a friend over to host me, and the amenities were pretty great.

  • This house was a wonderful find in New Orleans; it is on a good neighbourhood and within walking distance of the French Quarter. Both the features of the house and the affordable loft room were accurately described in the listing. I didn't get to meet Katie or Matthijs during my stay but Katie was very quick at responding to my messages and any questions I had. Katie and Matthijs also provided a very detailed list of restaurants and bars to try out while staying in New Orleans. I would definitely stay here again if I am back in New Orleans.

    Stephen2015-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Mike was a great experience! The room is as described, clean, comfortable and I had a fantastic time in NOLA while staying here. A few things to note: it is very close to Frenchmen street (which is so much better than bars in the French Quarter). You can walk back (10 mins?) or Uber if you want to be cautious. The room is loft style, so you do have to climb a ladder to get to it. It was completely easy for me but if you have joint issues, FYI.

Visit our 100-year-old warehouse loft! We are one block from the Canal Streetcar in a true NOLA neighborhood. 2 Blocks to Whole Foods & Lafitte Greenway bike path. Near French Quarter, Mardi Grad Parade Routes and Fairgrounds.
Location, location location! We are close to everything! We lived uptown for many years and just moved. We love it here and can walk to everything. There is free, ample street parking right in front of the property.
  • Keely was amazing! She was so hospitable and communicative, and really made our trip memorable. She even left us anniversary flowers <3

    Marissa2018-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome host. The green room, being on the lower level, was a bit noisy as there isn't any insulation between levels. Other than that, great experience! Host/hostess were great! Offered recommendations for us for a place to eat.

    Johnathan2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! It was not the best neighborhood, we were told by multiple uber/lyft drivers to not walk the area(which was fine since we got picked up and dropped off at the door every time), but the place overall was lovely and was a quick uber/lyft ride to everything we had planned to see. We never took the Street Car but the stop was just around the corner. There was a little kitchen-like area in the shared living room with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. My boyfriend loved the guitar in the living room and when we got into the green room we felt incredibly welcomed with a little care package that I had to take a picture of :). Also, there were already bathroom supplies ready to use if needed which was a plus. They were overall welcoming and made us feel more comfortable than a standard overpriced hotel. If we were ever to come back to New Orleans we would love to stay in The Green Room again P.s. There was plenty of street parking for our car while we stayed. We parked right in front of the place.

    Cameron2016-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Space was as advertised! Clean, comfortable, unique and close to everything. We had fun getting to know the great neighborhoods nearby. We spent time in the French Quarter, Treme, Marigny and the Bywater which are all super close to the Air B n B! We had an easy time finding parking in front of the space and the neighbors were friendly. If you are spending time Uptown the Streetcar is nearby and driving through town up St. Charles or Magazine is a fun and picturesque 20 minutes. I highly recommend The Green Room.

  • This place is amazing! Such a dope spot and find! Awesome thing is that if you're up for a good walk you're no more than 15-20 minutes from the French Quarter and so much more!

  • The host was great with communication and local tips. The location was a short Uber ride to most places we wanted to go. The room is very comfortable and stylish, with easy street parking.

  • This is a very cool place. The location is great, just 1 block from the streetcar and walking distance from the French Quarter and Jazz Fest with a Whole Foods market 3 blocks away. The host has excellent recommendations for neighborhood restaurants.

  • The green room was a pleasant place to sleep. Parking out front, easy access to the Trolley.

Our cool and comfortable studio apartment is the perfect little hideaway to retreat to after enjoying this beautiful city. It comfortably fits two and is located in the beautiful Oak lined neighborhood of Carrolton. Just one block from the Carrolton/St.Charles Streetcar line and walking distance to many restaurants/bars.
You have private access to a bottom floor studio apartment. You will have full private access to the whole studio and come and go as you please.
My studio is nestled on the bottom floor of my two story house and I currently occupy the upstairs so I will be available for anything you may need. Located in the beautiful neighborhood of Carrolton, it's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD and French Quarter, but one block from the Carrolton/St Charles Street car line (20 minute ride on the streetcar to downtown or Napoleon Avenue where all the uptown Mardi Gras parades start). Oak street is a 4 block walk from the apartment where there are a lot of local restaurants and bars including the famous Maple Leaf bar and Jacques-Imo's Creole Restaurant. Just a few more blocks down is the famous diner Camellia Grill and the streetcar can take you directly Downtown/French Quarter and the shopping on Magazine street.
  • Great place to stay!

  • I didn’t know what to expect when we arrived to the home but I was taken away from the moment I walked in. Everything was just like the picture, looks like a lot of work was put in to get the look. The guesthouse had everything we needed with just the right amount of space. I also appreciated the tips for tours and restaurants. I recommend this spot!

  • The host was super nice and gave us our space, while also letting us know that if we needed anything she was there. The place was very cute, and myself and my friends were very pleased with the cleanliness of the place. The only complaint I have is that the studio home gets a little stuffy. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. It’s affordable and definitely worth the price!

One bedroom, ground level apartment in quiet City Park Triangle. Walk to City Park, Jazz Fest, and street car to French Quarter. Fenced yard with gazebo and fire pit. Short walk to coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping.
City Park Triangle is a quiet and safe neighborhood. It is very well located to provide easy access (1/2 block) to City Park (Art Museum, Botanical Gardens, Morning Call) and just 0.4 miles to N. Carrolton Ave to restaurants, shopping and a stop for the Canal St. streetcar line to the French Quarter, Convention Center, WWII Museum and much, much more.
  • A clean and well equipped space with everything you’ll need for a good stay in New Orleans.

  • Joan's place was awesome, clean, quiet, and in a great neighborhood. Just a short walk to the street car, and right across the street from City Park.

    Mike2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Joan’s place was such a treat to stay at. Getting to her place off of IH-10 was so easy and being able to hop on the street car and take it straight to the fun was great. Joan was awesome as a host, stopping by as soon as we got in to explain everything and offer any help that we may need. She gave us the weekly newspaper with current events that we may want to see and recommended other attractions. The house is a bit away from the main attractions of NOLA but it was a 10 minute walk to the streetcar that takes you right down Canal St where you can hop on any other form of transportation that you want. Overall Joan’a place was a great stay. She was in the process of getting her back porch done and so we were unable to use the backyard but the workers were quiet and courteous as they worked and we never had an issue. I would stay here again!

  • Hollis was the perfect host! I'd never used Airbnb before so I was a little nervous. He immediately welcomed us and showed us around the house. It was beautiful! Everything was clean and smelled nice. He really made us feel at home. Very affordable too. If ever I need a place in New Orleans I know exactly where I'm staying.

    Megan2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend at Hollis' place. As others have said, it is better to use Uber or public transit to get to and from the house--however our Uber rides to the French Quarter were $6 and less--very convenient and cheap. Hollis was very welcoming. We arrived early and he accommodated us with grace. His house is exquisitely decorated and everything was super clean. We didn't take advantage of Hollis' local knowledge as we could have, but from the few exchanges we did have he seems to be a wealth of information. The bedroom is a fairly small room with a queen bed, TV, and ceiling fan. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was, again, well decorated. The only thing I would mention to future visitors is the bathroom situation--there is only one bathroom available in the house, and when all 3 rooms are occupied, there could be as many as 6 people vying for that bathroom. It was not a huge problem but was a little inconvenient in the morning. Thank you Hollis--if we come back to New Orleans we will come stay with you again!

    Stephanos2016-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Place was very decorated and had some history

    Dustin2017-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to stay. After reading the reviews I jumped on it, and I was glad I did. Immaculate, comfortable, off street parking, close to everything, what more could you want? Came in late, left early, everything was great, my only regret was I didn't have time to meet Hollis, we chatted on the phone...next time for sure!

    Stephen2017-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Hollis was a great host. He made him self available and offered great advice on things to do throughout the city. The house was very clean and the room was great. The house was only 5-10 minutes from the French quarter which was a $5-$8 lyft ride. It was a great and convenient location. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone looking to experience New Orleans.

    Victoria2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Hollis made sure to have a flow of communication from the time I arrived to the time I departed from the airport. Great guy! The place was BEAUTIFUL! Even with a misunderstanding on our end, he made sure he did everything he could to make my stay better! Would definitely stay there again!

    Luz2016-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot, just far enough out of the French quarter area but still only a quick uber ride. Really a nice and comfortable home with everything you need. If Hollis gives you a suggestion on where to eat/go he is probably right, he definitely knows the city.

Great, 2 large room suite with king bed, new jacuzzi (someone broke the jacuzzi part) bath and all the amenities you need. There's a mini fridge (for all your great local leftovers), microwave, coffee maker, tea pot, brita water and cable/wifi.
2 large private rooms (parlor and bedroom) and full bath in a great location, with cafe & coffee shops nearby. The bedroom has a king size bed and the parlor room has a twin bed, if you need more sleep areas. I also have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The space has your own private locked entrance and is just off my front porch, which is a great spot to have your morning coffee or tea. Easy off-street parking, too. I have 2 bikes (huffy’s) you can use at your own risk, but you need to let me know before I leave for work so I can get them out for you. You are responsible for damage or theft and I req a $10/bike use fee to cover maintenance, bc it req extra work to tend to bikes. There are neighborhood rentals, but I think they are 30-40/day. Also, if traveling w pet need to approve with me and there is a $20 fee for pets. If you are a solo guest or staying longer than 6 days I will give you a break on price!o
The marigny is the greatest neighborhood and this space is all yours--its your own oasis in the front of my house w own entry. Easy and close (usually just in front of house) street parking. You can walk to the French quarter, frenchmen st., or just enjoy all the marigny has to offer. I have cable, wi-fi, central ac & am willing to consider pets. Note: I have 2 dogs & 2 cats that are very friendly, but they stay in my living space. This is a great place to stay for an authentic new Orleans experience in one of usa's best neighborhoods (look it up, it's true).
  • We absolutely loved Kerrie's place! It is a short walk to the French Quarter and even closer to Frenchman Street, where we spent most of our nights. It was great to stay in an authentic home which made us feel more like locals and less like tourists. We will definitely stay there again the next time we visit!

    Brittany2015-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great house, very close to Frenchmen and downtown. I definitely recommend this place!

    David2015-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kerrie was a great hostess, having everything ready/clean for our arrival and offering great tips for traveling to/from the airport, around town, dining entertainment. The apartment was attractive/homey. Location was superb for our need to be close to Fenchmens St and all the jazz/restaurants. Very hip neighborhood.

    Randall2015-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! Great location that's convenient to the French Quarter. Very comfortable space and Kerrie has great attention to detail. Fortunate to meet Kerrie and her pooches Stella and Dottie! Thanks for the warm reception. All in all we'd stay in this Marigny oasis again. We really enjoyed close proximity to a great neighborhood breakfast cafe - the Now Orleans Cafe and Bakery.

    Gary2016-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, beautiful apartment, and a helpful and responsive host. Would definitely come back.

    Ben2013-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Pros: This was the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Beautiful home with woods floors, high ceilings, king sized bed Great neighborhood with cake cafe at end of block- great for breakfast Quiet neighborhood Easy checkin - key is in lock box waiting for you We had two people, but would be very comfortable for more. There are two rooms, so would be private for more guests. Cons: You can't control the temperature. Because this is connected to her home, she has temp controls. It was 'winter' while we were there - about 55 outside. It felt like the heat coming out of the vent over the bed was at least 85 degrees. So hot. We opened Windows and turned on all fans, but even then it was uncomfortable to sleep like that. She offered to try to close the vents, but with twelve foot ceilings it seemed like a hassle. I'd imagine this is only a problem for about two weeks out of the year here! The coffee pot is very confusing -not a typical machine. Unfortunately the person before us flooded it with water, so we couldn't use it. There are instructions for machine, but unusable for us. It would be an easy fix to get a normal, cheap pot for the room! We would definitely stay here again. So beautiful that we wanted to live there!

    Emily2016-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place! Comfy, clean, cozy, cool! Great neighbourhood, mere minutes to the French Quarter. But the neighbourhood was the best: great restaurants, wonderful architecture, great music on Frenchman Street. Highly recommend it!

Please see calendar for daily rates! Some days are lower than others!
Built in the 1860's, "Little Orange" is half of a "shotgun"; thus, it boasts the hallmarks of traditional New Orleans architecture: 13 foot ceilings, cypress mantels, pocket doors, tall shuttered windows, and hardwood floors. The shutters are a vibrant orange to remind you of this city's Caribbean spirit. Bienvenue aux tropiques! The apartment is fully furnished and appointed, the space comprised of a living-room (with queen pull-out couch), equipped kitchen, one bedroom, and small bath. There's wifi, a large flat screen TV, burglar alarm, granite counters, stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer. And a great book collection too. The apartment is best suited for two people; however, it can sleep four when using the pull-out couch. As of Sept. 2016, there's a brand new Queen mattress in the bedroom: it's a Comfort Dreams Select-A Memory Foam (medium-firm) and very comfortable! Please know that when the couch is extended in the living-room, that common space radically shrinks. There's a $25 fee per adult guest #3 and #4. There is no additional fee for children. The front porch overlooks a full block of green space (Annunciation Square Park), home to many soccer and kickball games. There's a basketball court in the park as well (and so a basketball sits in the bedroom closet for you too). I spend more time on the porch than I do in the living-room. The porch also overlooks my small--but robust!--butterfly garden where a small fountain burbles. It's a great place to drink coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, and I hope the night-blooming jasmine is working its perfume when you're here! The apartment is an easy stroll to lower Magazine Street, known for its many boutiques, antique shops, bars, and eateries, as well as to the Warehouse District/CBD and French Quarter. Please check out my map/guidebook! I've mainly tagged places to which you can easily stroll, but I'm happy to offer suggestions for outings in farther flung areas of town. The house is not far from the Convention Center, Mardi Gras World/Productions, The Chicory (wedding venue) and Second Line Stages. If you are in town for a conference/event or working on a film, my location can't be beat. Likewise, if you're in town for a game, a cheap cab ride gets you to the Super dome quickly. This neighborhood has been dubbed one of New Orleans' hottest for obvious reasons. There really is a ton to see and do (and eat) right here. For those interested in getting out to explore other parts of the city/state, it's worth knowing that my location offers convenient access to I-10. No need to traverse all of uptown or the Quarter to find the interstate. The on-ramp is three blocks away, which means the West Bank is five minutes away, the airport, 20 without traffic. If you don't have a car, the bus runs along both Magazine and Tchoupitoulas. I bought this property for its convenience of location. Although the apartment is an easy distance to many hot spots, the neighborhood itself is quiet--another reason I bought this property. Your sleep will not be disturbed by traffic or street cheer. The Mississippi rolls by just two blocks away, so the hood has a sultry "edge of town" feel. I love this about it. Neither uptown nor downtown, it floats in between, spooned by the river(URL HIDDEN) Regretfully, pets are not allowed.
Lower Magazine Street is made for wandering. Just two blocks away, it offers an endless stream of boutiques, cafes, bars, coffee shops, and restaurants of all price ranges. Many guests choose to devote one full day to exploring Magazine. In terms of immediate surroundings, my neighbor is restoring a gorgeous, but run-down, New Orleans Greek-revival mansion. He is doing the work himself (!) with the help of family and friends (it is an impressive undertaking), so his construction work is intermittent. Often there are sizable breaks between bursts. For the most part, it is quite quiet, but construction work does flare up from time to time. As 99% of previous reviews attest, noise is not a regular feature of Little Orange life, yet all potential guests should indeed be aware of the potential for construction noise. Whenever my neighbor communicates his work schedule, I will pass this info along to potential as well as confirmed future guests.
  • Casa ótima e ideal para casais. Decoração atraente e cozinha completa. A cama é excelente. Para quem participa de eventos no Centro de convenções a localização é perfeita, estando a 15 minutos de distância caminhando. E Jessica é incrível, sempre atenta e pronta para ajudar. Recomendo fortemente!

    Marco2018-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic home, incredibly clean, and the host, Jessica is one of the kindest and most thoughtful I've had the honor to meet. A quick rundown of memorable moments: -Arrival: Jess met us on arrival while watering her garden. -Living room: Open, and bright -THE binder: Check this out if you don't know what to do next. Personal reviews made by Jess, often hysterical. -Kitchen: Fully furnished for showing off your cooking skills (or lack thereof) -Bedroom: Good news for those that like a dark quite room to rest, that's what this room provides. Too dark? Rest easy, a night light has been provided. -Bathroom: Deep tub for relaxing, good lighting.

    Clay2018-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for a teaching convention at the convention center and it was just a quick 10 minute walk, which was great. Also the bed is extremely comfortable! The area is a bit industrial compared to other parts of town, but there are some pretty awesome places within walking distance that are much less crowded than in the French Quarter. Definitely check out her guidebook for suggestions.

    Maresa2017-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Little Orange was a cute little spot. The location was great. We even watched a soccer match in the park directly across the street. Jessica was quick to respond when we asked a question. We wish we had longer than a day at her place as she had so many recommendations. We did have dinner at a restaurant she recommended and it was very nice. Ooh .... and the bed was comfy. Would definitely recommend!

    Angela2018-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very comfortable stay in Jessica's beautifully furnished place. The location is very central and the playground across the street was an added bonus for our toddler. Jessica left us a very helpful binder of information and followed up with us during our stay to make sure everything was going OK. Would love to return sometime.

    Janice2013-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica's place was fabulous! A peaceful, creative retreat away from the chaos of Bourbon Street, Jazz Fest, etc, and yet the location was central for us. Easy to walk to restaurants and shops in the Garden District and the French Quarter with a bus stop virtually across the street for longer forays. Really enjoyed Jessica who was readily available to us and would recommend her to anyone!

    Leslie2013-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • This wonderful home is exactly as pictured. Great location - 2 blocks to shops & restaurants on Magazine Street & #10 bus stops 2 doors down. We did not rent a car and had no trouble getting to all of the sights, either on foot or by bus. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bed very comfortable! If we ever make it back to New Orleans we will definitely stay here again!

    Gina2016-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica's home was lovely, my family stayed their for a big family wedding weekend. They loved everything about it. They said it was very well appointed with all that a guest could need.

Why rent a room when you can rent a tiny house for your trip to New Orleans. This 650 sq ft home is just steps away from the French Quarter. Everything from Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, streetcar, bikeshare, and the Central Business District are all just a short stroll away. Private entrance through luscious garden. Perfect for a couple or a couple of friends. Cleaning free is included in nightly rate so there are no extra hidden fees with this listing. (City License: 18STR-15360)
Our guesthouse is located in the rear of our property. Estimated to have been built in 1837 (the same date as the main house), this space has gone through a total transformation. A mix of modern and old New Orleans bundled into a small house. There are 8 sets of French doors, and 4 sets of casement windows, allowing for the space to be drenched in natural light. When the weather is nice and a cool breeze is blowing, there is nothing better than opening all the doors and windows so you can take in all the sounds the neighborhood has to offer. Downstairs is an open living room and kitchen area with a complete 4 piece kitchen suite (full sized fridge stocked with bottled water and a Keurig with coffee), a moveable island, and a couch that folds down to a twin sized bed. There is also a flat screen TV with DVR, HBO (so you don't have to worry about missing Game of Thrones), Netflix and Amazon Prime. Netflix and Prime are already logged in for you to use. A spiral staircase leads you upstairs where there is a king sized bed, walk-in closet, a spacious bathroom, and 12 foot ceilings with exposed beams. Want to lounge outside? Hang out in the shared courtyard or if you prefer privacy there is a private patio behind the guesthouse. Parties over 2 persons will not be considered and will be turned away upon arrival. Parking is street parking which is unrestricted and free to all. Cleaning fee is included in the nightly rate so there is no extra hidden fees when staying with us. (City License: 18STR-15360)
The Treme is a wonderful and unique neighborhood unlike any other in the United States. St. Augustine Church is on the corner, which leads to many Jazz Funerals and Second Lines. The church also has an amazing Sunday Mass that is open to the public. As a younger nephew noted, "It's not really Sunday Mass, it's a concert!" Mardi Gras Indians regularly wander the neighborhood, as well as brass bands, musicians, and a pair of cowboys who are always walking their llamas, Shetland ponies, and goats. There is always something going on and the people in the neighborhood are friendly and talkative. You can learn just as much about New Orleans from the folks on the street in the Treme as you could with a tour guide charging you an arm and a leg to walk around the Quarter.
  • Brad and Bret were amazing hosts! They were so warm and welcoming to our family and offered a bit of history about the property upon our arrival. It was clear that they truly love what they do! The home was full of New Orleans charm and beautifully decorated. It is tucked away in a quiet area outside the Quarter but only a short walk to all the action! If you're looking for a peaceful place to lay your head but within walking distance to the excitement of the Quarter, this is the spot! We loved our stay and can't wait to go back!

    Kimberly2017-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Brad was a fantastic host and made us feel at home. He provided many options for me and my friend to partake in, and also gave us plenty of advice as far as things to do and see. The guesthouse was really quaint and provided great rest from days of roaming the city!

  • We had a great time in New Orleans. Brad and Bret are very helpful hosts and their house is a nice and quiet place, perfectly located for walks in Marigny, Treme and the French Quarter. We look forward to come back some time.

  • Brad and Bret were AMAZING hosts and the Guesthouse is as awesome or better than it looks in the pictures. We were some of the first guests so the house looked as new and fresh as it does on the picture. The space contains everything you would need, including amenities you would see in hotels. The guesthouse is situated separately behind the main house which you access from an extremely secure gate on the side of the house. The location is perfect for late nights walks to Bourbon or even Frenchmen street which is an extremely short drive away via car, Uber or Pedi-cab. There is a 24 hour convenience store right on the corner that sells anything you need and sells food for those after hour hunger pangs. Parking is on the street so be careful of where you park because the city will tow your car (I learned this the hard way and I am originally from New Orleans :) ) Brad and/or Bret are willing to assist in anyway you need them to, even if that means putting trashcans in front the door to secure you a safe, convenient parking spot. I definitely look forward to staying here during the weekends that I visit back home in New Orleans and need a place to stay close to the quarters.

  • Brad and Bret were phenomenal hosts! They were so great about communicating with me before our arrival, and during our stay. Our flight was delayed by a few hours, making our arrival pretty late, but they were both very accommodating. The guesthouse was the perfect place for us to stay during our time in New Orleans. It is literally steps from the French Quarter, and had everything that we needed right down to chilled water bottles and bug spray (Thank-you!). I am not at all surprised that it is booked solid through the middle of next year. The guesthouse is very tastefully decorated, the bed and futon are comfortable, and it was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring New Orleans and the surrounding areas. It was everything that I had hoped it would be, and more!! I highly recommend it!!

    Kim2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Brad's place is wonderful. If you're looking for a peaceful, secluded stay within walking distance of the French Quarter and many restaurants, look no further. Communication was great and Brad provided us with many recommendations. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

  • We had a wonderful experience in the Tremé Guesthouse. The space is beautiful, the hosts are kind and welcoming. They provided us with great advices and recommendations. Loved the flexible check-out time. Will visit again for sure!

  • What a warm wonderful Treme and Nola welcome from our hosts. It was a great choice and so close to great restaurants and music. A perfect location with wonderful neighbors we met while there.

Classic old New Orleans "shotgun" house. Vintage, rustic living. Not glamorous. Not a hotel. Cracks in the walls, old doors. Located just a few blocks from the French Quarter and only two blocks from "The Marigny" and a short walk to Frenchmen Street with live jazz and blues bars and clubs playing all through the night. First time using Airbnb? Get $40 off your stay with this link! https://abnb.me/e/IfmJLljEJJ
100 year old shotgun house and you can feel it. It has cracks in walls here and there. It has old charm but the claw-foot bathtub has stains that won't come out and that's a problem for some people. I love this house but it's not for people who are not ok with "bohemian/rustic" living.
15 min walk to French Quarter and 10 min walk to Frenchmen Street. 2 blocks from bus and street car. 70% black, 30% white ish. For all of you who think that black is dangerous this will not be a good town for you. My neighbors are friendly and usually its very quiet and residential. Kids play basketball in the street. People hang out on their porches etc.
  • Had great time at the house! Beautiful place, very spacious & clean. Really loved the garden! Would definitely stay there again!

  • I have mixed feelings about Isobel's house. The good: it was a shabby chique house and close to the French Quarter and hip restaurants and stores. The not so good: the house needed a thorough cleaning (the bath was stained) and smelled of moth balls. The kitchen was under equipped, the beds were not that comfortable and the neighborhood was quite noisy. I wouldn't recommend it for more than three people. The house just isn't big enough and the hot water runs out quickly. Isobel was easy to contact though we didn't meet her in person. All in all we had a great time in New Orleans and the house provided all the basic necessities. Though I wouldn't recommend it.

    Pieter Jan2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Isobel was a great host and it was easy to stay there. I'd recommend it - and it's close to a lot of great stuff in the city

    Tom2014-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • It was my first time in New Orleans and I had a lovely stay. Isobel was very helpful in answering my questions before my arrival, as well as providing clear instructions and good intel of the neighborhood and fun places to check out in the area. I would stay again!

    Candice2015-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sorry for the delay! Everything was perfect for our 3 days. Isobel wasn't there for the keys but she is making sure and gives you all the informations! The place is lovely and so local I loved it! The location is good we've been walking to go everywhere at anytime! I will definitely come back!

    Amandine2016-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Isobel was a good host. I was able to meet her after I arrived and I enjoyed the accommodations. It was close to everything and very easy to find and the neighbors were very friendly. Overall, I had a good time and good accommodations that made the weekend worthwhile.

    Jason2014-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent, clean accommodation in a neighbourhood well within walking distance of Boubon and Frenchman streets and where we felt safe walking around. The shotgun house was something fun and new to experience. Isobel left some great tips on local attractions as well.

    Nicholas2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Isobel is a friendly, responsive host who provided all the information we needed to know. She has labels all throughout the house to make it clear how/what to use. The apartment itself is as advertised - a funky old shotgun with a vintage feel in an economically mixed residential neighborhood. Some aspects of the space and decor were a little shoddy - for example, the door between one of the bedrooms and the kitchen did not close. The general location was good - we liked the Marigny and found it to be a good launching point for getting to other parts of the city. However, the immediate neighborhood surrounding the house is not perfectly safe for walking (Isobel offered tips for which streets to use/when to walk). I would recommend renting a car or bike if you are staying here. Also, sensitive sleepers take note: there were a few roosters roaming the streets (which might be typical for New Orleans?). They made themselves heard at several points throughout the night.

One of a kind house overlooking Bourbon St. and Orleans Ave. across from the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. This overlooks Bourbon Street in the exact center of the French Quarter.
This is an upstairs unit with a corner Bourbon Street balcony in the middle of one of the most iconic locations in the city.
This is a unique place and you will be living in the very center of the French Quarter. I love our neighborhood because of its uniqueness, diversity, and liveliness. It is so rich with history and recognizable around the world as " New Orleans". Whether it's 3 o'clock in afternoon or 3 o'clock in the morning, there is always something going on in the French Quarter.
  • Our host was great with communication and answered every question I had in a timely manner. The place itself is right in the middle of Bourbon St which gives you a short walk to nearly everything. The balcony gives you a great view of Bourbon St. It is surrounded by nightlife and delicious food. There are many things that are walking distance...like shopping on Canal St, the French Market, and most importantly breakfast beignets at the famous Cafe Du Monde. It is even a short walk to the beautiful and famous St.Louis Cathedral. This trip was an overall great experience.

    Shelby2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing balcony!

    Colette2017-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • With a balcony right on Bourbon St you will not miss out on any of the action. BARS EVERYWHERE. It's really a great experience. If you're concerned about noise I don't think you should be trying to rent a place in one of the biggest party streets in the US.

    Charlette2018-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome host! Clean and spacious apartment right in the middle of everything. Will definitely be back and book this place again!!!

  • Highly recommend this spot especially for any one who is visiting New Orleans for their first time! Andres was very prompt with answering calls and texts. Scott greeted us as soon as we got there and made sure we understood how to work all the amenities. Location was PERFECT. Cleanliness was on point. There is plenty of space for 4 people to sleep/move around comfortably. The balcony is the best part! Right outside of a busy restaurant and the hand grenade bar. Noisy at night but those ear plugs really blew me away! They offer ear plugs that block out ALL noise! Definitely will be booking this spot again in the future.

Amazing aprtment in a Historic Mansion located in Treme. This home is located wonderful neighborhood to have a real New Orleans experience. This home is full of history and culture. One bedroom, one sofa bed, a full kitchen and a wonderful balcony .
  • Really appreciate Trudell and her hospitality; she was extremely helpful while we were there offering local tips, and insisted she was always right there via text/downstairs if we had ANY issues or concerns. The location of the the property was amazing we were able to walk to French Quarter market and Bourbon St.

  • What an amazing stay we had! Myself, my hubby and my two children (7&9) were made to feel very at home in Brandon's place. Although he was away, Truedell took very good care of us. She was very quick to respond to any questions, and provided us with a tonne of useful information. We came with a vehicle, which we left parked on the road in front of the house for most of our visit. We walked to Jackson square in less than 30 minutes. The bus stop was a couple of blocks away as well. For those who have a hard time navigating stairs, heads up. It was a tall, steep flight up to our room. No issues for us, but might not be great for some. Another thing to consider, my kids slept on the pullout couch. Ok for them... definitely would not be great for adults. The bed was wonderful though! The house was spotless! Linens and towels were clean and soft!! Absolutely no complaints. Business stuff aside... I can't sing enough praise for Truedell, her family, and their hospitality. We were there over Father's Day weekend. She and her family invited us down to their backyard cookout. Made us feel like part of their family! After almost 3 weeks of being on the road and living out of suitcases, it was nice to have a home cooked meal and just relax with wonderful people! Can't wait to come back! Would recommend Brandon's Place to anyone! Thanks again for some wonderful memories!

    Marianne2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Do not hesitate to book! The house was beautiful, and I felt like we got an authentic experience staying here over a hotel. Brandon was out of town, so Truedell hosted us and she was amazing! Apartment D was really its own secluded area, and both the bed and pull out couch were super comfy. It was about a $6 Uber from the French Quarter or Frenchman St.

    Haley2017-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place!! It was just exactly how its on the pics. Super clean and cozy. Loved the hosts! They were extremely nice and helpful. Our plain arrived 5 hrs before check-in and they let us drop off our luggage so we wouldnt have to carry them around. Check-in was supposed to be at 3pm and I got a text at 1:30pm saying it was ready for us!! Nicest people I've met and great service. I will definitely stay here again when I come back and highly recommend it! :)

  • We were met by Trudell and given the keys. She was very friendly and gave us a few tips on the surrounding area. The space was in a residential building with street parking. The apartment is accessible through the main house and up a flight of stairs. It was comfortable, decorated nicely with local flair, and more than enough space for two people. This location is only one block from the bus stop that takes you to the top of the Quarter, and it is normally only $5-7 for an Uber ride.

    Chris2016-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment in a beautiful historic home, host was very kind and accommodating!

    Ingrid2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Trudelle (Brandon's step mother), greeted us as though we were family. We loved staying with this crew, even if it was only for a night. We can't wait to come back and visit soon.

    Julianne2016-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon was very helpful answering my questions prior to my arrival. Although he was out of town when we arrived, Treudell and her husband were very kind and accommodating. They let us check-in a couple hours earlier than scheduled, so we could start our vacation earlier. The house and upstairs apartment - which we stayed in - was gorgeous and perfect for a couple to stay in. Had everything you would need for a week stay. About a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to New Orleans, especially for the first time.

Come be a guest in my lovely two-room suite, located in my historic Marigny cottage, three blocks from Frenchmen Street and a 15 minute walk to Jackson Square in the French Quarter!
Two rooms, with an arch in between, in my Marigny home: a bedroom with a Queen sized bed, and a sitting area with a daybed set up as a couch, but can sleep a third person (twin mattress. ) The space features hand-stencilled walls and is furnished with an eclectic mix of antiques, vintage furniture, art and books...and a vintage baby grand piano! There is a small chest of drawers and an Art Nouveau wardrobe in which to store your clothing and other items. Amenities include wireless internet, a mini-fridge, and a new 24" television with a Roku and cable. The bathroom is 'European Style', meaning it is shared with the rest of the house, which is just me. It is a short walk through two rooms to the bathroom, which is fitted with a claw-foot tub and a rain shower head. Guests also may use my washer and dryer and have access to an iron and ironing board. I am extremely scrupulous when it comes to linens; all sheets and towels are white and are bleached and put through the sanitizing cycle of my washer in between guests. There is a latch on the shared bathroom door for privacy, and one on the door which connects your suite to the rest of the house so you can lock yourself in.
Marigny is a wonderful, eclectic, artsy neighborhood and is the second oldest neighborhood in the city, the French Quarter being the oldest. My home is a 15 minute walk away from Jackson Square in the heart of the Quarter, and is three blocks from Frenchmen Street. Who Dat Cafe and Orange Couch are nearby coffee shops (two and three blocks away, respectively) and there are numerous dining and shopping choices nearby without even having to go to the Quarter, including a Co-Op grocery store and Walgreens.
  • Simply beautiful, we felt like home .

  • the space is absolutely gorgeous and super close to all the action. at the same time, its a quiet block where you don't have to deal with being in the mix. be warned, you'll fall in love with Merry. you may never want to leave.

  • My wife and I stayed at Merry's place during a few weekdays in June. We had a blast in New Orleans and will definitely be back. More so, we had such an easy and care-free stay at Merry's place. She was an awesome host even though she was not present during out stay. Merry is very accommodating, easy to work with, responds quickly, helpful and everything you ever wanted in a host. True to New Orleans, the place has so much character. Bed is neat and comfortable, room is spacious and central air makes your stay wonderful. Neighborhood is decent in NOLA. We were fortunate to have a car so we rarely walked through the area. When we did, it was a bit of a trek to Bourbon Street, about 15-20 minutes in hot and humid weather. All in all, I would highly recommend staying here.

  • Place was conveniently located walking distance to French Quarter and tourist areas. Apartment was not what we expected for the price we paid. Cleanliness was overall good.

    Yanzheng2017-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious room, could fit 2 more people with the fold down couches if you need extra room. Overall very clean and had netflix and a full size fridge.

    Sean2018-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is in a decent location next to a sketchy bus stop. It is about a 10/15 minute walk to the French Quarter. At night I would suggest taking an Uber or Lyft. The apartment was relatively clean and had great amenities including a full kitchen. The only problem I had with my stay was the neighbors next door were extremely loud and obnoxious. It was a Tuesday morning at 3am and it sounded like a group of children who were still wide awake yelling and making a lot of noise. Also during the day, I was trying to take a nap and a homeless man was across the street outside consistently blowing a football whistle which was very bothersome. If you’re looking for a relaxing and quiet stay this definitely is not the Airbnb for you.

  • When booking, my most important points are cleanliness and location. Brent's place was within walking distance to the French Quarter and it was clean, modern, and had washer/dryer. The building itself had 24 hr security and had a simplistic gym and outdoor patio. Overall, very pleased and would book again!

Katharine's lovely little apartment was perfect for what we needed. A bit out of town and walking distance to the park and local restaurants. An abundance of linen and towels and the use of a full kitchen made us feel at home. Both Kathy and her sister Lisa were really friendly and helped with local recommendations for where to go and things to see.
