If you decide to visit Pyrgos, make sure to grab a bite at this traditional Cypriot taverna. Sit in the yard under the shade of the oldest oak tree in Cyprus (1898) measuring at 20m tall and 4.85m girth at breast height. Fun fact: Pyrgos is in the Nicosia district so that means Nicosia is technically a seaside district too! You can visit Pyrgos either through Pafos via the road network in the Republic of Cyprus or drive through the border of Ayios Dometios to the occupied part of the island.
