Just past Crescent Lake Lodge on the 101 going west (on your left) is the turn off for a spectacular rain-forest waterfall hike. This is a beginner to moderate hiker difficulty. The well maintained trail gently rolls over roots through hanging moss and giant ferns. Your reward for the 30 minute walk is the most spectacular waterfall on the Olympic Peninsula. Ask us how to find the roots that look like turtle heads, or when to photograph the falls with rainbows.

Short hike through the verdant green forests of the Olympic National Park to this beautiful waterfall. I remember watching the fish jumping up the falls as a child.
Our absolute favorite! Beautiful 8/10 mile walk through old growth forest with wonderful waterfall to finish off. Perfect on a rainy day! The rain doesn’t affect the views! Looking for more? There are a lot more trails that lead off from the falls! Hint: pack a picnic and eat at one of the picnic tables along the road in, or in the campground.
