Extravagant steel construction by US-American artist Vito Acconci. The Island in the Mur, Graz was commissioned as part of the city’s role as Capital of Culture in 2003. A wonderful place to drink coffee or enjoy a cocktail

island in the mur = sights (don't think that is that spectaculare, but you are maybe only once in Graz :-))

The Murinsel was build as a part of the 2003 culture capital year. Originally it was planned to deconstructed the island again, but it gained so much popularity that the city decided to keep it.
