We absolutely loved our time at Sandra's place. The kitchen is well stocked and the views are absolutely beautiful. My two kids loved Portree and exploring the Fairy Pools, but they also loved hanging out and throwing rocks right out front on the beach at low tide. The place was roomy and very clean, 10/10 recommend, we would definitely stay again.

This was a great escape from the bustle of the city. We loved the hot tub and the spacious kitchen. We made many meals to save money. If I come back to Scotland, will definitely stay here again.

Staying at the Old Mission House was a tonic. The house is spacious, very well proportioned and tastefully furnished whilst the kitchen is comprehensively kitted out - down to blender and spices!. All appliances are modern and effortless to use (particularly the electric space heaters). Above all they fit the bill, are appropriately sized and located and function perfectly. The situation of the house is wonderful and the creatively landscaped garden which stretches and gives access to the lochside is heavenly. All you need is some cooperative weather - ideally with some sun. Should it be pouring, all is not lost as the 270 deg. views from the house can equally be enjoyed from within and are very immersive. West house is an incredible place to stay, you can’t beat the location which is directly over the road from the ocean and next door to the Stein Inn pub which is a cracker. There is also a lovely walking / hiking trail nearby which is great. There house itself is well appointed, two beds, both en-suite which makes it very comfortable. The log burner is also excellent and was extremely well used by us on a wet and blustery week in March. Kitchen had all the gear you need and we loved all the provisions of dishwasher tabs, washing pods and tea and coffee. It was great and we loved it!

This was the perfect Xmas getaway to escape all of the madness at home. We spent the week having dog walks on what felt like our own private beaches. The accommodation was well equipped and had extremely comfortable bedding. We also really appreciated the supply of fuel for the multi fuel stove. A warm, cosy and memorable week. Some lovely additional touches that were really appreciated. Hope to visit again.

Clean, spacious, warm and quiet home on a quiet residential road. The property overlooks a loch joining the sea and is great for calm and quiet. Mac was very responsive and we had no problems. We loved the space and it was a well equipped kitchen which is not always a given. WiFi was great if you need it and the heating etc was all straightforward and effective. Lovely having two bathrooms too. Near various historic sites. And also pretty beaches (20-30 mins drive), and a lovely play park if you have kids near Eoropie Beach.

Elizabete’s place was one of the best places we have stayed on our many trips to the island! Elizabete was a great host and responded to our message promptly, giving us clear instructions on check out! It was clean, tidy, walkable distance to the town centre. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for what we needed. It was well decorated, super cosy and had everything we were looking for. Gorgeous flat and we will definitely be back here!

Traumhaft gelegenes Häuschen mitten in der Natur und am Wasser. Dennoch ist man in wenigen Minuten in Stornoway und am Hafen. Wir wurden sehr nett begrüßt und haben tolle Tipps für die Umgebung bekommen. Das Haus war liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich.

Amazing place! It was great stay. We had nice and peaceful vacation in this place. I want to highlight the detailed instructions for each and every utility in this house. It was very helpful. Thank you to our host for the opportunity to recharge in that nice house.

I loved every minute of my stay at An T-Iasgair Pod. From the cup of coffee in the morning with an ocean view and sheep in front of the window to meeting a wee little lamb to getting to know the history of the croft. Sandra and Kenneth are extremely nice and welcoming people and I felt very well taken care of. It’s beautiful to see their love for their land and sheep. I’m hoping to come back soon :)

Very helpful host and close to Stornaway and all amenities

Wonderful stay. Well situated to expore North and South UIst, with lovely cafe, fish shop, and wool shop, within easy access. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very thoughtfully, and tastefully, furnished and equipped. Lovely views of the loch, and very entertaining sheep wandering by. Robin and Michelle couldn't have been more helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our break in their beautiful cottage.

Wir verbrachten während unseres Trips von Oban über die Äusseren Hebriden (Barra, Uist, Lewis and Harris) nach Edinburgh drei Nächte in den Lochview Pods. Die Unterkunft war sauber, die Gastgeberin freundlich und man hatte von den Pods her schöne Seesicht. Aufgrund der Küstennähe war während der Nacht die Umgebung etwas windig, was man in den Pods gut hören konnte. Wenn man sich Campen gewohnt ist, sollte dies jedoch nicht den Schlaf beeinträchtigen.

We had an amazing time at Emma’s Hut! Stunning view and lovely neighbors. Everything was as described. The weather was not great but the hut was the warm and lovely cocoon we needed. Thanks Emma! We would love to come back one day !

Our stay was just wonderful. The cottage is so comfortable and cozy, the views are sublime and Donald and Peggy were such wonderful and helpful hosts. Donald suggested some nearby hikes that we really enjoyed. The photos on the website really don’t do justice to the beauty of the landscape. Not only did we enjoy soaking up the views, but watching Sammy and Jake in the yard. It was such a pleasure meeting and getting to know Donald and Peggy, that we were sad to have to part ways. We had an incredible stay at Aline Lodge. The lodge is really beautiful - top marks for all the fires having firewood, firefighters, and matches all ready to go. The electric Aga means the kitchen is always warm, and the view is world class. We went fishing twice (caught 11 trout!), clay pigeon shooting, used the sauna, and played table tennis and billiards. The kids went out on the boat around the loch and saw sea eagles, golden eagles, seals and a porpoise. Robert the gamekeeper was great - really responsive and happy to help. Could not recommend this highly enough - we will be back!

We had a wonderful week at your lovely, spacious property,. The dry, sunny weather was an extra bonus The location was fabulous. The house was both comfortable and practical for a large groug and for beach side living. The Welington boots and Crocs were a nice touch and much appreciated. The kitchen was well equipped for a large group with a great view. There was nothing we could fault, but a couple of suggestions to make it even better would be: Clearer instructions for when the bins should go out for collection, 3 of the 4 bins were full when we arrived. A larger casserole with a lid would be useful. The existing large white casserole was cracked. The Neseresso machine did not appear to work. There were two keys in addition to the front and back door keys which we were not sure where to use. A marker on the keys would be useful. The visitor book was full. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back.
