Commonwealth Park is the venue for some of Canberra's major events. Here you will find over 30 hectares of lawns, gardens, walks and ponds on the edge of Lake Burley Griffin. Major events held here are: Australia Day Fireworks Floriade in September/October

FREE. Love this place. “Well worth visiting for a picnic or a stroll along the walking promenade with beautiful views.” A place to visit all year round.
