eat with your toes in the sand! one of the only cafes right on the beach in LA! and cheap! They also have beach rentals!!!

Super casual restaurant few blocks south along the Strand. Decent breakfast and lunch items while you play at the beach. They also have a variety of rentals to choose from.

If you want to surf, here's the nearest spot. Lots of parking, which means lots of people, but it's an easy beach break if the waves aren't too big.

The only toes in the sand cafe on the whole California coast that I know of. No frills food, inexpensive, sit right on the beach, good food, I even saw Vince Vaughn nearby once :) Best local beach too!
