The buffet's offer takes its roots in Austro-Hungaric tradition, brought to modern Trieste through the caldaia technique. For a one-off curious yet utterly local experience you should definitely try Da Pepi, which serves exclusively pork - every single part of it.

Not for vegetarians. They serve austro-hungarian food; try 'porcina con senape (mustard) e cren (horseradish sauce)'. Excellent the piatto misto! Can be crowded, in mild weather you can sit outside.
