Vast numbers of barnacle geese flock here and find their homes. Over the last 70 years, the bird population has increased from 500 to 25,000 birds. Admire these beautiful creatures and go for a stroll on one of the numerous nature trails. Approx. 25 mile from Barnbarroch Lodge. Why not take in Caerlaverock Castle also.

Super day out for the family, interesting conservation wetlands area, for conservation of birds. Nice little cafe too.

Spectacular numbers of birds visit this area. Badger watching by night is also sometimes available. Next door is Caerlaverock castle.
