Can’t come to the Copper Country and not visit McLains. It’s a pretty park just across the breakwater from North Canal Park. Unfortunately there’s no bridge, so you drive to town and loop through Hancock to get there. Unless you want to kayak across the canal.
This state park offers walking trails, a large beach, a scenic pier and lighthouse, pavilions and an ice cream shop.
Beautiful views on the shores of Lake Superior. Beach, park, picnic, walking trails
A big park, for RV's campers, visitors, and locals. One of our biggest parks, that has a nice walking trail, a beach in more than one area, and a concession stand if it's open. (do call to verify this). Take your picnic lunch for a relaxing day. It can be chilly, so plan on a jacket, even if it's nice in town.
