Solid hard wood flooring throughout the apartment with lighting troughs and original feature columns and steel work. The apartment has been tastefully furnished throughout. The Gourock Ropeworks building is 6-storey red and white brick building which was originally a sugar refinery in the 1860's. The apartment is excellently situated to explore the West Coast of Scotland and beyond, those who wish to take the train can do so easily as the Port Glasgow Train stations is a 7mins walk away, from here you can travel easily to major destinations throughout Scotland. Open Plan Living Area / Kitchen / Dining: The entrance to the living area is framed by a stunning carved door and frame which provides the picture perfect framework to the stunning views the apartment offers. Perfect during both sunrise and sunset the living area is lit up when the weather affords and during the winter months the snow-topped mountains are visible. Tudo reuniu ou excedeu nossas expectativas: visão espetacular para cima e para baixo o Clyde, muitos espaço para seis de nós e muito bem equipado e apartamento mobiliado. Até o tempo estava ótimo. O loft está perfeitamente situado para passear com fácil acesso à auto-estrada para Glasgow e Edimburgo, bem como a costa de Clyde e Loch Lomond. O novo retail park fica a uma curta distância.     Tigh na Craig (house on the rocks in Gaelic) is a colourful village home overlooking the sea. The house is owned by an artist, and so there is original artwork everywhere. There is vintage furniture everywhere. Enjoy vintage vinyl collection, dvd and cd collection, Netflix and smart tv. Free wifi access. We are 10 minutes from a train station on the "Harry Potter" railwayline to Mallaig. You can get to Glasgow airport and the city of Glasgow on our little passenger ferry and rail connection.
    I am an artist and live and work here but my accommodation is separate from the part occupied by guests. I offer guests , a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. You will have your own front door access, and access also to the garden and verandah. The house is centrally heated and there is a wood burning stove in the living room. I provide one basket of logs. Extra bags of logs available at £7.50 each. There is a smart tv there together with DVD, CD player and a record deck with lots of vintage vinyl. I have a Netflix account for your use. I provide tea, coffee. The decor is quirky and contemporary with vintage furniture mixed with the up-to-date.
    Our village - Kilcreggan faces south over the Clyde estuary. It is about an hour and a quarter's drive from Glasgow. The Gourock/Kilcreggan ferry runs Monday to Saturday until 6pm in the evening. Timetable online. It is a passenger ferry and the crossing is 10 minutes in duration.

  • Eleanor tem uma bela casa com especialmente uma bela vista. A casa parece uma casa de férias que ficou na família por um longo tempo. Eleanor também está lá, mas nós mal a notamos e sentimos como tendo o lugar para vocês. Ela até se esforçou para arrumar uma cadeira alta para o nosso pequenino! Porque a casa está localizada em uma península, você tem que estar preparado dirigir um pouco mais para chegar a locais de interesse. We are located within the conservation Village of Rhu with local access to surrounding areas including natural beauty spots and lovely walks by the shore. There is examples of Charles Rennie Mackintosh for those interested in Architecture nearby.
    Private access and parking. Spacious accommodation with essentials, external sitting area with use of mature gardens and picnic area suitable for bbq not provided.
    Quiet, scenic area. Only a 30 minute walk into the local seaside town, with the local pub just a 5 minute walk away that serves food all day. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs national park is only a 15 minute drive away and the city of Glasgow is only 45 minutes away via train or car.

    Just out of the small town of Helensburgh, we offer a peaceful retreat in our family house in the Scottish countryside. We have two bedrooms on the south side of our house that have access to a private bathroom. Our garden plays home to a weeping willow, apple and pear trees and plenty of space to unwind and enjoy the changing seasons. As a mature family we will be coming and going but always around to welcome and point towards our favourite gems of the area.
    Our house is far from immaculate but if you like animals and a bit of an adventure then this is the place for you! :)
    Endless walks through the gorgeous landscape, Loch Lomond a 20 minute drive or and many quaint pubs within walking distance. We are a gateway to The Scottish highlands.

É calmo e confortável, com uma grandeza limpa e desbotada.     The flat has recently been decorated with bright and neutral tones to give a bright and airy feel. The bedroom has a kingsize bed, dressing table and hanging rail for your clothes. The living, dining kitchen has been designed to allow you to cook, dine and relax in one communal space and has access to Free Wifi, a 43 inch smart tv where guests can use BBC iPlayer and other internet enabled services a sofa bed with king size mattress topper for additional comfort and an extendable dining table can sit up to four people. The kitchen includes a fridge with icebox, oven, ceramic hob, kettle, toaster and microwave oven. The flat also has a washer dryer available to use, stored in the utility cupboard for ease of use. The shower room contains a large walk in shower, with access to shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The flat is situated within the heart of Helensburgh. It sits above a beautiful flower shop and lies along from the well loved Ginger Bread man who has recently moved into the block. If the freshly baked bread is not enough to tempt you in, their sausage rolls and home baked cakes are a real treat!
    The flat is positioned above a lovely flower shop which constantly wows with unusual window displays. It also sits above the attic a shop full of antiques and nick knacks. It has views of a church and Colquhoun square and is approx 500m from the waterfront where, in the summer there is a real seaside town buzz with places to sit, eat and areas to walk.

    Delightful one bedroom garden cottage ideally placed for exploring Loch Lomond and the West coast of Scotland while close enough to Glasgow to allow easy access to the city by road or rail.
    Attached single storey cottage with double bedroom, shower room, fitted kitchen diner and conservatory set in a private walled garden. There is no private parking space but there is ample, free on street parking.
    The cottage is in a quiet neighbourhood. It is a short, flat, walking distance to the small town centre and two minutes to the sea front which is lined with shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants. There are two train stations, Helensburgh Central to travel to Glasgow and Edinburgh and Helensburgh Upper for the West Highland Line to travel north. You can also travel to Glasgow on this line but there are fewer trains. There is a good tourist information office in the town, a small cinema and the Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed 'Hill House'. There are two supermarkets within walking distance and a larger one on the outskirts of the town. There are also two petrol stations a short drive from the cottage. Helensburgh has two sailing clubs. The area is great for walking and cycling. There is a cycle path to Loch Lomond and beyond and good local walking trails. The John Muir Way starts in Helensburgh. If you bring bikes and are interested in cycling then I can put you in touch with local cyclists who can give you guidance about some of the best local routes. Bikes can be hired from Magic Cycles based in Bowling but you should book in advance in the summer. Check out their website.

A cozinha está bem equipada e espaçosa e a máquina de lavar é uma grande vantagem. As flores frescas dão a sensação de estar em casa. O banheiro tem tudo que você precisa, embora o chuveiro seja pequeno, especialmente para pessoas altas. O quarto fica do lado da rua, mas como é uma rua tranquila, dormimos muito bem.     Woodside is a stunning 1850s Victorian mansion. The beautifully renovated top floor apartment has two bedrooms and private bathroom. There is a seating area in the twin bedroom and a tea/coffee/snack area in the hall. An ideal base for visiting the area or for a stop-over. Grounds are extensive and views are breathtaking. Loch Long shore is at the bottom of the garden and there is an enclosed kids play area. Easy access to Loch Lomond, Glasgow, Arrochar Alps, Faslane and Coulport Naval bases.
    Bedroom 1 has a double bed, chest of drawers and dressing table. Views from the window are stunning. Bedroom 2 has two single beds, two comfy chairs, a coffee table and a wall mounted TV. The bathroom has a bath with hand-held shower attachment and, what we think, is possibly the best view from a bathroom in the world! The hallway has a coffee machine, kettle, mini fridge and snacks. There is wifi, internet (apple) TV, central heating with a dedicated thermostat for your apartment. All towels and bedding, crockery and cutlery are provided along with access to a washer and drier. A travel-cot and bedding is available on request. The Airbnb apartment is accessed up a shared staircase (41 stairs) – our family apartment (not Airbnb) is on the floor below. There is an area in the entrance hall for coats, boots and shoes. There is also space for buggies or 2 bikes. The gardens are beautiful and are on ongoing project with many plants of interest. If it is the right season you will be given fruit/veg from the garden and greenhouse. Please be aware there are 41 steps up to the apartment so it may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
    Shops - Cove Store is about 2 mins drive away. It has beautiful local produce and all general supplies. A small supermarket (Co-Op) is 10 mins drive away in Rosneath and should provide for most needs. Other local amenities include a pharmacy, butchers and bank in Kilcreggan. There are two local cafes and a fine dining hotel all within 10 minutes drive.

    This double room is cosy and warm, with views to the Loch, and has access to a large private bathroom with shower and bath. Fernbank makes a great base to then go out and about and savour typical Scottish Lochs, hills and countryside. The price includes a European-style-help-yourself breakfast. Please note that if you book from 21st December to 6th January we will celebrate Christmas and Hogmanay (New Year) with you - Christmas tree, roaring fire, Christmas dinner/lunch.
    The house boasts a large sitting room with comfy chairs and a big TV, dining room, study, utility room, downstairs toilets and shower room, as well as 5 bedrooms - the main bedroom and ensuite can be booked or a double room which has access to a private bathroom (not an ensuite).
    The area is well know for HMNB Clyde home to the UK's RN submarine fleet, and regardless of politics, they are quite impressive seen close to. Helensburgh is a lovely wee, seaside town boasting many restaurants and cafes, great ice cream, a long pier, swimming pool and a cinema with 2 screens housed in an old church. Loch Lomond is 15 minutes away, Dumbarton Castle 25 minutes away and many other lochs within an hours travel. The Arrochar Alps are also about 35 minutes from Fernbank and boast great walks and climbing.

Am Meadhan is less than 15 minutes away from Loch Lomond. Very handy for HMNB Clyde too! Steam cleaning performed.
    A fantastic little place right in the centre of Helensburgh. Everything is new and fresh in the apartment. Equipped with a nespresso machine for coffee lovers, super-fast fiber connection, a WiFi/bluetooth speaker, a smart TV and Netflix. It has low-allergen Karndean flooring throughout and a cosy small double bed in the bedroom.

    Situated in Rhu, just outside Helensburgh. Quiet, peaceful retreat with stunning views of the Gareloch. The property is attached to our relatives home and there is communal access with your own internal door to property. Complimentary arrival breakfast includes tea, coffee, milk, porridge, eggs, bread, jam, butter and honey. There is wifi available and TV downstairs and upstairs.
    The flat is over two levels and has lovely views. It is a quiet location, however it doesn't take long to travel to Loch Lomond National Park (15 minutes by car) and a regular train link to Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Highlands.
    Rhu is a lovely peaceful village with plenty to explore nearby, walking, biking and hill walking. This is the perfect place to spend some time if you are looking for some peace and quiet and time to unwind. Close to Loch Lomond and Helensburgh and easy access to road and rail links. A nearby pub, hotel and café all within walking distance. Nearby Helensburgh has a wide choice of restaurants and cafes. Loch Lomond National Park is on our doorstep and the Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed Hill House is also nearby.

    The house is a bright and airy 10 year old house on two levels. The upper level has balconies, the common dining and reading areas looking out on to the sea towards Dunoon and Loch Long. It is 20 minutes drive to the heart of the Trossachs and Loch Lomond.
    Our place is located between the Arrochar mountains and the sea. There are plenty of outdoor opportunities such as sailing, fishing, outdoor walks and bicycle routes around us. We also have spectacular sunsets. It is a quiet place. The nearest town is Helensburgh, which is 30 minutes away with a train station to and from Glasgow and Edinburgh, lovely restaurants, Mackintosh's Hill House and beach front walks. There is a 20 minute regular ferry from Kilcreggan to Gourock, which also has a train station into Glasgow in 10 minutes. The Kilcreggan Book Festival happens every two years in November. Groceries, pharmacies, cafes and vintage shops are dotted around Kilcreggan and the neighbouring 8 villages on this peninsula.
    Our house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac road on the hillside of Kilcreggan. Behind us are hills and we face the sea in front. The sea with its pebbly beaches is a 5 minute downhill walk. Kilcreggan is a small quiet village with amenities such as a Bank of Scotland branch, pharmacy, vintage shops, health centre, a ferry across the Clyde to Gourock, a pub and cafes. There is also a village hall and the Kilcreggan Book Festival every two years. Kilcreggan and its partner village Cove have stunning sea walks and views over to the Isle of Bute and Arran.

    With features such as a real log burner, 49" smart TV, fibre broadband and comfort throughout you will experience a home from home stay to include a Kingsize bed with memory foam mattress, a very large and extremely comfy L-shaped sofa (perfect for a third person to sleep on), fully equipped kitchen with laundry facilities, high ceilings, many original features and character in every corner!
    The neighbours are ultra helpful and always enjoy a wee chat, the local village store stocks everything most people would want and is thankfully next door!

    The 2 bedroom apartment is in a smart new building, (the upper right hand flat in the photo) newly built by the owners, Gareth and Andrea. It is a short walk from the restaurants, pubs and wine bars of this attractive Victorian town. Despite being central the building is on a quiet street and the apartment has 2 off street parking spaces. The apartment is on the first floor, a private entrance leads up a wide staircase to a bright south-facing living space containing a fully equipped kitchen.
    There are 2 bedrooms, one with a shower room en-suite and one full bathroom off the hallway. The kitchen is fully equipped, it contains a washer drier and a dish washing machine.
    Helensburgh is known for its Victorian architecture. Amongst the fine merchants houses is the beautiful Hill House by Charles Rennie Macintosh. Within 1 hour's drive of the town there is beautiful highland scenery; the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is a few miles to the east. Glasgow city centre is easily accessible with its fine culture, restaurants and shopping.

    Knockderry Castle is is considered one of the finest domestic interiors of its style in Scotland. The early house was designed by Alexander "Greek" Thomson with further additions by John Honeyman and William Leiper for John S Templeton, the carpet manufacturer from Glasgow. Leiper had also designed Templeton's carpet factory in Glasgow Green. Andrew Carnegie penned his offer of funding for branch libraries on 15 May 1901 in Knockderry Castle.
    The castle is in set 10 acres of wild parkland, where the intrepid explorer can find many hidden features of the original Victorian garden .     Local amenities include a store and post office in Cove village (2 min drive), with Kilcreggan featuring a bar, cafe, pharmacy and general store (6 min drive). Popular local outdoor pursuits include sailing, walking, cycling, golf and kayaking. Drive times to local destinations are: Helensburgh, Arrochar and Loch Lomond (30mins); Dumbarton (40 mins) and Glasgow (1 hour). Day trips to Inveraray, Fort William and Oban are popular, or choose simply to relax enjoying beautiful views in the locality

Foi definitivamente uma oportunidade única para passar a noite em um castelo e foi uma estadia muito agradável. O espaço é quente, a cama é incrivelmente confortável, e tudo estava muito limpo. Foram Bonitinha decorações de natal em todo e a quitinete foi muito útil. Eu não posso dizer bastante sobre as visões entretanto, tão bonito! Eu definitivamente recomendo este local e eu também ficaria aqui novamente.

The bathroom has a corner bath, and also a large separate shower cubicle.
    The property provides a bright and tastefully decorated space, with high ceilings and large windows, providing excellent views of the river Clyde, Inverclyde, and the Rosneath peninsula. Broadband is provided for guests. The living room has a large television offering Freeview and Freesat, and a DVD player is also provided along with a selection of DVD's (plenty for kids to watch too). Both bedrooms also have wall mounted TV's with Freeview.
    The apartment is on the waterfront, and a number of bars and award winning restaurants are within easy walking distance. The town swimming pool with separate kids pool, gym, sauna etc is also located very close by.

    Compact but very cosy modern apartment within an end of a hillside cul-de-sac in Gourock with spectacular sweeping views over Firth of Clyde, Loch Long, Holy Loch and mountains of Argyll. Very quiet. Bedrooms face the rear of the building where the countryside wilderness starts and the only night time disturbance is likely to be the slight noise of an odd deer venturing into the garden grounds.
    Please note that own transport is advisable. Although there is a public bus service at the main road at the bottom of the hill, some walking uphill from the bus is needed, which might be not suitable for young children and/or frail people. Discounted taxi service with a licensed Inverclyde taxi operator/driver could be arranged on request. The primary maximum amount of guests is four persons. However, a fifth person could be accommodated on a folding bed in the lounge, if required. I do believe in maintaining a healthy environment in the flat and keep the number of soft furnishings to a bare necessary minimum. It means no carpet floor coverings, etc., but it helps to keep dust levels as low as possible.
    Inverclyde with its principal towns of Greenock and Gourock boasts plenty of scenic places with spectacular views over water and mountains. Within walking distance from the apartment, there is Gourock-Dunoon ferry offering the fastest route to Argyll from Inverclyde. From Dunoon it is possible to explore the unspoilt mountainous scenery with empty roads of the Cowal peninsula and further afield into Argyll and Highlands proper. A few miles south at Wemyss Bay, there is the ferry linking the mainland with the Isle of Bute. For city lovers, Glasgow with its endless possibilities for shopping, culture and nightlife is only 30 miles to the east.

    The house is a bright and airy 10 year old house on two levels. The upper level has balconies, the common dining and reading areas looking out on to the sea towards Dunoon and Loch Long. It is 20 minutes drive to the heart of the Trossachs and Loch Lomond.
    Our place is located between the Arrochar mountains and the sea. There are plenty of outdoor opportunities such as sailing, fishing, outdoor walks and bicycle routes around us. We also have spectacular sunsets. It is a quiet place. The nearest town is Helensburgh, which is 30 minutes away with a train station to and from Glasgow and Edinburgh, lovely restaurants, Mackintosh's Hill House and beach front walks. There is a 20 minute regular ferry from Kilcreggan to Gourock, which also has a train station into Glasgow in 10 minutes. The Kilcreggan Book Festival happens every two years in November. Groceries, pharmacies, cafes and vintage shops are dotted around Kilcreggan and the neighbouring 8 villages on this peninsula.
    Our house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac road on the hillside of Kilcreggan. Behind us are hills and we face the sea in front. The sea with its pebbly beaches is a 5 minute downhill walk. Kilcreggan is a small quiet village with amenities such as a Bank of Scotland branch, pharmacy, vintage shops, health centre, a ferry across the Clyde to Gourock, a pub and cafes. There is also a village hall and the Kilcreggan Book Festival every two years. Kilcreggan and its partner village Cove have stunning sea walks and views over to the Isle of Bute and Arran.

Helensburgh is a lovely seaside town boasting many restaurants and cafes, great ice cream, a long pier, swimming pool and a cinema with 2 screens housed in an old church. Loch Lomond is 15 minutes away, Dumbarton Castle 25 minutes away and many other Lochs within an hours travel. The Arrochar Alps are also about 35 minutes from Fernbank and boast great walks and climbing.

If you have a car the Loch Lomond National Park is only a 15 minute drive away offering the Sea-Life Centre and Lomond Shores, Loch Lomond boat trips, kayaking, fishing and walking excursions. Other walks include the 3 Lochs Way and the John Muir Way - named after John Muir who first introduced National Parks to the US and then across the globe. Day trips include Stirling, Fort William, Inveraray and Oban to name a few. If you are an avid golfer there are numerous courses including Loch Lomond, Helensburgh, Cardross and Carrick. The last sea going paddle steamer, The Waverley, sails from Helensburgh Pier on Saturdays and Thursday from May to August for day trips to Rothesay, Dunoon, Millport and Arran
