Ruined castle in very scenic surroundings. Sadly you can't get in any more, but you can walk around the castle when the tide's out. Nice beach with shells to collect and there's path up the hillside.

Ruined castle, ancient seat of the Clanranald MacDonald's, near the village of Acharacle (an hour's drive from Glenfinnan) A lovely drive down and especially the last few miles of single track road which lead to etc beachdan by the castle. Nice walks around there and parking by the castle. Nice hidden gem that not a lot of tourists find.

Ruined castle on islet reached by a causeway. Beautiful views, white sand beach.
