Named by Slow Food founder Carlo Petrini as one of his favourite places to dine in Rome! Expect all the Roman classics, as this place inherited the Testaccio's roman know-how, being a symbol of it still nowadays.

Near Monte Testaccio, a typical Roman tavern with a small pleasant terrace and a courtyard, where you can have a seat from spring to autumn; excellent carbonara, gricia, amatriciana and all typical pasta dishes of Roman cuisine, like artichokes Jewish style (carciofi alla giudia).

Just as spectacular as its location is Flavio’s authentic, no-frills Roman cuisine: try their tonnarelli cacio e pepe (square cut noodles with pecorino cheese and black pepper), coda alla vaccinara (oxtail stew), polpette di bollito (fried meatballs), and award-winning rigatoni alla carbonara (pasta in a sauce of egg yolk, pecorino, pork cheek, and black pepper).

The Perfect dinner is here! I recomend to book a table. Coming there without is very risky. But the place is simple and the food is delicous.
