Beautiful lookout. Be ready for a hard hike if you walk up from the trail. Only go if you are looking for amazing natural views, fresh air, and appreciate one of the widest river valleys in the country.

This huge conservation area spans hundreds of acres, beginning on the bluff top above the Katy Trail. You can take a bike ride to the McBaine Trail access or you can drive to the pools - located just past McBaine bridge. Tons of wildlife and waterfowl as well as eagles.

You’re looking at Eagle Bluff Conservation Area. Another amazing trail for sight seeing! Here, you will be met with an incredibly strenuous climb (there are stairs on the particularly precarious portions) which will lead you to a jaw-dropping view of the Missouri countryside. Along the way you will see beautiful bluffs and, hence the name, you will often see bald eagles flying above the trail. As before mentioned, you will be winded once you reach the top of the bluff, but it is well worth the climb.

Great place for birders! Hosts many migratory birds, as well as several eagle families.
