The Snowking Castle opens March 1st and last until March 31st. It is situated on Great Slave Lake and is constructed of snow and ice. It is very impressive. Long John Jamboree happens one of the last weekends in March. There is ice carving, dog sled races, bonfires, fireworks, beer garden, and so much more.

Only open in March, this is a winter long creation and a must see if you're here in March. It's literally an ice castle.
One of the most unique experiences Yellowknife offers in March is the Snowking’s Winter Festival. It’s a 2-story castle built of snow and ice on a frozen lake!
