Raven Rocks via Appalachian Trail is a 4.8 mile out and back trail near Bluemont, Virginia with amazing views . Pro tip: Go hike the trail then enjoy wine tasting at Bluemont Vineyard which is just down the road!

Day hike to Appalachian Trail and this incredible overlook. Yes those are my feet dangling off the edge! Can do entire hike back and forth from cabin in less than 4 hours. Take water and snacks at a minimum.

Beautiful part of the Appalachian Trail. Moderately challenging trail that takes about 3-4 hours and covers almost 8 miles of rocky terrain! Steep in several places so it's fun but challenging. The views are amazing! Wear hiking shoes, no sneakers. It alternates between ascent and descent rather frequently (the roller coaster). The overlook is beautiful.

Nice hike. Beautiful views. 10-to-15-minute car ride to the trail head. Not for the faint of heart.
