Edinburgh: hospedarias

Joanna was so hospitable and gave great recommendations of places to eat. The two kitties that live here are so sweet and very talkative, always excited to say good morning. The location couldn’t be better as it’s a 3 minute walk to the train station, and a 5 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants in Linlithgow. We felt so welcome and Joanna was an excellent host!

Our stay was fantastic! The apartment was really comfortable. The socket's strategic placement was astounding. The hosts, Laura and Gavin, were excellent.

When I tell you that this was THE best Airbnb we have ever rented? First let’s start at the neighbourhood,it was so peaceful, safe and the neighbours were polite and friendly! The environment was magical and the view from the glasshouse stood out the most. The bridgeview was visible from the whole upstairs house. The wild animals there made it even more magical, deers were living just behind the house, DOLPHINS AND WHALES were everywhere!Alan was the best!He was waiting for us outside and when we arrived he welcomed us and toured us to the whole house, explained every little detail and helped us get around Edinburgh— saying that the train is close by and the bus etc. the free parking spot was a lifesaver. For us who are smoking it was also one of the best places as it has a bench with the view of the ocean and bridges. Lastly the inside was phenomenal. Big and lovely. Warm and smart. Lovely room! The pictures don’t do it justice, it was spotlessly clean and we received breakfast bags each morning! The host was very thoughtful and we had everything we could need! The location was perfect, and being able to leave our bags after checkout was very useful. Check in was easy and straight forward, would definitely recommend! Thank you for a lovely trip!

A lovely room in a charming villa in the Southside of the city. Great bus links to the centre make this ideal for anyone who wants easy access to the Old Town but prefers a slightly quieter, more relaxed setting. The top floor room has a beautiful view of the Pentland Hills and is only a 20-minute walk from the Meadows, making it perfect for anyone visiting the university. Louise was very friendly, while the room has everything one would need, including a fine array of teas and plentiful bottled water. It represents good value for money.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Les instructions pour l’arrivée était très claires, le logement était fidèle à la description. Nous étions là pour participer à un festival et la localisation était parfaite pour nous, le rapport qualité prix aussi. Le lit était le plus confortable de notre périple en Écosse et l’environnement très silencieux. Seul petit bémol, le débit de la douche était assez faible. Mais Monica a été très réactive et très accueillante, et surtout très flexible concernant les horaires d’arrivée et de départ. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour, merci beaucoup!

Honestly could not recommend this place enough, to start Gayle let us know that it was ready early if needed, easy instructions on how to get inside, the place has everything you’ll need, plates cups and cutlery, a fridge, microwave kettle etc. Inside the home is instructions on where to put rubbish etc which is always swiftly collected from the box outside, Bathroom is perfect with great shower pressure and the heating is fab. Local taxi numbers provided and local restaurant menus, even some sleep spray in the drawers!! The place is very homely and has absolutely everything you’ll need, upon entry we had some robes slippers and even some little chocolates provided which was nice. We also were given some breakfast items, biscuits and water. Gayle checked in after our first night to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything, honestly 10/10 can’t fault it!! The room is also bigger than we expected! Would recommend and would love to return if in the area :)

a lovely renovated mansion in a peaceful village. perfect for walks and getting away from it all. Len was very friendly and responsive. he kindly let us check in very early Room was well appointed with somw personal touches and very clean with a huge bathroom. We were were in the attic room with a small window and a lot of stairs to get up there which was d fine for us .. kept us fit. if you prefer garden views and less stairs you may like to choose the downstairs room.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way to the Highlands. Jennys guest house is small but perfectly formed. Very peaceful and quiet. Private garden with hot tub which was lovely after a busy day out. The bed was really comfortable and the shower large and hot. Jenny was very responsive with any questions and her pets are extremely friendly. I definitely recommend.

Amazing place so good to get away from the city plenty places to walk

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Sarah. Elle et sa famille nous ont accueilli très chaleureusement. Le studio est très propre et confortable. Nous étions un famille de 3 et un lit amovible était prévu pour notre fils. Tout était parfait. Pour visiter Edimbourg, nous n'avons pas utilisé le train (la gare est à 20 min à pied de l'appartement et il y a un train toutes les heures). Nous avons preferé le bus, juste à côté de la maison: certes le trajet etait long -1h de trajet- mais les horaires étaient plus flexibles. Sarah est vraiment une hôte très agréable et arrangeante. Nous reconnandons cette adresse pour visiter Edimbourg et ses environs!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at this studio apartment. It is situated in a peaceful area with greenery all around and is a safe neighbourhood to go for long walks. The basketball ring is a great addition as well. The room is very nice, cozy and clean with free Wi-Fi, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing place that’s away from all the hustle & bustle of the city area. You can see deers and wildlife running and jumping around. The neighbours in the area are also very friendly. Moreover, the pictures don’t do justice to this place - it is even more beautiful in reality. Lastly, both the hosts, especially Monica, are very welcoming and amazing - they made sure all our needs were catered to and made our month’s long stay super relaxing and pleasant. Felt like a home away from home :)

Patrick and Katy are the most attentive, kind and helpful hosts you could wish for! The Airbnb is simply enchanting and decorated with great taste and much love. It is set in a very beautiful and peaceful natural surrounding, making it a perfect place to relax. Can’t say what impressed me the most: The palpable sense of history in the estate, the incredible view of the horse pasture with the black Shetland ponies (including a little Shetland foal!) from the bathroom window, the fresh tulips on the table, the thoughtful little ‘starter kit’ in the kitchen (milk, eggs, etc.), the incredible cozy bed … It was an unforgettable stay and THE perfect start of my tour around Scotland! The room was tidy and furnished with antiques. A very tastefully Victorian house with all modern facilities. We had only time for one night, it would be a place for a longer stay. The house is central to the Downtown of Dumfernline and a good place for visiting Edinburgh. The Host Michael is very friendly and had a lot of tips for visiting the town. Perfect!

Really beautiful place and honestly easy to get in and out of even without a car! There is a bus and although it’s not frequent it is reliable if you just make sure to plan ☺️ Leo was very friendly and kind and so accommodating. I will highlight what someone else mentioned: unfortunately the WIFI isn’t the best and there’s no signal because of the location so if you’re planning on working remotely while staying here, would make sure you keep that in mind. Other than that, loved our stay here!

Jessica was an incredible host! Super welcoming, great recommendations and excellent communication. We loved staying here, easy walk into town. I would most definitely recommend!
