Museum founded 1898 by famous Croatian archaeologist rev. Frane Bulic (next to Manastirine Necropolis).
The ruins of the ancient city of Salona , situated at the foot of the mountains just northeast of Split, are the most archaeologically important in Croatia. Start by paying your admission fee here at the Tusculum Museum, near the entrance to the reserve, as you'll need the map from their brochure to help navigate the vast, sprawling site. This small museum has lots of ancient sculptures and interesting displays on the archaeological team that uncovered the site.
