The First State Heritage Park at Dover is Delaware’s first urban “park without boundaries” linking historic and cultural sites in the city that has been the seat of state government since 1777. It is a partnership of Delaware’s Division of Historical & Cultural Affairs, Delaware Public Archives and other state and city agencies under the leadership of Delaware State Parks. The First State Heritage Park Welcome Center & Galleries serves as an information resource for visitors in Delaware’s state capital and, a hub for the First State Heritage Park.
