Charles Manners donated this land to the City of Taylorville over a century ago and it the site of one of the "Chautauqua" buildings found around the country. There is a fishing lake here, playground equipment, public swimming pool, horse shoe pits, restrooms and picnic shelters. During the summer months there is a monthly music performance under the Chautauqua free to the public.
