very close to home. The building itself is beautiful and the pre-independence taxidermied exhibits pretty eccentric - a favourite with our kids. There is also a fisheries museum and a coin museum (yes, a bit random).

Interesting for its ethnography and the unique collection of pheatus of elephants. It is worth to visit especially because you are going to help supporting this museum. In the back side of the museum, week days, you can meet some famous artists carving the wood and working on beautiful pieces of art. This is where the famouse Maconde artist, Reinata, can be found.
