This is a second floor loft apartment in the heart of Stratford-Upon-Avon. We are located on a pedestrianised street and Shakespeare’s birthplace is less than 100 yards away. Everything this beautiful town has to offer is right on the doorstep. It’s only a 7 minute flat walk from the train station and there is a taxi rank within a minute’s walk too. The apartment itself is double glazed and very quiet. We’ve just refurbished it throughout (May 2021) and are so excited to start welcoming guests!

The property has a bathroom with a freestanding bath and also an ensuite toilet/shower room. The staircase to the top 2 bedrooms is quite narrow and steep.

Built in 1481 the house is recognised as the oldest house in Stratford-upon-Avon and many original features remain including two 16th century wall paintings. Moorhen Cottage is in the historic centre of Stratford upon Avon with a five minute stroll to Shakespeare's Birthplace and seven minutes to the RSC Theatre on the riverside. The cottage (the blue one in the row above) has a private south-facing garden with a gate opening directly on to the picturesque towpath of the Stratford Canal, and has two off-road parking spaces. Moorhen cottage is in a quiet cul-de-sac and has recently been refurbished to a high standard.
