Rustic on the outside, modern on the inside, this serene space inspires relaxation in proximity to wild nature, far from the stresses of daily life. Designed by interior architects Hearth Studio, Jacky Winter Gardens brings together the calming waters of Clematis Creek, the rich soil of the gardens, the pure air of the Dandenong Ranges and every modern convenience you can imagine to give you a wholly satisfying holiday experience. Our mission is to offer private and secluded luxury accommodation for visitors to the hills, including singles, couples and small groups, as well as showcase the work of our artists and incorporate it into the day-to-day life of the house. Through our monthly artist-in-residence program we also support other commercial artists working in any discipline. We’ve feathered our nest with work from some of The Jacky Winter Group’s world-renowned stable of artists. From custom-made glasswork and wallpaper, to games and framed prints, you’ll become acquainted with new artists, or perhaps be reunited with some you already know. The beautiful Clematis Creek meanders along the bottom of the gardens, and its cheerful burbling is the aural backdrop to your stay. If you want to get closer to the water there is easy and safe access down to the creekbank, which makes it the ideal spot for meditation or private reflection. Located just 45-minutes from Melbourne by car, and situated within walking distance to the town centre with its wonderful Cameo Cinemas, Jacky Winter Gardens straddles the two worlds of nature and civilisation, achieving a perfect holiday balance for solo travellers, couples and small groups. The house is a luxury creative retreat set amidst a half-acre of stunning flora, a creek, and natural bushland. The wild yet tranquil beauty of the Dandenong Ranges has attracted artists to the area for more than a century. Jacky Winter Gardens is situated in Belgrave, Victoria, a short walk from the train station and centre of town. Full directions will be provided upon booking. Car – Belgrave is a 45-minute drive from Melbourne. Train – From Flinders Street Station, catch the Belgrave train to Belgrave Station (it takes just over an hour). Jacky Winter Gardens is a ten-minute walk along a paved walkway from the train station. Jacky Winter Gardens is the perfect retreat for solo travellers or couples, but we are able to accommodate up to five guests: two in the master bedroom, two in the living room on the double-bed fold-out sofa, and one in the studio on a single sofa bed. Jacky Winter Gardens is now dog and child friendly. We also accept single night bookings when available. ***Please message us if you wish to bring your pet or want to stay for a single night before booking*** Each additional guest (beyond the first two) will incur a tariff of 25.00 per night. Unfortunately, due to site limitations, there is no wheelchair access at this time. Due to our location in a high fire risk area, we also have detailed Fire Safety policies which are outlined on our website, which once again is not hard to find.

Bright and spacious family home with Pool

Embrace the alluring aesthetics of this contemporary architecture space. The residence features flowing indoor-to-outdoor spaces, contrasting textures and motifs, vibrant colours, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, and a BBQ patio. This is our family home that we are renting out for 3 weeks over the summer/christmas/new year holiday period while we are away. Our beautiful art-deco home has been extended and tastefully renovated earlier this year. Downstairs comprises of a wonderful bright open plan kitchen and living area with recycled timber floors, floor to ceiling glass windows and sliding doors overlooking decking, garden and plunge pool/spa. Enjoy family meals at the dining room table or laze the afternoon on the huge comfy couch. A fully zoned sonos sound system, operable off a smartphone, allows you to listen to music inside and out. The master bedroom is at the front of the house equipped with pillow top queen size bed, walk in robes and modern, luxurious ensuite. There is also a separate lounge and tv area, powder room and spare bedroom with double bed/couch and a laundry. Upstairs the kids will love the playroom with a tv and full of books, toys and puzzles. There are 2 bedrooms, one with king size single bed and one with baby cot. An extra single bed is also available in the playroom. The colorful bathroom has a shower and a bath and there is a separate toilet. Outside the rear garden has a huge deck with outdoor setting with a grassy area with slide. On hot days there is a motorised shade awning and retractable flyscreens. The plunge pool is safely enclosed by frameless glass fencing with a deck area with day bed and outdoor beanbag. It is large enough for kids to splash in and swim and also for adults to enjoy a stretch out and cool down or relax with the spa jets. The pool can be heated by gas heater if needed. The front garden has a trampoline, swing and beautiful fruit trees. This is a perfect family home and is commonly referred to as 'the Resort' by our friends and family. We are sure you'll feel like you are at home and on holidays at the same time! Please note, our old studio that people refer to in our reviews is no longer available as the studio was knocked down to make space for this renovation. Guests have access to everything you would need during your stay, towels and sheets provided, all kitchen appliances and utensils. This is a fully equipped family home with toys and books for kids. Will be readily available via phone or email if there are any issues The property is in a great location with a tram stop at the end of our street heading to the city, St Kilda, Carlisle Street, Glenferrie Road, and train stations. It is a 5 minute walk to beautiful Caulfield park with cafés, paths, and playgrounds. Easy to get around without a car on trams or by foot. We also have bikes you could borrow. Melbourne is a great city to explore on bicycles with fantastic bike paths and it's also fairly flat. There are 3 train stations within a 5 min tram ride or 15 min walk from our house. If you have a car we have off street parking in the driveway but there is plenty of parking in the quiet street. We would prefer our kitchen to be used as only vegetarian/kosher, but can provide a BBQ for meat eating and cooking.

This guest suite, with blinds in every room, is in a quiet residential area and parties and gatherings are not permitted.
