For those inclined, the Silver Mine Head hiking path which extends from Torbay to Outer Cove has stunning views of the coastline overlooking Middle Cove Beach.

One of the best beaches is located in the town of Torbay. From whales to capelan this is the beach to come and see.

Middle Cove beach is a great place to sit and watch the waves come in. There is a walking trail to the left of the beach. Depending on the tides, the caplin (small fish) roll on to the beach the end of May or in June. When this happens, you are likely to see humpback whales. At night, you can have a fire on the beach but you have to bring your own wood.
