The boardwalk is a nice change from just a plain dirt trail. This is great to take kids or even if you want to go out running. There is no cost. Half way through the loop is a big play house type thing that kids really enjoy!

A short drive from home, this is a great location for a flat 1.5 mile walk with great views. Scenic and peaceful!

After weeks in the city, look for some solitude. Marsh land with board walk for birdwatching, quiet open land preserve.

GREAT SALT LAKE SHORELAND PRESERVE – [6 miles away] Great Place to view the Marshes on the edge of the Great salt Lake. Place for Bird watching. An easy walk on the wooden boardwalk with two viewing structures. Unimpeded views on the mountains. Several signs letting you know the history, bird population and purpose for this preserve. Clean Bathrooms, but no other services. Bring water and binoculars. Great place for 1 to 2 hours of viewing the area. Best times to see wild life are early in the day or late in the day, before sunset when all the birds and wild life are feeding. Many plants adapted to the higher salt content of the water running off from the mountains. Gorgeous views from the "castle" about halfway down the walk. Great for folks who really don't know much about why we need this land for birds and animals migrating from Way up north to way down in Central America
