Picturesque location on farmland with views of the mountains. We are a micro farm. Wake up and watch the sunrise and go for a short hike on the property, and get to know the animals. We are located 35 minutes from Saratoga Springs and Lake George, NY and 45 minutes from Dorset and Manchester, VT. Hike the Adirondack or Green Mountains, paddle the streams or go to a nearby small city for a play, a festival, or a concert. There is a long list of things to do and see within an hour of our camp.

Hike, fish, swim nearby. Air conditioners on the main floor for the summer months. Our 9120 watt solar array powers our property. During the cold months enjoy the wood stove. All wheel drive a must in winter. We have a spacious deck by the shared pool, pergola, and a shady deck by the stream.

Take a break and unwind at this little peaceful oasis. A little bit of the country is right beside you with the neighing of horses and the clucking of chickens who roam our property. We are close to Bennington College and great restaurants and Robert Frost house. We are 35 minutes from Manchester that has some great restaurants and shopping. Bromley ski resort is just beyond Manchester in Peru Vermont . It is a year around resort with water slides in summer and skiing in winter .

Play a game of pool or shuffleboard downstairs. The Birchwood Cabin is in a peaceful, quiet location but is only a 10-minute drive to Manchester, if you'd like to go shopping or grab a bite to eat! Hit the slopes at Bromley Mountain or Stratton Mountain or in the warmer weather head to The Equinox for a round of golf!

The Smithy Cottage at Consider Bardwell Farm

The historic “Smithy" at Consider Bardwell Farm is the original building used for blacksmithing by Consider Bardwell, himself, in the 1800s. Complete with brand-new, architect-designed kitchen and bathroom, wood-burning fireplace, and stone patio for outdoor grilling and dining, the Smithy is beautiful inside and out. Welcome to The June Arthur Farm! This beautiful spot has a long agricultural history. It hasn't been in production for the past 40 years but we're slowly bringing it back to life.
