Cannock Chase, often referred to locally as "the Chase" has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. It comprises, coniferous plantation, open heathland and the remains of the early coal mining industry. The Chase provides a remarkable range of landscape & wildlife, including a herd of 800 fallow deer and several rare and endangered birds. This is the perfect place to go walking, running or mountain biking with trails and a cycle centre. There are other things to do such as a children's play area, go ape facility and a café serving a range of food and drinks.

It has outstanding walks, mountain biking, children's trails and visitors centres with plenty of wildlife too. In the summer months there are concerts too.
