The name alone is a landmark in the history of Youghal. The building itself is a landmark known to all throughout Youghal and even further afield. The Moby Dick Lounge Bar contains memorabilia of the filming here of John Huston’s version of Melville’s Moby-Dick, in which Youghal masqueraded as New Bedford, Massachusetts. Moby Dicks Bar serves light food, sandwiches, toasted sandwiches and soup, all washed down with an extra cold pint of Guinness, while listening to tales of Moby Dick…........ Perfect!
