The apartment is excellently situated to explore the West Coast of Scotland and beyond, those who wish to take the train can do so easily as the Port Glasgow Train stations is a 7mins walk away, from here you can travel easily to major destinations throughout Scotland. Open Plan Living Area / Kitchen / Dining: The entrance to the living area is framed by a stunning carved door and frame which provides the picture perfect framework to the stunning views the apartment offers. Perfect during both sunrise and sunset the living area is lit up when the weather affords and during the winter months the snow-topped mountains are visible. With two extra large superbly comfortable Tetrad leather and fabric sofas, the living area can easily accommodate an extra two adults for sleeping if required. Tudo reuniu ou excedeu nossas expectativas: visão espetacular para cima e para baixo o Clyde, muitos espaço para seis de nós e muito bem equipado e apartamento mobiliado. Até o tempo estava ótimo. O loft está perfeitamente situado para passear com fácil acesso à auto-estrada para Glasgow e Edimburgo, bem como a costa de Clyde e Loch Lomond. O novo retail park fica a uma curta distância. Sunny, self-contained, secluded and private cottage with a view from the deck over the River Leven and a private gate giving you access to Loch Lomond in 10 minutes in one direction or a longer walk (or cycle) to Dumbarton the other. Available for a minimum of 2 nights. Nicely decorated, furnished and a comfy mattress and memory foam pillows. Easy to get to with or without a car. Quiet and private setting with off-street parking within the town of Balloch. There is a supermarket 5 minutes' walk away open 7am to 10pm 7 days/week. It is a 10 minute walk to Lomond Shores, a quality shopping centre, Sealife Centre, and a tourist office. There are plenty of good walks through an 80 hectare Country Park just 5 minutes' walk away or up the west side of Loch Lomond towards Luss. The more adventurous traveler can access the stunning Trossachs National Park for ample walking / hiking / cycling / sailing / canoeing opportunities. Set in the wooded grounds of our lovingly restored 1902 house offering privacy, yet only a few minutes' walk from Balloch train station and local shops, pubs, and restaurants. Bright and contemporary, the Cottage is open-plan, divided into sitting area, kitchen, and bedroom with a separate bathroom. French doors open onto a deck overlooking the river and garden to sit back and relax in nature. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your self-catering needs with electric cooker with double oven and 4-ring halogen hob, large fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, and all glassware, cookware, crockery, and cutlery. For more adventurous chefs and bakers we can provide other items. Fresh hotel quality Egyptian cotton bedding and fluffy towels will be provided. The cottage has electric radiators and is very cosy. The bed is a 5 foot UK double. The mattress is medium firm. There is a WiFi transmitter in the cottage providing a fast and reliable connection. There is an LCD Free-View TV/DVD player and a selection of DVDs. The TV has an A/V inputs so you can use it to watch your movies from your own device. Fisherwood Cottage sleeps 2 adults. It is not suitable for children or pets. Tea, fresh milk, biscuits, a guest guide and local tourist attractions leaflets will be provided upon your arrival. In the summer there is plenty of wild garlic growing by the door - help yourself and use the leaves in cooking or salads. You'll see from the photographs that there is an area to sit and have a BBQ. You can either use an instant BBQ or we can lend you a small grill for use with charcoal. There is a wide choice of cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs within walking distance if you do not feel like cooking. The Cottage is self contained with a full kitchen and bathroom offering you complete privacy. We are available to help you organize your day outs and with anything else you might need. There are lots of walks around the loch from here, or a 4km walk along the riverside to Dumbarton Castle and Maritime Museum. Balloch has seven pubs and numerous restaurants, all within 10 minutes' walk. There is often live (folk) music in the Doghouse pub, see below. MOST IMPORTANT: When you book you'll get the address and directions. You can use SatNav/GPS to get to Balloch but then PLEASE FOLLOW OUR DIRECTIONS. GPS WILL TAKE YOU TO THE WRONG PLACE! There is no house number and we are NOT in Fisherwood Road. FINDING LOCAL MUSIC & EVENTS (Airbnb won't allow web links so we have shown the words you need to type into a search engine using "".) There are two pubs in Balloch that offer live music, you can check on their sites: "stonegate inns" then put "balloch" into 'town'. Further afield (you need a car) is 'Pub of the Year 1705' - The "Drovers Inn at Inverarnan" at the north end of the loch or, on the east side of the loch, "The Oak Tree at Balmaha". There are two main events listing magazines for Glasgow: "the list glasgow" "the skinny" which tends to list more informal free events FINDING INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOCH visitscotland full stop com lochlomond-trossachs full stop org lovelochlomond full stop com Most of the castles in Scotland belong to the Crown: "historic scotland". Historic houses, sites, and gardens around Scotland are managed by the National Trust Scotland: "national trust scotland". Both organizations offer 3-day passes - individual entry can be expensive. Check their sites. The Cottage is only a few minutes' walk from Balloch station with a half-hourly service to Glasgow and beyond, 7 days a week. (Change at Dumbarton for the Oban / Fort William Harry Potter line.) There is a taxi stance by the station. Balloch is on the route for the Glasgow to Fort William Citylink bus. There are local bus links to Stirling, Balmaha (for Ben Lomond).
    Local pubs and restaurants are just a 5 minutes' walk away. We provide leaflets and a guest guide with maps and suggestions of what to see locally and further afield. The Coop supermarket is a 5 minutes' walk away open 07:00 to 22:00, 7 days/week.

  • O Fisherwood Cottage é um lugar maravilhoso. Ótima localização (perto de uma mercearia, um parque, pubs, trem e Loch Lommond), é ideal para quem quer passar alguns dias na área de Glasgow. O chalé era muito limpo e bem conservado. Além disso, oferece uma vista deslumbrante do rio próximo, sem mencionar o pequeno riacho que corre atrás.   • O chalé de Michael & Nowwenns era adorável, muito limpo, muitos folhetos informativos para turistas, boa água quente para chuveiros, roupas de cama e toalhas limpas. Os jardins da propriedade são lindos, com uma nova ponte suspensa, muitas áreas para explorar. Vá para o fundo do jardim até o portão e você pode passear ao longo do canal.     Built in 1888, Cats Castle sits in two acres on the seaward side of the A814, just beyond the western edge of Dumbarton. The property has wonderful views down the Firth of Clyde. Cats Castle is close to Glasgow, Helensburgh, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. The castle comprises three reception rooms, all with working fireplaces, a family kitchen, pantry, and five bedrooms, including the turret bedroom on the top floor. Suitable for family holidays or special occasions.
    Cats Castle sits in grounds of about two acres on the seaward side of the A814, just beyond the western edge of Dumbarton. It is close to the conservation village of Cardross and about 6 miles from Helensburgh, one of western Scotland’s most desirable towns. Cardross is a quiet village with a respected primary school, tennis club, bowling club and one of the finest golf courses in west central Scotland. There is also a village store, post office and country pub. Helensburgh is a larger town offering more extensive services. The birthplace of John Logie Baird, the inventor of television, the town now offers an excellent range of local and specialist shops and supermarkets including Waitrose. On the Firth of Clyde, nearby Rhu Marina (8 miles) is one of Scotland’s most popular marinas with excellent facilities and easy access to some of the worlds most testing sailing waters. Loch Lomond is within 7 miles and offers spectacular scenery, pleasant walks, water sports and Loch Lomond Golf Club. Nearby Cameron House Hotel and Spa provides private leisure facilities including a swimming pool, gymnasium and marina.

  • Ótima casa em um belo cenário, perfeito para a reunião de família que nós apreciamos aqui. A casa é cheia de personalidade, mas ainda com todas as comodidades modernas que precisávamos. A princípio pensei que poderia ser frio com tetos tão altos em todos os cômodos, mas não havia necessidade de se preocupar. A casa estava tostada todo o fim de semana. Vistas deslumbrantes de todos os quartos, especialmente o lounge e quarto principal. Há muito o que fazer na área (mesmo para um grupo de 8 primos em seus 50's não utilizado até tarde da noite mais!). Tivemos um grande Dia de Spa localmente um dia, em seguida, apreciamos uma viagem fabulosa de barco no Loch Lomond de Cameron House em outro dia. Mas principalmente nós sentamos esfriando fora e alcançando um ao outro em cima de comida boa e vinho bom no Castelo de Gatos bonito. Recomendaria altamente.

  • Nossa família tinha tomado a minha mãe aqui como uma surpresa para o seu aniversário de 70 anos e ela se apaixonou completamente com o lugar, todos nós fizemos! A vista das janelas, a lareira, o quarto principal e a linda sala de jantar foram os destaques para nós. Cats Castle totalmente excedeu as nossas expectativas e nós não queremos sair! Tudo foi perfeito e o Place foi quartos limpos! O vinho e shortbread à esquerda na cozinha foram um adorável little toque também. Espero voltar em breve !!

    Welcome to our cosy, warm and stylish flat close to Glasgow & on Loch Lomond's doorstep! Our one-bedroom flat is in a 130 year old building and is in a leafy, quiet, residential neighbourhood overlooking the historic Dumbarton Castle, which is a 5 minute walk and open to visitors. Close by there are numerous shops, convenience stores, takeaways and 2 supermarkets. A short drive away is Loch Lomond National park and the train station (2 minute walk) takes you to the major Scottish cities!
    Our flat is in a lovely old building which dates back to the 19th century, so if you’re looking for bags of character and old period features, this is the perfect choice. However, if you’re looking for modern, sleek lines and pristine living, a more modern apartment/building may be better suited! The ground floor apartment is very cosy with dark tones, natural wood and lovely soft furnishings. There is a HD 4K TV, compatible with your laptop, with smart TV apps, Netflix, YouTube, BBC IPlayer etc and fast broadband internet throughout the apartment. The bedroom has a large walk-in wardrobe and full-length mirrors, as well as a dressing table overlooking the private garden and utility with washing machine. Our bathroom is traditionally styled and provides fluffy towels, large old bathtub and a powerful shower, too! Our kitchen is small, modern & perfectly designed for all your needs, with cupboards full of essentials and condiments to use. To the front of the property are views of the leafy square where we personally love to enjoy a coffee and read in the mornings! There's plenty of free on-street parking all around the flat, too. We love having people use our space and will do everything possible to make your stay perfect. We can arrange transport to/from Glasgow Airport for you, too.     Our neighbourhood is extremely quiet and friendly. The flat itself overlooks a lovely leafy square, with benches to sit and admire the historic views. We're right beside Dumbarton Castle which is on top of Dumbarton Rock, and there is a local shore walk which can be enjoyed, too. Perfect for dog walkers! About Dumbarton Castle: Dumbarton Castle is located in the ancient capital of Scotland and is spectacularly sited on a volcanic rock overlooking the River Clyde. The Castle has the longest recorded history of any stronghold in Scotland. Conquer more than 500 steps to stand atop one of Scotland’s greatest strongholds. The iconic Rock of the Clyde has heritage as breathtaking as its views over the Clyde, Loch Lomond and Argyll. Throughout Dumbarton Castle’s long history it has been a royal residence and a fortress, and has many fascinating connections from the Vikings to the Scottish Wars of Independence. Mary Queen of Scots sailed to France from here as a child in 1548.

    A comfortable room in the foothills of the Kilpatrick Hills, overlooking Dumbarton and the River Clyde to the South. The house is located for easy journeys by road and public transport to picturesque Loch Lomond as well as trendy & historic Glasgow. In-house complementary therapies also available. We live with our lovely dog, Dexter. Whilst the shared spaces are definitely not going to win any prizes from lovers of show-homes, these spaces are clean. Guest-room and the bathroom are clean & tidy.
    We have a small semi-detached house and the guest room is up a short flight of stairs. In the room is a double bed with bedside tables & lamps on both sides, along with available power sockets, a wardrobe, drawers, a heated drying rack and and an oscillating fan (these live in the wardrobe); and a TV with Freeview & a Bluray player (there are a selection of films available to borrow from downstairs & you can also use Netflix & catch-up TV services). The room is well decorated with good quality bedding. It has a radiator to keep you warm in the winter and we can always provide additional blankets if necessary. Each bedside drawer unit has a hot water bottle in the top drawer. In one of the drawers, you'll find a hairdryer, and on the other side, there is a small first aid kit available if you have need of it. There is a great view from the bedroom to the Kilpatrick Hills, beyond our back garden there is nothing but fields! The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and has an excellent shower, towel rail, toothbrush charger, etc. We provide towels. We are happy for guests to use our kitchen and dining table with the understanding that these form the backbone of our personal space. As such, these spaces may be found to be messy at times, but always clean. We sometimes have a clothes airer up in the kitchen, particularly in the autumn and winter months. If mess bothers you, or you just want to relax in your own space, then there are little folding tables in your room for you to eat at. Your bedroom and the bathroom will always be clean and well presented. We have good mobile phone reception here but of course will make our wifi available for any internet junkies! We have a couple of bikes available for hire, a mountain bike and a hybrid, both small/medium size. We can supply locks and helmets too, plus maps/advice about the best local routes. Please ask if you want any more details. Prices are £5 each per day, and we're happy to negotiate a discount if you want them for a few days. Amy works as a complementary therapist, so if you're feeling tired, stressed out, or just wanting some tlc whilst you're away from home, you can book in for therapeutic massage, reflexology, Indian head massage, ear candling, aromatherapy massage and aromatherapy facials too, mere steps away from your bedroom door. She is insured and is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapies, so you can be confident of being in good hands. Costs for the above therapies are as follows: Reflexology - £20 Indian Head massage - £18 Ear Candling - £15 Massage (Swedish, Aromatherapy, Acupressure and Neuromuscular): £15 for 30 mins; £18 for 45 mins; £22 for 60 mins.     Very comfortable clean spacious home from home. The house is a detached villa with wheelchair access and has 6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room and a gym. There is a large double bedroom down stairs next to a large wet room and toilet which would be suitable for someone with mobility issues / wheelchair. The village of Renton is a 5 minute journey from Loch Lomond by train and 15 minutes by bus. The city of Glasgow is 40 minutes by train and 60 minutes by bus

    My home has proved to be a perfect stop over for people looking to be close to Glasgow, Loch Lomond and the Gateway to the Scottish Highlands. This is a luxury double room for guests looking to treat themselves, even if just for the day. My home isn't suitable for guests travelling with children. Guests have full access to the flat including the high spec kitchen, relaxing living room and bathroom with power shower.
    The flat is within walking distance of a number of practical amenities like Asda, Morrisons and the Co-Operative Food. Costa Coffee and the Malt and Myre pub/restaurant are closer still. Dumbarton Castle, the Denny Tank Museum and Overtoun House/The Crags Circular walk mean a day in Dumbarton is worthwhile too. For those with a car, you can venture to Loch Lomond Shores retail and leisure complex or the tourist village of Luss in just 15 minutes. Glasgow City Centre is just a 30 minute train ride from Dumbarton Central Station.

O quarto em si é muito confortável e tem tudo que você precisa - microondas, chaleira, chá, café, tv, etc e Jayne vai lhe dar qualquer coisa que você está faltando se você perguntar. O banheiro também estava bem limpo. Há também um cachorrinho adorável para cumprimentá-lo quando entrar! Ela é realmente muito silenciosa e foi bom ter um filhote. Definitivamente, um dos melhores Airbnbs em que nos hospedamos - Jayne também nos levou ao trem e se ofereceu para lavar minha roupa! Nós ficamos em Dunbarton com um capricho e ficamos bastante felizes por nós. O quarto é bastante perto do centro da cidade e é realmente uma cidade muito bonita.     Refurbished 2 bed mid terraced house with magnificent views over Dumbarton Castle (E9 and E11 classified routes for climbers) and the River Clyde. Suitable for all visiting the stunning Loch Lomond area and beyond, with convenient access to Glasgow and Edinburgh from the nearby train station.     The house is set at the top of a hill, surrounded by open countryside, where you can often see wild deer, and farm animals grazing in the adjacent field. Beautiful walks can be accessed nearby into Overton Estate and the Long Craggs. The position of the house offers spectacular views over Dumbarton Castle and the River Clyde.
    Barnhill road is a quiet residential area and the road comes to an end a bit further along the street, therefore there is minimal traffic. It is accessed from the main A82 road, providing convenient access.

I live in a quiet cul de sac 8 miles from Glasgow city centre with transport links nearby. Breakfast will be cereal/ porridge , toast , tea/ coffee and juice. Free wifi available.

As your hosts, we aim to provide you with a comfortable stay and free, home-made breakfast. We are always available to share useful travel information about local attractions, including the Antonine Wall, Dumbarton Castle, the River Leven Heritage Trail, birding sites and much more. We are fluent in English and Mandarin and can communicate in Spanish and Polish.
    Living room - a comfortable space with two sofas, a coffee table and a range of interesting artefacts, each with its own story of our travels to many countries. The connecting dining area has a great garden view and free tea and coffee facilities throughout your stay. Bedroom - a quiet, cosy place which is free from distraction, hopefully aiding you in getting a restful night’s sleep with the help of a king-sized bed and herbal fragrance. Bathroom - an electric shower, bath and all essential toiletries will hopefully provide all you need to refresh yourself after a long day of travelling or exploring. Garden and outside area - a sheltered front garden gives way to a spacious, south-facing rear garden via an open-access alleyway. Although we cannot guarantee fine weather at any time of year, we are certain you will be surrounded by birdsong and the colours of nature as you sit on the patio. Guest access You will have your own bedroom with wifi and full access to the shared bathroom, living room, dining area and gardens.
    The quaint and picturesque town of Dumbarton, due to its strategic location at the confluence of the rivers Clyde and Leven, was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Strathclyde. Its defining feature, Dumbarton Castle, is a must-visit place. Throughout history, Saint Patrick, Vikings, William Wallace, Mary Queen of Scots and many more famous people have had connections with it. What is the connection between Dumbarton and tea? As a major shipbuilding town, Dumbarton was the place where the famous tea clipper Cutty Sark was constructed in 1869. It was the fastest clipper on Earth at that time and the Maritime Museum in the town centre lies on the site on which it was built. For outdoor lovers, Levengrove Park sits at the confluence of the two rivers, directly facing Dumbarton Castle. It is an ideal spot for nature and bird lovers, being home to a large colony of redshanks in the winter months and a place of great biodiversity all year round. For cyclists, our town lies on National Cycle Route 7, a 600-mile (967 km) sea-to-sea route connecting Sunderland in northeast England with the capital of the Scottish Highlands Inverness. For walkers there are many trails and trekking routes to explore. The River Leven Heritage Trail leads directly to Balloch on the shores of Loch Lomond. The 2.5-hour route takes you through the Vale of Leven and the retirement home of the great King Robert the Bruce, the remnants of a once-flourishing textile industry and many more bird-watching sites.

    17G Regent Place is a cosy, quirky apartment in a quiet residential development. Just 20 minutes from the heart of Glasgow and 20 minutes from Loch Lomond. This quiet, spacious flat is situated across from picturesque Dalmuir park. Bus and train stations are both within a three minute walk, which offers direct access to the city/west end, SECC, Edinburgh and Balloch. The Golden Jubilee National Hospital is a five minute walk from the flat. Glasgow Airport is a 15 minute taxi journey.
    17G Regent Place is a spacious, comfortable apartment which offers character and warmth all under one roof. It has been designed specifically to make you feel like you are travelling to a home… from home. We know how important this is to our guests. The flat is fully equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay including WiFi, Smart TV with Netflix and free parking. The apartment has two beautifully decorated bedrooms which feature ample storage space for clothing and suitcases. The master bedroom has a comfy king-sized bed and the second has a double. There is an additional sleeping option of a small double fold out bed which can be set up in the living room. Just let us know when you book and we can have it all laid out in the living room so you can sort yourselves out when it suits you. The living room is tastefully decorated with generous space for five guests (complete with board games). We have a dining table which seats four which can also act as a desk for those needing to log a few work hours. The kitchen is fully equipped with all cooking essentials: ceramic hob cooker, toaster, microwave, oven, kettle, coffee machine, fridge, freezer as well as the necessary equipment for cooking (crockery, cutlery and utensils). There is also a washing machine and ironing facilities. The bathroom comprises bath, shower, wash hand basin and toilet. Complimentary towels, hair dryer, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided for guests. The property is kitted out with safety features which are maintained regularly, including a fire extinguisher and fire blanket, 3 smoke and heat detectors and a CO2 detector. Which will hopefully give you some peace of mind. We will consider well behaved dogs and we insist all guests inform us prior to booking as there is a small charge of £15 per dog. Check in time is any time after 3pm. Please message or communicate with us if you are going to arrive earlier and we may be able to accommodate you. Check out is prior to 11am. A mere 300 yards from the property you will find Dumbarton East railway station where you can take a direct train to Glasgow, Edinburgh or Balloch. You will also find numerous eateries within 5 minutes walking distance.
    This newly refurbished tenement apartment benefits from free on street parking, its own private entrance and free wifi. It sleeps up to 5 people within 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king sized bed with a single sofa bed, and the second bedroom has two single beds. All beds are very comfortable and feature sumptuous down like pillows and duvets. High quality Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels are provided for all guests. There is a separate living room with a flat screen smart TV through which you can access Netflix, Now TV, BBC iPlayer and other streaming services using our free high speed wifi. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped with all cooking essentials, as well as benefiting from a dining table and dishwasher.
    There are many shops, pubs, restaurants, travel links and tourism activities nearby.     Our new home is a welcoming and peaceful space where you will find all that you need for a relaxing stay. The southerly aspect means that we have fantastic views across the river and a whole day of sun to fill the house. The bedroom is part of a large house and has a very comfortable kingsize bed with luxury bedding. A dressing room gives plenty of space for clothes and luggage. Modern furnishings provide additional storage and a contemporary touch. You have an ensuite bathroom with a shower. Luxury towels and toiletries. There is a TV in the room allowing you to relax and watch the latest news in peace and quiet. You can help yourself to Continental style breakfast at the breakfast bar, which is included in the price. (NO COOKING allowed) You will quickly notice that this is an extremely quiet and undisturbed location. It is recognised locally as an exclusive area to live. Another double room may be available to accommodate bookings of four people.
    We live in our home right on the river, and is only a short walk to the fabulous Levengrove Park. Also within walking distance is the High Street where you can find a selection of shops and pubs/restaurants. If you have a more discerning palate, Glasgow has a vast choice of eateries and pubs, and is only a 25 minute drive/train ride away. Dumbarton is also steeped in history and venues such as Dumbarton Castle, the Denny Tank Museum and Overtoun House are well worth visiting. The area is ideal for walking/running, photography and general relaxation. Only 20 minutes to Glasgow airport makes this an ideal stop for those on business.

  • Meu marido e eu passamos uma noite na casa de Gordon. Raramente reservamos um quarto na casa de alguém (versus um lugar inteiro), mas esse quarto funcionou muito bem. Gordon e Sheila não puderam nos encontrar à noite, mas as instruções de check-in eram fáceis e muito claras. A cama era muito confortável e o chuveiro foi o melhor que tivemos em idades. O quarto e o banheiro eram de um tamanho muito bom e estávamos muito confortáveis. Eles também deixaram dicas para restaurantes, o que é sempre bom quando você está na cidade por apenas um dia. Um bônus para o lugar de Gordon foi um maravilhoso café da manhã continental preparado para nós (café, torradas, geléia de morango caseira, cereais, frutas, suco, iogurte).   • Um bom final para a nossa ida e volta pela Escócia. Sheila deu-nos uma recepção calorosa no dia da nossa chegada. Ela mostrou-nos em torno da bela casa e explicou os três quartos que foram à nossa disposição: um quarto, uma sala de televisão e uma casa de banho. Ao lado do quarto há um quarto de sua filha, ao lado do banheiro há Sheila e quarto de Gordon. Na bela cozinha moderna havia muitas frutas, leite, cereais, pão, compotas e geleias. Foi a primeira vez que se hospedaram na casa de alguém com eles e não em uma unidade separada. Nós saber como isso iria sentir. Foi ótimo! A sua casa é realmente luxuosos, tudo tem um estilo que mostra que foi planejado com muita atenção e amor. Além disso, o jardim e as vistas sobre a água são maravilhosos.     The flat is in a quiet location but just a short walk from the restaurants, cafes, bars and shops (including a Co-op supermarket open until 22:00) in the attractive Renfrewshire village of Bridge of Weir. While convenient for the airport and central Glasgow, the village is also a great base from which to explore the Clyde Muirshiel Country Park and RSPB nature reserve at Lochwinnoch, or the Clyde coast. The bonnie banks of Loch Lomond are just a 35-minute drive away to the north.

    The old a school is an old converted primary school set in private grounds. The apartment is accessed via a main door entrance on its gable. No stairs. The location is private and has 2 private parking spaces underneath the property. This used to be the old school sheds, now parking bays. The river Gryffe can be heard running as it is close by. Bridge of Weir is centrally located in Renfrewshire and suitable for those who like the countryside on the doorstep, with good links to Glasgow.
    The accommodation is a few minutes walk to the main restaurants in the village. Amarettos Italian and The Coach house are more that adequate for a great meal in friendly relaxing atmosphere. There are all other amenities within the same proximity including a supermarket.

    Idyllic location our cottage has a privelaged location of being directly beside the country pathway frequented by cyclists and walkers discovering and exploring Loch Lomond / West coast of Scotland and further a field or if you fancy a more cosmopolitan adventure then opt for a short train journey - the local train station is a 7 min walk and will take you to West End of Glasgow and vibrant City centre, SECC, Edinburgh, Oban, Loch Lomond Shores, Aviemore and Glencoe to name but a few, however there is many fascinating places to visit in Scotland Only 20 mins from Glasgow Airport and buses to Arrochar and the trossachs are on our doorstep too Dumbarton itself plays host to many events including the Scottish Pipe Band event not forgetting we also have our own Castle to explore along with Denny Tank museum a selection of bars and restaurants and only a stone throw away from train station taking you to Balloch, Oban, we also have excellent parkls and golf courses close by, a visit to Helensburgh is highly recommended or catch the train to Edinburgh - the list is endless! A great base for exploring and travelling with the comfort of knowing at the end of the day you can return to a warm and cosy home

The en-suite bedroom is kitted out with a bath and shower, large king size bed and a single bed for those travelling with family. The open lounge and kitchen area has a very social and warm feel to it, allowing plenty of opportunity for time with family or friends, or settling down after a day out discovering the landscapes of loch lomond.
    Tourism and things to do: The breathtaking views of Loch Lomond can be seen from the area around your apartment, and ‘Lomond Shores’ is a 2 minute drive, or a 15/20 minute walk from your apartment which offers bike hire, pedal boat hire, Loch Lomond aquarium, and a shopping centre with plenty of places to shop and eat. The apartment offers direct cycle routes into Glasgow along the canal if you are one who loves to be active during your holidays. There are many other restaurants that are dotted along the banks of Loch Lomond, including our personal favourites: The Boat House ( 5 Star ) but reasonably priced. Duck Bay (4 Star) both with absolutely exceptional views over the loch and mountains, we would highly recommend taking a visit to one of these restaurants during your stay with us. If nightlife is more your scene, both Dumbarton and Balloch offer plenty of options with bars and late night functions. These are located 10 minutes walk away from the apartment. Comfortable beds and hotel quality bed linen and towels, plus free Wi-Fi and TV are provided for guests. We look forward to welcoming all visitors.
    The spectacular views from every window make this apartment unique. The apartment has a secure and well maintained entrance, and benefits from free off-street parking. The living room has a large sofa and comfortable chairs and smart TV. There is strong Virgin Media Wi-Fi throughout the apartment which is free to our guests. The kitchen is well equipped with all cooking essentials: ceramic hob cooker, kettle, toaster, microwave oven, fridge freezer, and a full collection of pots, pans, and kitchen utensils, crockery, and glassware. Era óbvio que muita atenção e cuidado foram feitos para tornar esse lugar em que as pessoas se sentiriam confortáveis em ficar. Berna foi muito acolhedora e prestativa com instruções. Definitivamente recomendamos este lugar. Não muito longe de Loch Lomond, é ótimo se você estiver procurando explorar esta linda área.

  • Depois de um longo dia de caminhada, chegamos ao apartamento muito tarde, mas Bill estava disponível para nos ajudar com tudo e responder a quaisquer perguntas que tivéssemos. A vista pelas janelas da manhã era espetacular e o apartamento tinha tudo o que precisávamos e muito mais. Recomendaria ficar neste local, pois ficava apenas a 5 minutos de carro do castelo Dumbarton ea uma curta caminhada de todos os principais locais da vila. Obrigado Bern e Bill!

    Hillside view is a delightful self contained guest house situated beside our family home. It comes with it own private access, parking and large garden which has panoramic views of the Scottish countryside. It is an architect designed Scandinavian style property. It offers a very comfortable convenient, yet extremely peaceful place to stay and is only a short 15 min drive to Glasgow Airport.
    It is close to all the local amenities, cafes, bars and local boutiques. Right on the doorstep you are surrounded by beautiful walks and cycle paths along with 2 professional golf courses in the village. Hillside view is perfect for a couple or business exec who needs a peaceful place to call home whilst visiting in the Glasgow area. Loch Lomond or a trip to the coast are all within an hours drive from this location. Edinburgh is just over an hours drive or there are good train links from the nearby town. It is an ideal location to explore some of Scotland's beautiful scenery and countryside.
