Breathtaking view and more breathtaking hike if you choose to go down the dune to the lake hahaha.

Great view of Lake Superior and the Grand Sable sand dunes. The walk from the parking lot to look out is easy. If you choose to go down the dune to the lake, it is a big workout to climb back up to your car.

n the late 1800's, mostly in the 1890's, the logging boom came up through the Upper Peninsula starting in the east and working its way west. Today the log slide area is a place for people to come and relax have a picnic, take a hike or get a great view of Lake Superior when it's not fogged in.

Amazing views (Pictured Rocks to the left and Grand Sable Dunes to the right) and for the adventurous, go to the bottom and climb back up! Good workout!
