Otama is our favourite beach (3.5 ks away). Beautiful white sand, unspoilt. Takes about an hour to walk end to end. Both ends have beautiful pohutakawa trees for shade. Far end is dog friendly all year, off lead but under control.

Squeaky white sand and nature reserve/wetland. Also great diving and snorkelling.

Great little beach on the East Coast of the peninsula.

Quiet and stunning. A wonderful drive from kuaotunu (10 mins) on a windy road with spectacular views. Shady spots for a beach picnic. Lots of safe swimming for kids in the shallows. Fun swimming in big waves for the adults. Great day out - no shops take some food and drinks with you!
