We have the Rutland Vineyard, a village stores, it is near Rutland Water, there are fab local walks, a great food scene, and there is Burghley House in Stamford, “England’s most attractive town” according to John Betjeman. For me, it is like the Loire and Cotswold towns, but friendlier and with fewer Range Rovers.

My place is close to Stamford & Burghley House about 10 mins away. Off the A47 close to Wansford and the A1 . Its also close to Peterborough & Corby . 12 mins away. September come & relax. You can walk toFineshade woods and Rockingham Forest & the village of Kingscliffe ,straight from the farm . Lots of room for dogs & a secure garden at the back . The walking, biking is all off road. It has fantastic views and brilliant sunsets. The accommodation is all single story with spacious rooms.

Basils Barn is situated on the grounds of a 17th century manor, surrounded by a picturesque 60 acre estate. The bedroom is directly attached to Basils stable, where there is a doorway in between the two spaces. In the paddocks we also have a herd of Highland cows, Hebridean sheep, horses, pigs, chickens and Norwegian Forrest cats. Our animals are mostly rescued and all of our animals are kept strictly as pets.

There is also a dining table and chairs for 2, a microwave and a small fridge. Leading down an oak staircase to the ground floor there is a bathroom with shower, basin and toilet.
