Excellent for food as well, Bar Charley is a local favorite on the 18th street strip in north Dupont. They have tiki cocktails (some on tap), as well as other creative and traditional cocktails. Even during COVID, they are doing daily happy hour (until 6:30) and all-night happy hour on Mondays. They have recently expanded their outdoor dining area (limited indoor and bar seating with proof of vaccination required). Their sweet corn and jalapeño fritters are a wonderful snack to accompany your cocktails.

This has been my favorite brunch in DC for the past two years. Bar Charley offers bottomless mimosas (or bloodies, or Narragansetts) and a full-sized entree for ~$25 (might be $24). There are vegetarian-friendly entrees, gluten-free options, and the portions are not small. The "bottomless" part of the deal is not skimpy either--the waitstaff are all attentive without being overbearing, meaning you'll never see the bottom of your mimosa glass during your two hours...if they cut you off after two hours, which doesn't even happen all the time--BC is quite generous with their brunch seatings on slower afternoons. It's definitely worth a visit or two (or three)!
