Historic Pollok House, run by Historic Scotland has some beautiful artwork and amazing gardens. Worth a visit any time of year.

In the same park as the Burrell collection. Pollock House is a kind of Gosford Park country house. Do not miss the wonderful cafe in old kitchen and surrounding gardens with the famous witch's tree.

Within the grounds of Pollok Country Park, this is a grand house of the 18thC, a National Trust property, but anyone can wander round the grounds and basement to see the kitchen/cafe and interesting mementos
