On the (quieter) West side of town and just a 5 minute drive to our amazing downtown with all the shops, restaurants and wineries you desire.

Separate bedroom with sink; full bathroom, full kitchen, den w/couch-pull out queen bed, lounge beside window, gas wall fireplace, outdoor tub/shower, deck overlooking forest. Chickens on site. Environmentally friendly, using many materials in the construction that are considered LEED certification worthy. Lots of windows. Backyard deck, metal chiminea, gas BBQ. No TV.

Our incredible homestead nestled in the woods is the perfect place to make memories. Make it a getaway in the Gorge. Step outside for a walk in the woods or along the river where peace and beauty will surround you. Trails and rivers are all in the backyard! Take an authentic Finnish wood fired sauna with hot water and cold plunge (add as an extra) or gaze at the grand stone fireplace after watching the salmon spawning on the river. Possibilities for local recreation in the gorge also abound.

Gorge Modern Cabin- your own private world!

Your own private retreat- stunning modern cabin on 16 secluded acres in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge — just 45 minutes from Portland. The daylight lower level includes two bunk rooms and a full bath. Enjoy mornings on the porch and evenings around the fire. Wood-fired hot tub available upon request for an additional $75 fee.

Cabin 43 on the White Salmon River

Cabin 43 is a new home we built ourselves located right on the wild and scenic White Salmon river. We finished this project (June, 2020) and are excited to share this beautiful place with guests. It features a King bed in 1 room and 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom which can be pushed together to make a 2nd king bed. We live in a cluster of 8 other cabins down gravel road in a very serene forest setting with a large field out front and private river side walking trails.

Welcome to our Gorgeous Suite! Our property is nestled on 7 forested acres with panoramic views of the Columbia River and surrounding Cascade mountains. Skamania Lodge, Bridge of the Gods, Cascade Locks, Mt. Hood, Dog Mountain, White Salmon, Hood River and Portland are just a few close destinations. The entire garden level of our home is your spacious, comfortable suite where you can escape, relax and unwind in this beautiful setting.

The Hideout | A Modern Tiny Cabin Near Mt. Hood

The Woodlands Hideout is a small intentional semi-offgrid retreat space, featured on Dwell. It was designed and built by Further Society and created to allow guests to immerse in the beauty of the natural world, but still offer some cozy and more essential comforts. Although the footprint of the space is small, we designed the experience to be outward focussed, so it feels very expansive with the towering pine trees in view.

Walking down the path from the parking area you will see the confluence of Canyon Creek and the Washougal River and cabin nestled amongst cedar trees where you will be staying. The cabin was originally built in the 1920's as a vacation home for a predominate Portland Judge. A century later and the spirit of this escape is alive and well with a full remodel providing modern amenities in a beautiful and rustic setting.
