Andrew was a great host, very responsive and even pre-stocked the kitchen with milk shortly before we arrived. His place was lovely and cosy, and just a short walk from the convention centre. Everything was completely spotless. The only potential issue I could find was that the single bed seemed relatively short compared to other beds I've slept in so that might be problem for some people. Having said that, I'm very short, so that didn't bother me at all. Overall, my friend and I had a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend this airbnb listing.

Along with the other reviews, we found this a fantastic house in a perfect location. An historic pub just around the corner, walkable to the city, it had everything we needed. Paul attended immediately to a couple of minor issues and is a friendly communicator. My sister and I really enjoyed our week in York and it was great to return home to a comfortable house each day.

What a super town house with warm and cosy feel! So conveniently located to the beach and the town, with lovely restaurants, bars and shops within 2 minute walk. Our little spaniel was super happy there too as so many shops and eateries were dog friendly. Highlights were Cranberry Swamp for breakfast and Mr Cooper’s Coffee House both of which catered for meat and vegan eaters with delicious food at a great price. Walk up to the Abbey and enjoy yummy pizza and beer from the brewery there too! Fabulous stay in a lovely home from home! We’ll be back if you’ll have us 🤔😊

Siobhan is a proactive host and messaged me with all the instructions for the house. Communication was brilliant throughout our stay and we were given excellent driving instructions to find the house. It's a little narrow on the street to park, but once there, you can leave your car (parking permit is available ) and walk because the location is amazing - so near to everything. The beds were super comfy and the bath is a good size to rest your weary bones after all that walking!! The lounge is comfy and there's a TV etc - has a real friendly feeling about the house. To be honest, we weren't in the house that long, so we didn't really use the kitchen or anything, just slept! Thanks 🙏

John is the perfect host. The house is beautiful and is home from home. John has great taste and is so helpful. The location is perfect for access to the Town. Highly recommended.

Lovely house very quirky as its old but withall amenities. Comfortable place to stay

Our first visit to York with a family of 3 teens. Dave's place was the perfect base for us to explore the city. Within walking distance of all the main sights. Great space for us all to spend time together, (and apart!) after a busy day of city sight seeing. Clean and tidy with everything we needed. Great communication from Dave too. Would love to visit again! highly recommend!

Really nice place for 7 of us to get together for a reunion weekend. The house was comfortable with great decor and space to relax, plus room at the table for all of us. We found the heating a bit of a challenge and we were far too hot overnight (downstairs room, they struggled to adjust the radiator) but just turned it off completely on the second day. Lots of hot water and ample equipment, nice toiletries provided. It was inconvenient to have to meet beforehand to gain access, especially since there were roadworks nearby that caused a disproportionate delay to my arrival. Fortunately Beth's housekeeper was flexible around this, but, given that there is a key box, it seems an unnecessary complication. There was also a lot of "noise" before we arrived, in terms of instructions and rules for the property, none of which were onerous, just felt a bit unnecessary; but perhaps previous guests have been less than respectful in what is a lovely residential area.

We had an excellent few days in monk bar court. The location is very central and close to Yorkminster. The Wheelwrights team were very helpful and responsive. Recommended.

We stayed at Raphie's place for 2 nights with our young sons, it was great. great location for walking to the park and to shops and restaurants. The house was lovely - beautifully decorated and lots of home comforts. Raphie had also left some lovely amenities for us to enjoy in the fridge! A great alternative to a hotel that made for a really enjoyable break - we would definitely come back again!

Lovely clean house with plenty of space and amenities. Beds comfy, bathrooms clean and kitchen modern and spacious. We had 4 children with us so having a bathroom next to the kitchen was a god send! Close enough to the town centre to walk- but quiet enough for the children. Great communication from Laura too. We would definitely book this again. 10/10.

We had a great stay at Roger’s place for a few nights. The location was brilliant only 15 minutes walk into York centre, local shops and takeaways nearby and a nice peaceful street. The house itself is spacious, clean and has all the amenities you could need, with a handy manual available with all the information inside. Whenever we had communication with Roger he was always prompt, helpful and friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone and we would happily stay again!

This is our second trip to Robs place. we really like the location as it is right on the canal and very quiet. We would happily stay there again.

We loved our stay at Sarah's place in York. It was very central, while still being in a calm area of the city right next to the city walls. Sarah gave us some excellent recommendations for restaurants and we particularly enjoyed our evening meal at skosh close by. The amenities in the flat were great, with comfy sofas and beds and a decent kitchen as well. There is also parking although we did not use this.

I had a fantastic stay at this lovely Airbnb in York. The location was ideal – just a short walk to the historic city centre, with shops, cafés, and sights all within easy reach. The place itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was super cosy, and I really appreciated the little touches like fresh towels, coffee and tea, and helpful local recommendations.

Kathryn was a super super host, so friendly, helpful with lots of local advice. Her house was immaculate, comfortable, beautifully laid out with all amenities to a high standard. The location was quiet, attractive and within walking distance of the town centre. Kathryn was kind, quick to respond and a delight to have as a host. We highly recommend

Lovely place. Easy to find. Close to the town. 15-20 min walk. Quiet area. Roof top terrace a nice bonus. Very clean and tidy. Lovely bed linen and towels. And nice touch with the crumpets. Butter. Tea. Coffee. Fresh milk and water. Loved York. Would 100% recommend to others.

My friend and I felt very comfortable and at home on our break. we had a couple of problems but these were dealt with promptly. The property was well furnished with everything you need and the back yard was perfect for our little dogs to sniff around in. Thank you Girls we will definitely book again if in the area. Cottage in a perfect location to walk to the High Street and parking felt very safe.

A lovely place to stay - clean, tidy and an excellent location. The house itself has everything we needed and plenty of space for all of our guests. Being able to go freely in and out of York centre without needing taxis was also great. This was a great find - I'm really pleased we stayed at Celia's and would definitely recommend!

First time booking with air b n b and this was a gem to find. Beautiful house with the little added extras. The beds were so comfortable. Great location being so close to all amenities and the train station. Great hosts, will definitely return x

The house is a perfect spot to stay in and explore beautiful Beverly. We booked this lovely town without realising how perfect it is. The countryside surrounding Beverly is stunning and the town it self is a quaint and picturesque market town with pubs (live music) restaurants, cafes and shops you don't see on the high street that often. Just lovely. The house had very comfortable beds, was clean, tidy and very well appointed. Parking was not a problem we manage to outside the house the whole time we were there. There is also 2 other car parks you can see from the house which were never full.
