Sunny and quiet basement apartment that is approximately 500 square feet, and a private entrance. We live up stairs, but you will have privacy once you have checked in. The apartment is about 1.3 miles from the University of Maryland, seven miles from DC, a short walk to Metro and other public transportation. Shopping, restaurants, the Beltway and outdoor recreation are minutes away. Guest has use of patio with table and chairs and a large back yard to sit and enjoy in good weather.

Five minute drive/ 20 minute walk to DC metro subway station. Excellent access to bike paths, plenty of on-street parking, quiet neighborhood. A big, fenced backyard with an outdoor table, a fire pit with wood supply, and hammock for good weather. Great base for visiting for D.C. or UMD.

Note: While suite is private and closed to main home, home has 2 cats—a consideration for those with allergies. Also, it’s an old, connected home with original floors, and thus not soundproof.

There is free street parking near the premises. 15 min drive from downtown DC and great restaurants. If taking public transportation, the house is a 15 min walk from the Fort Totten metro and a bus stop a 1 min walk away. Only a 5 mins walk from Giant grocery store and fast food options.
