We highly recommend Rum 138 canoe & kayak rental service for boating on the beautiful Santa-Fe River. Kayaks, canoes, tubing, and paddle board rentals available, plus gift shop, food options and art gallery. Located walking distance from the cabin. Excellent shuttle service with transport up and down the river. Great way to visit all the springs along the way without paying park entrance fees. (Springs to visit while boating the Santa Fe River: Rum Island Springs, Blue Springs, Ginnie Springs, Poe Springs, and Lily Springs.) Closed on Tuesdays.

They will rent you a kayak, put you in at a drop point, and then pick you up further down the river.

Rum 138 is a great spot to visit for a number of reasons. They sell kayaks and SUPS and other river gear and they can outfit you and carry you and a boat to a river adventure, they also have live music, food, and beer some nights of the week. The owner is also wonderfully knowledgeable about the ecology of the local water shed and local conservation efforts.
