This is a special tourist market with local handicrafts. Not just all the same junk you might see elsewhere, it has some unique items and great artists in pottery, leather, weaving, woodworking, etc. Go find "El Costeño" our friend Osberto Jerez and tell him Mike from El Porton Verde sent you!

A great crafts market to explore Nicaraguan arts. The most beutiful hammocks of Central America and preculumbia pottery. Great place to visit for arts. On Thursday evenings every weeks there are free Folklore dancers shows. ( see schedule for more info.)
