The gabled porch at the front of the property is a useful space for storing coats and shoes, and from here, the stable front door leads into a small hall. The following rooms are on the ground floor: Living room: This elegant room has original beams and bespoke furnishings and contains a large sandstone fireplace with cosy wood burning stove, two sofas and a footstool, a Smart TV with Netflix access for account holders only, and a well-stocked games cupboard with board games, books and children’s drawing books; Kitchen/dining room: Through the internal French doors in the living room lies the wonderful open plan kitchen/dining area. This luxurious space, reminiscent of a Homes & Gardens feature, is flooded with natural light from the glass roof lantern and is perfect for socialising. This space contains a double electric oven, a three-ring induction hob and extraction bar, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a washing machine, iPod docking station with Bluetooth connector, round dining table with seating for four and two armchairs; Cloakroom: Contains a toilet and wash basin. The staircase, with its ornate overhead chandelier, leads from the entrance hall to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom: This stunning room has been smartly decorated with antique French light fittings and a panelled feature wall which contrasts with the otherwise light, neutral tones of the room. This bedroom contains a king size bed, a fitted wardrobe and trunk for additional storage, a gilt-edged mirror and an armchair; Bedroom 2: Overlooking the garden, this lovely room has a modern contemporary countryside décor and contains a double bed, bedside tables and hanging rail with shelf for storage and a bedroom chair; Family bathroom: A stylish bathroom which contains a bath with overhead shower, toilet, wash basin, heated towel rail and demister mirror. The enchanting south facing back garden wraps around the cottage, with miniature box hedges and an array of beautiful flowers, shrubs and mature trees filling the raised beds at the borders. An impressive date palm tree gives the garden an exotic feel and besides this lies the patio area which contains a large outdoor table with seating for four and a charcoal barbecue. To the side of the cottage there is a lawn area and the addition of dusk-to-dawn sensory lights around the garden creates a romantic atmosphere and makes it a delightful spot to relax in the summer months once the sun’s set. Two stone steps lead up to the summer house which looks down the driveway and across to the neighbouring farmland and 12th century church. Equipped with heating, electricity and a spacious bamboo seating area, the summer house is another wonderful area in which to unwind after days spent exploring the Cotswolds. The gated driveway provides off-street parking for up to two small cars, and further on-street parking is available on the lane.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

Broadway is a beautiful village in the North Cotswolds, steeped in history and surrounded by stunning countryside. The village gets its name from the wide street, or broad way, that runs through the centre which was once the main road from Worcester to London. This attractive High Street is bordered with chestnut trees and honey coloured stone cottages dating from the 16th century and is one of the most picturesque villages of the Cotswolds. The broad way is thought to be especially wide because at one time there used to be streams running each side of the main drive. These streams were eventually hidden in underground pipes where they would emerge at 'dipping' points, but sadly they are now almost completely invisible. The village has artistic links with famous dwellers including J.M. Barrie, Mary Anderson and William Morris, who were drawn to the tranquillity of Broadway. It was here that Morris and John Ruskin pioneered the idea of the Arts and Crafts Movement which made its home in the area and went on to be an international movement. One of the iconic features of the village is Broadway Tower which was built in the late 18th century by the Earl of Coventry. It is said that the tower was erected so that the Countess could see if her Cotswold estate was visible from Croome Court in Worcestershire, which it was. The folly stands some 1,024 feet above sea level, making it the second highest point in the Cotswolds after Cleeve Hill. In fact, on a clear day, visitors are able to see 14 counties from the top! William Morris was so taken by the tower that he went on to establish the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings in 1877. Food & Drink Broadway has a number of places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit most tastes and budgets. The list below is a sample of the options available: Russell's (www.russellsofbroadway.co.uk): Head Chef, Neil Clarke, serves modern British food in the award-winning restaurant, with local Vale of Evesham and Cotswold produce featuring throughout the daily-changing menus. The modern, airy dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with friendly staff and laid-back service combining to create a relaxed and warm setting, day and night; The Lygon Arms (http://www.thehotelcollection.co.uk/hotels/the-lygon-arms-hotel-cotswolds/): A 17th century minstrel's gallery, a grand open fire and an imposing barrel-vaulted ceiling greet you as you enter The Great Hall, the main dining room of the famous Lygon Arms Hotel. A destination in its own right, people travel miles to enjoy the restaurant's 2 AA Rosettes for excellence sumptuous cuisine and warm friendly service of the highest quality. A few steps across the courtyard, Lukes Bistro offers a relaxing atmosphere serving traditional English cuisine with a contemporary twist, equally as imaginative and as fresh, using ingredients that are grown and reared locally, including a wide range of herbs and plums from the hotel's own orchards; The Potting Shed (www.dormyhouse.co.uk/potting-shed-restaurant): The Potting Shed is everything a Cotswold country dining pub should be. It's relaxed and inviting, with a large leather-and-oak bar and a rustic agenda. This is English pub grub as it ought to be: sticky ribs, great bangers, slow-cooked pork belly and fish that's been caught on our shores. Dress up and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail, or dress down and bring the kids.

We charge £45 per night with a one-off £10 cleaning fee. We offer a weekly discount of 15%. The two -floor guest suite is a completely self-contained mini apartment joined to the main house but with its own private access, fabulous views, parking space and garden patio. Breakfast is a light continental. You will enjoy uninterrupted views of our smallholding, the Broadway hills and Broadway Tower.
The guest suite apartment dates from 2011 and is on two floors: ground floor breakfast room which opens out onto the garden patio, upper floor bedroom with smart tv, small living room with smart tv, shower room with wash basin and toilet. The bed is a 4 feet small double. There are fabulous views of the north cotswold escarpment.
Our location should appeal both to casual walkers and seasoned hikers. Footpaths to Bretforton (check out the Fleece Inn!) and to Willersey (nearest Cotswold village) are literally around the corner. Badsey has strong historical connections with the cultivation of asparagus. The Vale of Evesham asparagus festival is held annually in May and June. Badsey village itself is something of an enigma: home to a blacksmith on the opposite side of the street to a dance studio housed in a former Methodist chapel!

This romantic self contained open plan barn is full of quirky charm! In the heart of the village with two country pubs and conveniently opposite the Spar shop. Double bed (190cm L x 135cm W) upstairs and two singles/sofas below. Small separate shower/wc. Private courtyard and off road parking.
Beautiful grade 2 listed Georgian property with original Blue Lias flagstone flooring and a stunning exposed wattle and daub wall. Lovely mix of old and new beams and large screen window overlooking your private courtyard. Ideally suited for a romantic break away. The barn, apart from a separate shower room/wc, is all open plan. The bedroom area on the mezzanine floor is limited to space as it is in the eaves of the roof. As you will see from the photos, the bed is very close to the top step and therefore extra care should be taken whilst getting in and out of bed. The apex of the roof is not a million miles away and again care should be taken not to bump your head! There are 2 roof light windows, one of which is a fire escape window and we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the workings in the event of a fire. There are two single beds on the ground floor which also double up as sofas during the day with plenty of cushions for extra comfort. All bed linen and towels are provided. We appreciate your help so that we do not have to wash items unnecessarily - anything that has not been used, i.e. pillows or towels, should be left neatly and quite separately from those used items. The barn is not ideal for small children/toddlers as there are many stairs and areas where little ones may come a cropper! Also being open plan means there is no quiet area as such. We do not have either a cot or high chair or suitable bathing facilities. The kitchen area has a table (seats 4), kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer and sink. There is no cooker. The barn has it's own entrance and porch with coat hooks and space for wellies. There is a parking space on the property (under the pergola) and directly outside the barn. Access to the driveway is a little tight but there is a reversing space so that you can leave the property going forward! Being on the corner of the High Street and a residential road means that inevitably you will hear some local traffic.
Badsey is a very friendly village with good local walks, two village pubs and a well stocked grocery shop. Evesham, only two miles away, has a wide selection of restaurants, shops and a wonderful Art Deco cinema. Badsey is well placed for racing enthusiasts (Cheltenham,Stratford Upon Avon and Worcester) and all things Shakespearen (museums and theatres) also at Stratford. Within a short drive are the idyllic Cotswold villages of Broadway and Chipping Campden.

The village is also perfectly placed for exploring the many beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds and the Vale of Evesham, as well as Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
Pye Corner Cottage is accessed from the garden, via its back door, which leads into the large kitchen. The following rooms are on the ground floor: Living room: a large room, with beautiful old oak beams, exposed Cotswold stone and a wooden floor. Contains comfy seating for five and a flatscreen TV with DVD player; Kitchen/dining room: another large room, with wooden beams and a tiled floor, the kitchen contains an electric fan oven and grill, four ring gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge freezer. There is also a wooden dining table with seating for six; Utility room: A spacious utility space, with a washing machine and a wash basin; Downstairs cloakroom: contains a toilet. Stairs lead up from the living room to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1: Contains a king size bed; Bedroom 2: Contains two single beds; Bedroom 3: Contains a single bed. Family bathroom: Contains a bath with separate shower, toilet and wash basin. Pye Corner Cottage's large enclosed garden is to the rear of the property, with beautiful rural views. The garden is mostly laid to lawn and contains an outdoor table and seating for five, plus a charcoal barbecue during the warmer months of the year. There is a pond in the garden, as well as a Bramley apple tree and a Victoria plum tree, which guests are welcome to use. To the rear of the garden is an off-street parking area, with space for a number of cars to park.

Regular trains between London & Evesham BUT car is essential for touring the area.

Occasionally the shower rooms will need to be shared when the single room is occupied. Please note the double bed is standard size, 4'6" wide by 6'6" long. Unless I have friends over for supper guests are welcome to use the kitchen to cook a meal, though most people seem to go out to eat.

  • Lindo lugar para ficar. Caroline tem um toque hábil como anfitrião: amigável, prestativa e calorosa, mas dando a você 'espaço' para ir e vir como quiser e fazer o seu próprio trabalho. A casa é enorme!

Fácil estacionamento gratuito no exterior.

All I ask is that you enjoy your time in The Cotswold's and embrace my home as a home
Simple space that is comfortable and relaxed in a private house that is a working house and not a hotel or indeed aB&B. Your space will be respected and I believe I offer value for money ( The Cotswold's is a busy and expensive location for accomodation with 2or3 night min occupancy only at key months ) in a lovey part of The UK. Therefore Airbnb and The Garden House offer great value and flexibility - plus a warm welcome for sure !
Willersey is a delightful Cotswold Village. Small but it has life and soul - pubs and one shop allows easy living. On the door step of all the Key Cotswold villages and attractions. Also Stratford upon Avon and Cheltenham are both 25mins away if the countryside gets too much !

FULL DESCRIPTION GROUND FLOOR Entrance Hall Enter through the partially glazed front door straight into the light-filled Entrance Hall, which combines as a snug vestibule (great for sinking into the comfy armchairs while pulling off boots and coats) and practical room with cupboard for coats and wellies and a helpful umbrella stand. With its wooden floor, cream tongue-and-groove panelling and original beams, the Entrance Hall offers a warm welcome. Left into… The Living Room The Tiffany blue and cream theme continues into this lovely room, tastefully furnished with two sumptuous armchairs and a large double sofa. The most striking feature in here is the inglenook fireplace with original beam work. Within the fireplace is a wood-effect electric burner. The Living Room is all ready for a cosy night in, where you can enjoy the large, flat-screen digital TV with Blu Ray DVD player and a wealth of films. Alternatively, there’s a Wii console with games if you’re feeling more energetic. An Emma Bridgwater DAB radio with iPod docking station on the dresser is set up for playing your own playlist or a podcast. Back and left to... The Kitchen The beautiful and immaculate country-cottage kitchen has been carefully designed so that every appliance you’ll need for your stay is there, but cleverly hidden away to provide everything you need in a small space; the only obvious appliance is the gas hob with built in oven and extractor hood above. However, an integral slimline Hotpoint dishwasher and integral fridge can be found beside the cooker, whilst behind an ingenious bifold cupboard you’ll find the bread bin, Kenwood microwave and Dualit toaster and kettle. The wall units house everything you’ll need to cater for your group. There’s also an iron under the large ceramic sink and a high chair, picnic basket and vacuum in the under-stair cupboard. Left through to… Utility/Laundry Room A compact space where you’ll find the Hotpoint combined washing machine/dryer, a small library of books, re-chargeable tea light candles and storage cupboards housing cleaning materials and the boiler. Left through to… Family Bathroom As with the rest of the cottage, this room is impeccably and tastefully appointed with limestone floor and travertine wall tiles. Relax and soak away stresses in the large roll top bath that sits under the small private window overlooking the side path. Or enjoy a rainfall shower in the separate elevated double-shower enclosure. The bathroom is thoughtfully stocked with all the shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath you could need – so don’t weigh your luggage down with those heavy items. Return out to… Dining Conservatory Streaming with bright light (even on an overcast day), the heated Dining Conservatory is a great living space: by day it’s an extra living and eating space where you’ll sit to enjoy your breakfasts and lunches and access the patio garden and BBQ outside. By night, it can be transformed into an intimate dinning space with shimmering lighting. Return to…   UPSTAIRS Up the stairs from kitchen turning right into... Master double bedroom The oldest part of the cottage, the master double-bedroom has a cosy yet luxurious feel, tucked under the beams and eaves. From the iron-frame double bedstead you can enjoy private views through the traditional cottage windows. The cushioned window seat is a wonderful place to sit and while away some relaxation time. The bedroom has a lovely full-length cheval mirror, a deep clothes closet, a hairdryer and a digital flat-screen TV for bedtime viewing. Up the stairs from kitchen turning left into... Twin Bedroom A delightful room with two large, single beds, fluffy bed linen with bed throws, original beams and window overlooking a flat roof to the patio beyond. Ideal for children, this room would also suit two adults because of its L-shaped layout, providing individual privacy in a shared space. OUTSIDE The area to the rear of the cottage has been laid to patio and is reached either through the side gate and path or through the back door from the Dining Conservatory. In this clever us of space you’ll find a lovely, ivy-walled sun trap. The main patio area is up two stone steps where there’s a large ‘Outback’ gas BBQ, a rattan-style patio table with four matching chairs to one side and two rattan-style sofas with all-weather coffee table on the other. For a property in the heart of a village, this outside space is marvellously private being surrounded by high walls. (Note: one small window overlooks the area to one side but seems rarely unused.)
Bretforton is a small Cotswold village with a remarkable beating heart. The Community Shop and Café has become a social hub for the village, selling a wide range of essential items and local produce from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm Saturday and 9am – 1pm Sunday. You can find the Community Shop in the same grounds at Bretforton Social Club, which can be accessed by car from New Street or on foot by Main Street. For a more substantial shop, there’s Warner’s Budgens, 6 miles away in Broadway (open 8am – 9pm Monday – Sunday). The Chadbury Farm Shop in Evesham is also an excellent little source of fresh local produce. Alternatively, for a big weekly shop or if you need a pharmacy, there’s Morrisons and Tesco Superstore in Evesham. If you don’t fancy cooking, The Fleece Inn is just across the village green. When asparagus is in season, it’s the only place to really enjoy this local speciality. The local faggots, home-made pies and fish and chips are favourites of ours. (They even do take away fish and chips, cider and beers!) When you’re ready to go adventuring, Broadway, Broadway Tower and Chipping Camden are great for seasoned walkers or a short car trip out. Whilst further afield, Bourton-on-the-Water is a firm favourite for children with its famous Model Village, Birdland and ice cream parlours. Should you have the misfortune of feeling unwell whilst you’re with us, there’s a doctor’s surgery in Evesham and hospitals nearby in Worcester and Cheltenham. The nearest dentist is Evesham Dental Health Team.

Weston sub Edge is a small village close to the start of the Cotswold Way, 20 minutes from the home of Shakespeare at Stratford Upon Avon, two miles from Chipping Campden and its Music and Literature Festivals, Broadway, Longborough Opera, Daylesford, National Trust properties such as Hidcote and Snowshill Manor. We are the ideal location for walking and exploring, so do bring your dog. Transport is essential as we are very rural and taxis and buses aren't always available.
This is a recently converted coach house. It originally housed the village's milk float, hence the name The Quart. We are on the edge of the quiet village of Weston sub Edge, just two miles from Chipping Campden which is where you will find the nearest shops although there is a pub, The Seagrave Arms the other end of the village, a short walk away. The Quart is a cosy, open plan home with a spacious kitchen/living room, a double bedroom and an ensuite shower room. There is room in the sitting room for a travel cot but no door between the bedroom and the sitting room. We are very rural and consequently wifi and mobile signals can be patchy. There is underfloor heating throughout and it is furnished and decorated to a high standard. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with hanging space and shelves. The kitchen area is fully equipped with a double hob, oven with grill, kettle, toaster and fridge with ice compartment. The living area has a tv/dvd player and a comfortable sofabed with extra cushions and blankets. There are lots of books, dvds, walking guides and games for your entertainment as well as recommendations of places to eat and things to do.
The North Cotswolds is a very attractive area with lots to see and do locally. If you are keen on walking or cycling, there are a number of good and challenging routes around. The local towns are bursting with history and ripe for exploration. Chipping Campden marks the start (or finish) of The Cotswold Way and has a number of annual festivals including music and literature , and also hosts The Cotswold Olympicks. Broadway has a fantastic art scene and a brilliant deli. Stratford upon Avon and Cheltenham are 20 minutes away. Nearby National Trust properties include Dover's Hill, Hidcote Gardens, Snowshill and The Fleece Pub. This is a very foodie area and recommendations for local pubs and resaurants are listed in the welcome pack.

Chipping Campden is quite simply one of the finest towns in the Cotswolds – well preserved and full of history but also full of life and bustle. Its elegant High Street is a delight, described by the historian, G.M. Trevelyan, as “the most beautiful village street now left in the island”: a broad gentle curve flanked on either side by an unbroken sweep of buildings covering a host of architectural styles with buildings dating back to the 14th century. In the centre of the High Street stands the iconic Market Hall, now in the care and ownership of the National Trust, and built in 1627 by Sir Baptist Hicks to provide shelter for traders selling perishable goods like cheese and butter or precious goods like silks. The paving stones have been worn away by hundreds of years of busy trade – and it’s all too easy to imagine the noise and bustle of traders long ago. Sir Baptist Hicks was a very wealthy silk merchant and vast and extravagant 17th century monuments to him and his family can be found in the town’s church. St James Church, the town’s most visible landmark, is one of the greates ‘wool’ churches in the Cotswolds, built with money from the flourishing medieval wool trade. It is famous for having one of the oldest altar tapestries and largest brasses in England. In 1613, the newly enriched Sir Baptist Hicks began work on a splendid new house in Chipping Campden with equally fashionable formal gardens. Unfortunately not long after its completion it was burnt to the ground by retreating Royalist soldiers during the Civil War and little remains - two pepperpot lodges framing the gateway beside the church, and two exceptional Jacobean banqueting houses, which can be rented through the Landmark Trust. The Court Barn Museum in the town tells the story of craft and design in the Cotswolds. C R Ashbee brought the Guild of Handicraft to the Old Silk Mill in the town in 1902. Unfortunately it did not prosper and in 1908 many artists had returned to London. However some stayed on, and the Hart family, descendants of George Hart, still have their workshops in the Old Silk Mill today. The town has a lively calendar of events, including the famous Cotswold Olimpicks, founded in the 17th century by Captain Robert Dover and still celebrated every year - a bizarre mix of sports, games and village festivities. Chipping Campden has no shortage of excellent places to eat, drink and stay in with some excellent Cotswold hotels, pubs and B&Bs, as well as plenty of holiday cottages to rent. Chipping Campden makes an excellent base for a holiday, with a number of notable gardens, including Hidcote and Kiftsgate, nearby and with wonderful walks in the area, including the 104 mile Cotswold Way, which starts in the town and follows the escarpment all the way to Bath.
