The Old Spaghetti Factory on SW Bancroft is super kid friendly, and located on the riverfront if you'd like an easy family dinner with a view (you can call for a reservation by the window, or for a seat on the trolley, no view from the trolley, but my kids love to sit there) about 12 minutes drive from the house. The OHSU tram is also a few blocks from the restaurant, in case a ride on the tram is on your list of things to do.

Great Food and good prices. Good selection to choose from. Also visit Red Robin-great burgers a favorite for kids. I have a book with several references in the area
